I met a friend at Cook & Craft for happy hour and was pleasantly surprised the menu has changed since my last visit. They've added more drink options and new food items, which made it feel fresh and fun again. We grabbed seats at the bar and shared the Brussels sprouts and the Burata Caprese, both were great and perfect for splitting. We asked for the bacon on the side of the Brussels, which they accommodated no problem. I loved seeing new items like fish tacos, the tuna tostada, and a charcuterie board now offered on the happy hour menu. They also kept favorites like the cauliflower wings and deviled eggs, which have always been solid. Drink-wise, my friend ordered an espresso martini. I started with the Paloma, but it tasted a little too sweet for me--the grapefruit juice seemed off. I switched to a glass of Pinot Noir and was happy. Cook & Craft is a cute spot with an outdoor patio area. I definitely want to go back again to try more of the new additions to their happy hour. read more

This was my first time visiting for a happy hour here. I was sad they weren't more busy. But I guess you can't expect much the first Tuesday after the new year. It's a nice spot in High Street. Great atmosphere, service and food!! We met a friend at the High Street location for Happy Hour based on the menu, and let me say that the drink selection on Happy Hour here is SPECTACULAR!! I had the regular margarita and tequila old fashioned. Both were strong but tasty! My husband appreciated the dark beer selection as well considering so many places have maybe 2 available. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower "wings", sliders, and brussel sprouts. The cauliflower was super good and I was surprised at how delicious they were as well as the large portion size. The sliders were larger than the normal slider and super tasty! We all absolutely loved the brussel sprouts and discovered new flavors with each bite. The service was also wonderful and we really appreciated how fun and friendly our server was as well as the speed of delivery when we put in new orders. We can't wait to go back! read more

We had a nice dinner with friends out at the High Street location of Cook & Craft. Our group got there early enough to enjoy ordering a few happy hour drinks and food items as entrees. We shared some delicious apps: buffalo cauliflower bites, brussel sprout salad, and meatballs. All were good, but everyone agreed that the brussel sprouts were the best! They were soft and so flavorful. Various cocktails were ordered, and my Willie Nelson went down way too easily. The infused poblano/cucumber vodka was smooth with just a little spice and had the option to add a cbd gummy. I also enjoyed the Spanish Tonic, which was a lovely presentation of an empress gin and tonic with added herbs. It was right up my alley but too earthy for some. For dinner, I ordered the special: pesto gnocchi with the added salmon option. So good! One friend enjoyed the wagyu sliders from the happy hour menu, and two friends ordered sandwiches (chicken and portobello mushroom). The sandwiches looked very plain, and yet the flavor was great. The bread itself was like biting into a cloud, so light and fluffy. We had a good time and then continued the night by walking across the street to the Gin & Reel speakeasy. Love this place! Very accommodating with food modifications which I greatly appreciate. Came here for HH and our server Michael was terrific! He checked with the cooks to see what kind of oil they cook with first beforehand and was very nice about it. My BF loves their crafted grilled cheese. You can add protein or add one for extra and he added the short rib. I took a bite and boy it was phenomenal, a bit on the pricey side tho. I got their cook's Philly with chicken, it comes with a side of fries. Flavor was there but it lacked the cheesiness a Philly is known for. Some of the smaller chicken pieces were in the dry side. We came for happy hour after a long work day and it was truly a great place to unwind. We sat outside and loved the patio dining, but we've also eaten inside before and enjoyed that just as much. Thanks to BFF hosting her birthday here for the past 2 years in a row, I have been back in the area. On a personal note, this is not someplace I would go out of my way for on my own. I'm not saying that it wasn't a good experience. On the contrary, it was. Hence the 5 stars from my first review and this update. I am blessed to live in an area where there is an abundance of excellent dining options compacted in a small radius and I do not need to travel far to get a great meal. The Desert Ridge area is very much out of the way for me and there is nothing to bring me there except for this occasion. I want to touch on the creme brulee cheesecake for this visit. It was absolutely delicious but they missed an opportunity to add a caramelized sugar top; an essential trait of a creme brulee. This is more of a caramel cheesecake than anything. I still recommend it if you are craving for something sweet. BFF has purposefully chosen this place year after year due to it's diverse menu being able to accommodate different dietary preferences, stellar service, and great atmosphere. This is a great place for a date night, family night out, or relaxing to their happy hour after a long day. read more

Downgrade ): I planned to have dinner, but my pre-dinner cocktail experience ran me off. I ordered a Tequila Old Fashioned which I have had other places(and made at home) and liked. This one though was sickly sweet - so much so that I figured something was wrong. I asked the bartender to add some tequila to it to balance it out. He did and it was still too sweet. The bartender then told me that the cocktail is supposed to be sweet. There is no way that anyone would intentionally design this cocktail to be so unbalanced. Either it is a poorly designed cocktail or there was an execution error. Bottom line is that the "bartender" vibe was negative at the bar so I paid for the cocktail and the "extra" tequila and left. There are too many fun places with great drinks to put up with a negative attitude. read more

