If you're looking for a fun activity to do with a group of friends, regardless of your skill level, World of Racing is a great option. There's something strangely therapeutic about banging out lap after lap on your favorite track, drowning out the outside world with the sounds of a screaming F1 engine. The hydraulic suspension and force feedback of the wheel really help to create an immersive experience, and the headset communication makes racing your friends all the more fun. The guys who work there are really very helpful in setting up the session exactly the way you like. The good: sim racing is a lot of fun and my friends and I have had a great time each time we've gone. The staff was friendly helping us get set up and we're happy to answer questions. The bad: they gave us a coupon for 30% off for our visit. We came back and were told "the coupon doesn't apply if you make a reservation in advance". We came back again today with no reservation and they "said we couldn't use the coupon for a 2 hour session". Both time it cost my party an extra $100 based one rules that weren't written on the coupon or told to us at any time. It's a little frustrating that they mislead us twice and we're not interested in honoring the coupon. Also they are a little bit smug on the race track and car selection. So I've been wanting to try this locally where I live, but never got around to it. I was visiting socal for an 80 degree Thanksgiving and this popped up on my FB feed. I had some free time and multiple friends wanted to meet up, so I figured why not make this a day? We opted to go for the novice simulation non race mode as many of my friend's teen kids were with us. Turns out this is pretty serious. The kids had to get the force feedback turned down because of how hard it was to drive. It was hilarious on the first turn because it's nothing like driving a car. It takes at least a lap of trying to get used to it. At $40 to just drive around for about an hour, I would say it's a pretty good deal. I don't understand why it's more expensive to actually do a race day, but I digress. This is not for children nor for goofy kids that can't take anything seriously. There's Dave and Busters for that. But if your kid is serious about winning and is competitive, I would say it's a good stepping stone into actual racing. It's also great for adults. Customer service was great, lounge was comfortable for the wives not participating, and since it's at the District, they can also F off and just walk around or something while the boys have fun. Came here for as an anniversary gift & for the first time it wasn't bad. The girl who checked us in was really nice but nothing really stands out as far as staff. Their crash course on how to operate the car was literally a crash course. The guy went through it so fast & it was hard to hear him but it's self explanatory; gas, break, wheel. We did two races & in between grabbed a drink at the bar. We waited there for a long time for someone to help us but overall I would come again. It's a fun experience. read more

Just getting my Yelp career started. This place was more than I expected. I honestly thought it was an arcade. The Staff! I spoke with 2 guys when I came in. Elmer,and Isaac. Really nice guys. There was another I spoke with when I was leaving. We talked for a bit about tracking cars. He had some experience. I will say this staff is a very different staff I am used to seeing in stores. It felt more like they wanted to be friends. I would not say criticism, because I do not know for sure. There was a guy that was in my area that was pacing back and forth. He was on his phone while he was. I figured he was a guest.I am not sure,and I do not want to just say that without knowing. It was just confusing as he was around me and my friend when we were driving. I kept thinking he was going to come up to us.He did not,and it got distracting. Maybe my fault. The Machines! The car racing was also not what I expected. I was made aware it would be different in some ways,but I would understand it after some practice. I can say that was accurate. These machines are really cool. I only did an hour with my friend. I wish I lived near by ! I would love to do this more often. Price! I thought it was fair. I went and I had a good time. But my biggest complain is one of the workers right when the game started coming and basically bugging me the first 5 minutes while I was on the mic with my two friends. She first went and adjusted the ffp for me, touching the pad and then kept telling me to go even though my other friends weren't ready and then kept lingering, answering question when I was talking with other people on the mic. None of them experienced that- and she knew that I was with other people, not soloing. Really threw me off and I'm pretty introverted and am the type of person that doesn't like people hanging over my shoulder when I am on the computer. I didn't see her do that to anyone else.
