Fun experience! I bought this for my husband it would be best if it was based on number of laps vs minutes. The first lap he said since he had never been in an Indycar he was getting a feel for it & I think in the end it was only 2 laps he was able to do in 5 mins. Upon arrival they have you put on a race suit , then go watch a safety video, then go onto the track, listen to another instruction, then try on helmet & get in car & drive. We were able to watch him close to the pit area & also able to go up to the stands & get a 360 view. Looks like on their site they do some sales from time to time. You can also buy a video (it shows the driver & the car view & also purchase more laps. You can choose a race car or an Indy car style. They say to arrive 30-45 mins early & the overall experience can take up to 3.5-4 hours. Appt was at 1pm & he was done by 2:40pm read more

Most Exciting Experience of My Life!!! 172 MPH - me driving the IndyCar!!! So... I am 100% an adrenaline junky. I've gone sky diving several times, jumped off the Stratosphere Tower, white water rafting, driven a trophy truck (rally), monster truck, helicopters with no doors, climbed 150' cliffs, repelling, jet skis, water skiing, wake boarding, snow board all black diamonds, skiing, snowmobiles, skateboarding, BMX, downhill bikes, roller blading, jumped off of ~40' bridges and cliffs into water, etc. I also have a ~10,000 watt electric bike that can do 70mph. This is not me trying to brag, just saying that I seek out experiences that pump me full of adrenaline! And I can say that, without a doubt, THIS racing experience was the most exciting/fun thing I've ever done!!! It's now 3 days later and I'm just still on a high from this experience. I mean I've been thinking about it so much that literally (seriously, not joking), I DREAMED ABOUT IT! I've been non-stop smiling for 3 days straight just thinking about it. I did the driving practice where they let you DRIVE an IndyCar for ~5 minutes. I had actually done the ride-along first in a different location a couple weeks back so I had a good idea of what these cars can do and the line to follow. Because of that, I really pushed this car to it's limits and because I was making good lines, the spotter bumped my RPM's up a notch and by driving JUST under the limiter (where it chokes out), I was able to hit 172MPH!!! My brother, 2 sisters and sisters boyfriend did the ride along experience in the 2-seater IndyCar and they also had the times of their lives! A couple of them got the videos and it's awesome to see how much they're smiling the entire time :) We're all going to go back - some for another ride-along and others to drive. Bottom line: everyone I was there with had a blast and I had one of the most exciting experience of my life. I am absolutely doing this again... but next time, I'm going "all out" and getting the Checkered Flag experience - not the top-tier experience but it's up there. read more

Totally awesome, great time! I did 153.1 mph and passed 3 cars going around MIS in an Indy car. The indy cars are faster than the stock cars. The rev limiter is a bit annoying, because there is no tachometer. You want to keep the rpm just below the limiter. The people running this operation are great, except the girls at the check out/souvineer booth. Overall, it was a great experience. Keep the throttle about 2/3 to stay off the limiter which slows you down. If you get the 8 lap ride, they plug in the 5000 rpm 150mph limiter. If you get the deluxe 16 lap ride, they have a higher limiter which allows 170 mph. This was not clearly identified on the website. Pedal to the metal! Corner speeds are incredible! read more

The website was confusing to the point where my dad ended up paying for 2 ride along experiences for my daughter's birthday gift. Once the error was detected he inquired as to how to fix the issue. There was assurance the issue had been fixed but was still billed for the 2. In the end there is "no fix". He was told repeatedly, the refund policy dictates 30-day cancellation. Well, when one reserves 14 days in advance that's impossible. Additionally, the still photo as part of the package is a crap. She's wearing the helmet in the car and there's nothing to recognize it's her! The video is overpriced and simply not worth it. Save your money. The experience itself was exciting. But in the end we've paid 2x for a single experience and have received a whole lot of "tough - too bad" from the customer no-service. Be careful when you reserve. I wish I could give a 0 star to this mockery. Where do I even start. I was given tickets to this event for Christmas last year in 2020. We scheduled our race to be in January 2021 at 8am, the first class of the day. We arrived as instructed 45 minutes early so they could brief us and provide more instructions. Well it turns out they don't race on days when it had just rained, we knew that and called the day before but THEY INSISTED we still make the drive down. After being told this in person they gave us the option to DRIVE OUR OWN personal vehicle on the track to help "dry off the track" but we had to stay in a follow the leader. We figured why not help out if it meant we'd be able to enjoy the experience. Well 2 hours later of driving, over 135miles worth of gas used up we are told our class is canceled and they are taking the 11am class now and we can reschedule for