My friends and I met for a birthday HH and we indulged in drinks - I got the Salty Coyote which is wish was a tad bit stronger, the caprese cocktail, meatballs and a crème brûlée cheesecake! The meatballs were melt in your mouth good, and although I'm not normally a cheesecake type of girlie - this one was good! Definitely worth checking out Cook & Craft! read more

This spot was really great for a work dinner! They were organized and the service was great. This is located in high street and there's plenty of parking around. The spot is open, clean and modern with both indoor and patio seating. We had a few appetizers and my favorite were the wagyu sliders and cauliflower wings. Super flavorful. For dinner I had the wedge Cesar with salmon and the salmon was not dry and plenty of flavor. It was really a great salad. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

Overall, this was a pretty mid dinner experience. Let's break it down: Our food was just okay. We ordered the brussels sprouts as our appetizer and they were the star of the show, however they are very sweet so we would've enjoyed sharing them with a group of 4 instead of a group of 2. The filet mignon was pretty unevenly cooked. The bottom of it was fully charred so I had that burnt taste in my mouth for most of the meal. The airline chicken took a while, and it was fine. It was kind of dry with a good glaze but a little weak. The vegetables were plain. The service was friendly enough, however the restaurant itself was very loud. I was on the fence between 2 and 3 stars, but with how expensive the meal was, I opted for 2. We didn't get any drinks, but it seems like it could be a good spot for happy hour rather than a full dinner. read more

All the food appeared to be processed, nothing seemed authentically made, the meatloaf was cold and subpar, the deviled eggs were meh, gnocchi was blah. The bathroom floor was sticky, toilet was nasty and the trash was half full. Clearly not cleaned from the day before. The floor in the dining area had lots of crumbs, dried up French fries under the tables and crumbs on the tables. Do better people. You know when a place says they are dog friendly, Cook & Craft is dog obsessed. Conveniently located next to the House Of Comedy, C&C has a spacious inside, large seating arrangements and a really nice comfortable patio outside. But that's not makes this place great, it's the food, drink selection and amazing staff. We were out walking around with Dfor Dog late one Friday night, trying to find a place that was dog friendly that would allow us to eat on their patio but we didn't expect to find a place that rolled out the red carpet for Dfor, one by one throughout the evening staff members came and said hello and love on Dfor. Staff and service was fa fantastic. when they found out little Dfor cannot walk and barely eats, they made her a little burger to chomp down on while we ate! This place is awesome. Ok for the nonDog folks. Food selection was great and they have a selection of dishes that can be fully customized like Craft Burgers and even a very delicious flash fried Brussel dish with bacon, onion, garlic and pomegranate seeds. Rest of the menu looked great with some unique choices including Short Ribs, Unique Philly, Filet Mignon, Acorn Squash, the menu is worth a second and third look at. Included in the name is the Craft which is displayed in the food and the draft selection, Milk Stouts, Dragon Milk Stouts, cider, wheats, IPAs as well as a large bottled selection. Dfor Dog has definitely found a new favorite place to hang and we hope she takes us back soon. read more

The hubs and I were split on this spot. He had an amazing burger. I got their fancy meatloaf and thought it was awful. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes were both dry and the glaze was very heavily salted. Very nice atmosphere and wonderful service. Will try again to see if the meatloaf was an anomaly. read more

We have been to the other location many times (see my review) and were excited that another location opened closer to where we live. Unfortunately, we didn't have the best experience. I'll start with the good: we ordered the cauliflower wings to start and they were delicious, just as good as the other location. The so-so: the cocktails were tasty but weak. My gnocchi was just okay. The texture wasn't great. I've had much better. The bad: my husband's burger was dry and overcooked. He was waiting for the server to come back and check on us and he was going to request mayo or ketchup, something to make it less dry, but he didn't return for 20 minutes and his burger was cold. The server gave us a half hearted apology, said they got really busy, offered to re-cook it but my husband was done and didn't feel like staying any longer. He comped us for the burger but no manager came and talked to us or anything. We went through the drive thru at Habit on the way home and got him the hot and juicy burger he was craving. We went for happy hour and ordered the wagyu sliders, wings, and caprese cocktail. I will say the sliders and wings were pretty good. The caprese cocktail has potential, with mozzarella, tomatoes, and beets, but unfortunately the beets tasted old and were not very sweet. For dinner we got the Mac and cheese with chicken and cranberry chicken club sandwich. The Mac and cheese was decent, the sandwich not too exciting and if I had known it wouldn't be that great I would have tried something else. So we thought a couple of the appetizers on the HH menu were good but it's not enough to convince us to back to this restaurant. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. To start off the staff is so welcoming. A big shout out Gigi! She always takes care of us and we appreciate when she continues to go the extre mile. We are very picky eaters and are ALWAYS asking for subsitutions to our food and Gigi says 'yes, no problem' nearly every time. She is great! We love the brussels sprouts and the burgers. They have a great happy hour! Besides Gigi, we frequent Cook & Craft because they LOVEEEEEEE dogs! The patio dining is dog friendly.