another date. I asked the manager if I could get reimbursed with some gas that I used up because I didn't expect to drive around a track for 2 hours non stop, the manager said no. EXCUSE ME??? I drove around on your track for 2 hours, wasted my time and now you expect me to basically work for free??? Wow... we called the customer service number and raised hell because of how unprofessional and unorganized this company is... they upgraded our 5 minute drive time to 8minutes, not bad I guess??? Fast forward to the next time we rescheduled, which was May 15 2021. We were the 2nd class of the day now which was scheduled at 9am. We went through all the same Bs info as last time, showed up early, told us to sit around for 45 minutes, went through the instructional class, and were ready to go by 9:30am. Well the same manager who was an A$$ last time informed us they were running 30 minutes behind. That's fine, we figured maybe wait another 30-40 minutes... Well it turned out to be 2 hours of standing in line, unorganized individuals who can't figure out who's in what class even though it clearly states it on their lanyard, and overall ignorance from every single person there. I was finally able to drive my race care at 12pm. Here's the kicker, it wasn't an 8 minute drive time. I had my Fiancé time me from the minute I crossed my first checkered flag to when they pulled me in. I had her time me then because you spend 90% of the lap driving in the apron area and they don't even let you up. I went around 5 times and that was it, according to her time it was 5 minutes.... we noticed that every single person who was doing the Indy racing experience only did 5 laps regardless of their time. We believe since the company was so far behind they were trying to catch up by cutting people of their time THAT THEY PAID FOR. At the end they give you a certificate saying your speed and informing you that "you drove a real race car." The top speed it said I went was 140.51 MPH but The speedometer I had in my pocket on my phone said I didn't go over 88mph... I've done over 120mph in my personal vehicle and motorcycle and I know for a fact I didn't get over 100mph in this race car. I will NEVER be coming back to this joke of a company. I highly advise anyone who's looking for a genuine racing experience to not waste your hard earned money on this scam of a business model. I was given the Mario Andretti Racing Experience as a gift and was very excited to check it out. I viewed it as a "Once in a lifetime" opportunity to do something that many people have never done. Before my race day, I received numerous emails asking me to buy the video and photos before you get to the track and receive a discount. I figured great. It is a "Once in a lifetime" experience so why not buy the video to remember it! The entire staff at the event were very friendly and polite. They were extremely well versed and ran like a well oiled machine. Since most people have not driven an Indy car before they have no idea what to do or expect. You are trained during a 45 minute session that clearly guides you through exactly what you are going to do so your nerves are put at ease. Every step of the way they make sure you are well taken care of. As an example as I was getting in the race car it was a tight fit. One of the men in the pit crew asked how I was doing, do I have question, am I nervous. He was just making sure that everything was 100% ok. The racing experience was way too short. I got the 5 minute experience and as many have said in their reviews it is only about 3 laps. The first lap you go slow the entire way around the track. The second lap they tell you to increase it a little. Then the third lap they say you can go a little faster. Then your done. They never tall me "Last Lap" or alerted me that it was going to be over on this lap in anyway. At the end of the day I would have done a few more minutes to really open it up. It was fun. I'd give it a zero if I could! I went through Groupon which allows cancellation. I was clicking through looking for schedules & rates and was somehow directed to the Mario Andretti Racing Experience. While looking for rates & dates it somehow booked and charged me! This was a Wed. a.m. and the booking was for late Sunday Afternoon. I immediately called them & left a message and also emailed for the next 2 days. Finally Friday afternoon I get a reply stating no cancellations. When I stated my case they said that its too close to the event and they would lose a spot (yeah right). I told them I tried contacting them days ago. Still nothing. I pleaded my case to no avail and stated that if they would not do the right thing that I'd go online and let the public know. Still they don't care. The reason I wanted to cancel was a friend of mine called me back (I left a message about maybe doing this) and said that he did this and its a ripoff. He said they have a car in front of you slowing you down so don't expect to go fast. Good for some maybe but not me. 5 Stars I gave this experience to both my two sons turning 40. I bought the Andretti Ride Along for both to get an idea of what it is like in an Indy Race Car. Then they got the Rookie Experience driving by themselves. I add the Better Track Deal, dual video 1 camera facing driver and 1 camera recording as they race around the track. They also got a double autographed plaque, an autographed pic of Mario Andretti and a picture of them on their plaque. They relied a Certificate for completing each event, a logo Hat and t-shirt. For an extra few dollars I got a better t-shirt and hat. My two boys loved it. They were among the first to arrive at 10:30am and the last to leave at 5:00pm. They wanted to die the Rookie Experience again. It turned out to be a great birthday present for the two of them. They enjoyed every minute and would do it again. And I can't say enough about the crew and all those working there. They made the experience what it was, especially Jennie. I called their customer service department and asked the woman if I could UPGRADE and she told me to go order the package I wanted and call on Monday to cancel the first order. So I did. Now they insist on charging me for both packages. I've appealed, to no avail. This may or may not change your desire to buy this package. Just beware. Well, I finally have it off my bucket list. Went today for my Mario Andretti racing experience at the Kentucky Speedway. It was a warm sunny 90 degree day and my adrenaline was high. Not sure why all the bad reviews but I thought it was awesome. The staff was great and the experience even better. I have been going to the Indianapolis 500 for over 22 years and my dream has always been to drive one of those bad boys... Don't get me wrong, I'd love to hit speeds of 230 mph but realistically the normal person isn't going to do that with this experience. This is a once of a lifetime opportunity to come close. Close meaning- trained by a professional, put in a suit, put in a race car and have fun. My recommendation is the 8 minute or longer. By the time you get comfortable with the car you have to come in. For $300 bucks it was worth every penny but wish it was longer. So for those that think or wish you can go over 200 mph this is not for you. For those of you that want the experience of driving a race car and taking it all in for $300 this is for you. For me, this was 1 of 9 meaning, I'm hooked and plan to visit the other 8 tracks.. Save your money, or go to Rusty Wallace for Nascar instead. This experience is too limited and too slow. It's a "step up" program so you'll have to go through more experiences and spend a lot of money. 8 minutes gets you 3 or 4 laps and you are guided slowly up to speed. By then it's over! I was so looking forward to driving the Indy car but was extremely disappointed with this experience. Had a much better time in the Rusty Wallace nascar with a much longer and faster ride for a similar price. The experiences do not compare. Rusty is the way to go. Also, felt the 8 minutes was actually more like 5. A real shame! Find another experience that is not so weak! read more

We purchased an Indy experience in Fort Worth, TX through Great American Days. The ad states: 3 hour driving experience reaching speeds of up to 145mph. When I called to reserve I was told that the actual driving time is 8 minutes. Strike #1. We decided to do it anyway. We arrived at 9:30 as instructed. After instruction and suiting up we headed to the track for more instruction. My son's name was called and he got in line to put on his helmet. He and the other Indy drivers stood there for 3 hours. After 2 hours we started asking questions. One employee said the wait was due to having to match the guy's height to the car, and there were only 3 or 4 Indy cars. Not true. They had cushions to put behind their backs to accommodate for different heights. One of the guys in line said that because they had chosen a video of the experience they had to wait for the one car that had video. That car broke down shortly into the beginning of the day. They finally got wise and put the camera into another car. We were never given an explanation by the staff about the wait. My son said the really short drive was fun, but not worth the wait. We would never recommend this to anyone. read more

The Good: This is a unique experience and opportunity to drive a real race car on a real race track at fast speeds. These cars have a governor or chip that allows them only 5,000 RPM which they say equates to about 150 mph. Most haven't ever experienced that kind of speed, so that is very unique. This drive is based on time not laps. They waste one lap in the beginning and at one at the end making you drive slowly around the apron. It should be a lap based experience, not timed. The Bad: Oh boy. #1 If you are going to purchase any packages offered, wait for a holiday special or other sale time. This can affect the prices you pay by up to 50% off regular prices on everything from the driving experience cost to the photos, videos, etc. My 8 minute drive was $499, but later saw it on sale for $299. If your goal is to buy the driving experience, only buy the 5 minute drive. The 8 minute drive normally costs $200 more when you buy online, but if you wait to upgrade the 5 minute to the 8 minute at the track, which they push repeatedly, it is only $85 more. #2 They are obviously concerned about safety and should be. The way they address this cheapens and actually ruined the experience. First you have to attend a drivers meeting where it is repeatedly explained among other things, how to enter and exit the corners, by splitting two white dots on the track. After having this explained to you about 20 times, you learn after this outdated and boring video, that the video was shot at Charlotte Speedway and Fontana doesn't actually have any white dots. Instead, they then drill into you 20 times that you need to stay 5 feet off the white line separating the track from the apron the whole time. #3 Part of the "experience" is you get to wear a real live fire suit. Problem is, these suits are worthless and I believe truly only provided so you can think you look and feel like a real driver. They are ripped up, dirty and I didn't see an operating Velcro closure on any of them that closes the suit from your waist to your neck, which would be necessary for an effective fire suit. Besides, the people who are just doing a ride along, don't wear a fire suit. If they are truly worried about safety and consider a fire suit necessary, it wouldn't matter if you are driving or a passenger, you would need a real fire suit. You should be given the option to not wear the suit because on a 100 degree day, they are not only disgusting and ineffective, but super hot. #4 The safety overboard continues on the track. They use electrical tape to tape cheap earbuds into your ears which they plug into the 2-way radio so you can hear and communicate with your "crew chief" during the drive. The problem I noticed is when I got the car up to a certain speed-over 4,000 RPMs, it is so loud I couldn't hear what the guy was saying and had to slow down so I could hear. It is important to be able to hear this guy because there are other cars on the track, some going much faster for the ride-along people. You need to keep to the bottom of the track when they are overtaking you and it is important to know where they are, because there is no way to see them coming up on you. So I stay at my 5 feet above the white line and I hear the guy yelling at me to get up to the middle of the track on the straight away. They never said we would ride in the middle of the track, only 5 feet off the line. When he finally let me get up to top speed, he would be yelling in my ear again, which I couldn't hear what he was saying because of the noise, so I would have to slow down, only to hear him saying, good job-keep your line...Really? I get up to speed again and he is yelling again, so slow down to hear important info that another car is overtaking me and to stay low. So the whole ride went like this, get up to speed and have to slow down to hear what the guy is saying whether it is important or not. I should have done the 5 minute drive instead of 8 minute because by the time I had been out there 5 minutes I had had it with this guy yelling in my ear, never able to get up to speed and hold it, because I had to slow down to hear him. I was ready to say screw it and just go back in. This is the only "driving experience" I have done, so I would think there are better ones out there. I would rather pay twice as much to have a personalized experience with decent equipment instead of being just one out of herd of 30 drivers they are trying to run thru this thing as fast as possible. This is a lot of money and time to spend for a few short minutes on a track. I might try it again someday with another company, but don't waste your money with these guys. I received a Ride A Long package as a Christmas 2019 gift. My ride was June 20, 2020 at Kentucky Speedway on a 98 degree day and in the middle of the COVID crisis. There was a shaded area but no fans were provided so the air was hot and stagnant. There were public water jugs that all were touching, along with plastic cups that all were touching. No sanitation witnessed. Masks were being carried but not worn by spectators and workers. Helmets and cars were not wiped down or sanitized. There was a great deal of miscommunication among the workers in which I was directed to wrong waiting lines, given wrong identification wristlets, and almost shorted 4 laps paid for in advance. I paid for 6 laps and they attempted to stop my ride at 2. Again, there was complete lack of communication among the staff. We had to remind them again of our package and had to keep showing them our paperwork, which I highly recommend taking! I am glad I did had an Indy car experience but I would recommend doing the experience with another organization / provider. I did not leave impressed by this corporation. read more

Groups of drivers were directed to a different line and all went ahead of us with appointments and a party of 12 were able to join the line along with them just adding to our wait time. I was the recipient of the Indy Experience for my 60th birthday from Christine S., her brothers and my honey. The review from Dave A. says it all. Hands down the coolest thing I've ever done where I was in full control of the thrill level. Now after overcoming the tension of cramming enough knowledge into a one-hour class session for - operating, procedure and safety aspects - I want to go back again someday so I can really concentrate on the driving aspect and fully get into the excitement. All laps at 150mph+ would be very invigorating! Five minutes wouldn't have been near enough. Eight minutes was definitely too short, but 10 -15 minutes straight would have been just right for me. If they offer 3 additional minutes to your 5 minute package - take them up on the offer. Just like they tell you -it will be the best $85 you ever spend. Like my daughter said - do your homework ahead of time and then enjoy the experience for what it is. The entire staff and crew are top-notch professionals. The safety briefing, the one-on-one handling by the pit crew and the personal trainer on my radio throughout the driving put just enough of that fear/confidence level into me that I was able to reach top speed and do it in a safe and sane manner. As Christine S. said it was indeed awesome. Bitch'n to be exact! I have 45 years of driving experience, spent an entire career working with drivers in a major transportation company and have been a driver instructor and have never experienced anything quite like this. RIDE ALONG vs DRIVE YOURSELF A synopsis of 4 separate individuals and our experience on the 1 mile track that is PIR If you have to do this experience, consider the "Ride Along" as apposed to driving the car yourself... that is if you don't want to be completely disappointed and I mean completely... At least with the "Ride Along" you get to hit significantly higher speeds than if you drive yourself. Why you ask, here's why, Ride along: Show up, sign in, get a helmet and you're off... the sound, the feel the adrenaline you expected is all there. Guaranteed! No nonsense, no cheesy "drivers meeting" no sales pitch. Hit the track for 5 minutes, which is way better than anything at Disney, and the rest of the day is yours! 5 Minute You Drive: Arrive in the morning, get in line, fill out forms, get your racing suit & pager then head into the "Drivers Meeting" Watch a video, be amused by the MC get pressured to buy video's, photo's, $22.00 T-shirts and of course to extend your racing experience far beyond the cheap intro you paid for months ago. During the "Drivers Meeting" you will be asked several questions like "Who likes to pass" and of course everyone raises their hand. This creates the assumption that 1/2 dozen or more cars will be out on the track, during your experience, providing the opportunity to pass and race like a true Indy driver. Well its not that plain and simple! In fact, its down right impossible! There is no way for you to pass anything or anyone in the measly 5 minute session you just paid $$$ for... Sorry! Here's why... In the 5 minute drive, they require you to drive at a snails pace for the first lap. So slow in fact that you just wasted 2 minutes of your 5. The second lap provides you with the opportunity to kick it up to 60- 70 miles an hour... maybe. However, the talking head within your helmet's headset continues to stress caution! Finally its lap three and you're ready to go! Unfortunately its also been a total of 5 minutes, so hurry up and slow down cause you're coming into the pits and your "experience" is over. Honestly, I'm certain you'll drive faster to the track than you will on the track... Do not waste your money on the 5 minute deal, IT SIMPLY IS NOT WORTH IT 8 Minute You Drive: Take my comments from above and extend it 3 more minutes, which sounds amazing! Get past all that intro Bull crap and now "I'm ready to open this baby up". I have proven my driving skills and ready to release the inner Mario I always new existed within me... I'm going to pass everyone... twice! then be recognized by all the scouts in the stands as a force to be reckoned with ........ Meh! not really. 1). They won't let you get on the gas in the turns, mandatory coasting only. 2). Your Indy car is governed to such an extent that by the time you get any speed, the engine begins to sputter, cough and basically shut down, this basically equates to peddling too hard on your big wheel as a kid... it just spins. no additional power. 3). Not once while on the track was there another driver to pass not for any of us. 4). Do the math... On a 1 mile course like PIR, even though I'm getting an extra 3 minutes, I'm going to basically get another 1.5 trips around the track before its time to reduce speed and coast into the pits. The truth of it is.... there's more excitement and anticipation heading to the track, suiting up like a true race car driver than the actual experience itself. 8 Minute You Drive + another 8 minutes Should you decide that you must... and that you can afford another $200.00 for an additional 8 minutes, then and only then can you truly appreciate what the "Mario Andretti Experience" was meant to be, Plus, you get the added bonus of having the Governor cranked up from 4500 rpm to 5500 rpm, which translates to another 5-7 miles per hour (this comes directly from one of the top staff members on track) So in summation, you can experience the program as its truly meant to be for $97.00 as a "Ride Along" or pay $675.00 to drive it as fast as you can (understanding its governed at 5500 rpm) for a similar experience. Ya but how fast do you really go? On a 1 mile track, provided you paid the $675.00+, and you're really good, expect 140 miles an hour for a few seconds.... larger tracks expect 160+ Also keep in mind that the 3 hours they mention.... 2+ hours is simply waiting around for your turn... 45 minutes is the "Drivers Meeting" and 8 minutes is for the "Experience" BTW, Forget bringing your Go Pro, they want you to pay $79.00 to use their's. And who the heck came up with 8 minutes anyway. How about "True Laps" This program could gain serious legs with more seat time, more speed and less nonsense. Make the experience a TRUE experience!!! I just got done today driving at AAA speedway. Lucky to be in first group and I did the three 8 min sessions. I have to agree the spotter is hard to hear. I am 60 years old and ride dirt bikes and I would say I feel way more speed riding across the open desert at 50 mph than the 164.54 mph I did on the track. We then booked flight (note: non-refundable) and a hotel with miles (note: non-refundable). A month later Racing Experience calls and says they cancelled racing at that track for that weekend we chose with no explanation as to why. Ok, picked up the 5 minute drive package on Living Social for $199. The great thing about this is it gives you like 2 years to use the voucher. Considering this is usually in town once or twice a year and is staged on a weekday, it helps with scheduling to get the morning off work. I arrived late and missed the start of my 8 am driver's meeting/safety class. They didn't hassle me, they simply bumped me into the next class at 10 am. Considering it rained the day before and was cold, I was kind of glad I would have a little more time for the track and tires to warm up before I got behind the wheel. The safety meeting was good, just went over the basics, how to get on and off the track and where to stay when driving on the track. During your run, you'll have a guy on the radio guiding you through every step along the way, so you don't have to remember every detail or your screwed! I've done pretty much all of the different racing experiences: NASCAR, Allen Berg Indy Cars, Boss 302 follow along etc., I think this was the best run school. They didn't try to scare you about crashing their car and owing them $50,000 so you had better buy the $89 insurance option or else! In addition, the cars they used felt new and really tight, not like abused low maintained cars i've used in other driving programs. The only upsell they do is the 5 minute to 8 minute upgrade. Basically, you get launched and your 5 minutes begins. It takes about 2/3 of the track to go from the pit merge lane onto the track, then you cruise 60-70 MPH around the first full lap to allow you to acclimate to the car/track. Then you do a third lap at increasing speed. If you have the 5 minute lap deal, then the fourth lap, they start to have you slow down so you can get off the track and back to the pits. If you do the 8 minute deal, then you don't get off the track just when it's starting to get fun, you keep going and get what seemed like maybe an extra lap. So for $85, you can upgrade to the 8 min deal. Based on the above, might as well pay to play and do what I came here to do, drive fast, so I bought the upgraded time. The crew buckles you into the car, your radio crew chief establishes contact and then an ATV gives you a aircraft carrier style launch so you can clutch start the car and off you go. The drive itself was "FUN". However, it only felt like I got to go 4-5 laps. I'm not sure if they are actually timing the laps, but it seems like you get one full speed lap and then your done. Sure didn't seem like 8 minutes of driving to me, so they must charge you 6 minutes for pit time. As far as the drive, they have everything well sorted out. The cars are 600 HP 2300 lb. Indy cars. They only have one gear, so no shifting required. The downside: They have a 5000 RPM limiter nanny which caps them out at 150 MPH. Believe it or not, you'll hit the limiter and then the car starts to sputter and you'll need to adjust to maintain the 4900 RPMs. The second downside is the limiter is usually hit when they finally let you open the car up on your speed pass. So just when you start to have fun, you hit the rev limiter and you spend the rest of the lap trying to hit the sweet spot just below the 5000 RPM mark so you can keep having fun. But then they tell you your drive is over and to head into the lane to head back to the pits. This just has you wanting more! They really need a 10 minute option so you can get an extra lap or two at the top speed. A bump in the nanny to 170 MPH would be nice as well! Bottom line, I really liked the driving experience and want to do it again. I would recommend this one over any of the other driving experiences available. However, wait for a groupon to buy and get the 8 minute drive if available or if not available, figure in the $85 extra cost to bump the time from 5 minutes to 8 minutes when you get to the track. read more

My son (age 37) and I (age 62) received vouchers for Christmas 2015. We are in New England, and they only come to Loudon NH (NH Motor Speedway) ONCE each year. The next closest track is 7 hours away. We were scheduled to participate in June 2016, but that got cancelled due to rain. There are NO refunds, we had to wait another 13 months, and were rescheduled for July 2017. Let me start by stating that it was great fun spending time with my son doing something together, and my grandkids got to watch as well. The experience was priceless, and I give it 5-stars from a father-son bonding perspective. That said, I need to review & rate this company and their "product" from a business perspective. I want potential customers to understand what they can expect to experience. The GOOD: I'm an avid motorsports fan. I've done 3 or 4 different "racing experiences", and they have all been a "blast". I giggle like a little schoolgirl every time I slide into one of these race cars. They are even more fun if your family can participate with you (even if they are just spectators). It's a very safe way to experience something that very few people will experience in their lifetime. I've done other racing experiences, but this was my first open-wheel experience (so I got to check this off my bucket list). The BAD: Compared to other "racing experiences" that I've done, this one is easily the most expensive per "track-minute". The basic "Practice" package is only 5 minutes from the time they start pushing your car, until you coast back and stop in the pits. Most or your "experience" seems to be all about WAITING. You wait in line to check-in (even though I was pre-checked online), you wait in line again for your fire suit (more about that under "UGLY"), and you wait for your "restaurant table buzzer" to alert you it's your turn (which, for me was nearly an hour). You also sit through a ~40 minute "driver's meeting" that includes an extremely repetitive video. I understand the importance of safety, but the video is based on Charlotte Motor Speedway, not my track (NHMS in Loudon NH). I have to question the "safety value" of a video that contains misinformation. The video repeatedly told us to "split the two white dots" when entering and exiting the turns - later we are told "there are no white dots at this track". The video instructed us to remain on the gas pedal when entering the "high banks" of this track - Loudon is a FLAT "paperclip", and we were later instructed to completely lift off the gas through the turns. They then used a large (3' x 5') chart of the track to show us the driving line - once again this was based on Charlotte Motor Speedway which is totally unlike NHMS. Once on the track, my driving experience was impacted multiple times waiting for another car or moving down the track to let the "ride along" car pass me on the outside. The UGLY: The real UGLY moment came when we picked up our "fire suits". I have to assume these are more for show than function. You can expect they'll have two sizes (too big and too small). But don't worry, because most of the suits are worn, torn, ragged, and the velcro closures are completely shot. I complained that the velcro wouldn't hold my suit closed and I was told "don't worry about it, you don't need it closed, and you'll want it open because it's hot in the car". What's the point in issuing fire suits that don't fit or stay closed ???? In summary, I'm glad I was able to do this with my son, and it was an enjoyable time together, but I would not use this company again. I got a lot more track time with the "Kenny Wallace Dirt Track Experience" and some of the other racing experiences I've use in the past. read more

My wife got me the living social deal for $199 . I immediately upgraded for the extra $85 once I got there . It was a nice hot day and the whole experience was awesome . I will gladly do it again . Yes the drivers meeting was long and alot of it was talked about again by the crew chief , but safety is their concern . Sure they try and upgrade you more but that too is understandable . Overall the experience was great , staff was very friendly and why not spend that extra money................not everyone can say they have driven a Nascar on a real track . Absolute rip off. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS EXPERIENCE! You honestly get 3 maybe 4 full laps but you only get 1 at top speed. They start your time as soon as you get rolling in the pit and after 3 laps had me on the apron coasting back to the pit telling me "good job." I spent more time coasting from the apron back to the pit then I did on the track under speed. DO NOT WASTE THE MONEY. Wasn't expecting too much. Read the reviews here before going. I had an amazing time driving. By the end of 1st lap was allowed to go up on rpm's. Took it to max rest of the time. Came off gas slightly in corners (probably could have kept max rpm's but felt a little safer backing off just a bit). Now i can really appreciate what the pros go through. I was drained after just the 10 minutes or so. Highly recommend!! read more

Signed up for two 8min. stents Oct. 11th, 2015. Weather perfect with no clouds or wind, but extremely HOT! It was 102 degrees in Fontana, meaning 123 degrees on the track. Some learning from the experience: 1.) Buy and wear your own "molded" type fitting ear buds, as the ones they give out are too basic and do not block the intense noise level. And buy your own cotton head sock or balaclava, as they only give you a head napkin and their helmets are used (sweaty). You can find both on E-bay. 2.) Be aware your lap time starts the moment you begin to roll out of pit lane so you want to be very efficient with your driving time. 3.) Leave the 5min. package alone and do at least one 8min., as the first couple of laps are really just reconnaissance laps, leaving the 5min. a teaser. 4.) Listen carefully and do just as they instruct, no more and no less, to demonstrate your control and your discipline so your crew chief/spotter will have confidence to turn you loose after just a lap and a half or two. 5.) No gauges in car so once up to speed if it starts to sputter this means you have hit the rev limiter breaching 5000RPM, so you need to lift ever so slightly off the throttle back into the "sweet spot" under 5000PRM. Its by feel. 6.) If you can afford it do at least 3 or more 8min. stents, so as long as you demonstrate control and discipline by the third stent/drive the crew chief will begin to dial up the rev limiter.
