This place is a recent discovery. I give it seven stars, based on my two visits, one eat in, and one take out. Green Valley doesn't have many quality restaurants, and I refuse to patronize crappy restaurants in the light of rampant high prices, bad service, inflated tipping expectations and, of course, the obligatory sales tax. Of the existing ones, many are chains, such as Denny's, KFC and McDonald's. The remaining non-chain venues are frequently purveyors of mediocre food and horrible service. Here's my basis for the good review: 1) Excellent and prompt customer service; 2) The place is immaculately clean; 3) The food is delicious and features generous portions; 4) There are TWO gluten-free pizza crust options; 5) Parking is ample; 6) The prices are reasonable; 7) Convenient to other shopping opportunities; 8) Genuine smiles from the owners and staff are standard operating procedure. At the rate that M. M.'s is building it's customer clientele, they'll have to move into a larger space, or even expand weekend evening hours while the snowbirds are in town. read more

Take out order of a large pizza, half vegetable half mushroom-pepperoni. We were pleasantly surprised by the crust, as it was thin and a bit crispy but nice flavor. Honestly the crust and sauce are what matters most to us. The toppings were okay, nothing stood out look or flavor wise. Our next try a couple weeks later was not as expected. We ordered another large again actually just like the first but received a small. Green Valley is not known for decent pizza parlors so most likely we will give Mario's another try. read more

Yay! Green Valley AZ does NoT have very many restaurants. I've resisted going here since I moved to town but it's been 6 months since I've had pizza. It was time! Location: good, easy to find Restaurant: clean, organized and staff were friendly, especially the blonde woman who brought my pizza out. (I purchased to go). Reasonable amount of time til my pie was ready. It was still hot when I got home. Crust: nice, crunchy and good flavor Cheese: impressive, I could actually TASTE the cheese! Very nice! The newest pizza spot in town. So clean and the staff is amazing. I walked in and ordered to go. We ordered the meatballs appetizer- 2 meatballs bigger than my hand. Tasted like meatloaf and oh so good. Had a 8" chicken bacon ranch was so yummy and a 12" sausage, black olive and mushroom. My dad's favorite. Everything was delicious. We had the cannoli and the peanut butter Reece cup cookie. I'm not a dessert person and I was left wanting more. So glad to find a spot to treat my dad when I'm in town and give him his pizza craving fix. read more

So...one year ago we had a bad experience at this establishment.....but, we try to always be positive and give them a 2nd chance! We have now been back to Mario McGee's 2-3 times and have enjoyed ourselves each and every time.... I love the #8 Italian sandwich and ask them to toast it before adding all the vegetables.....AMAZING! Best sandwiches in GV..... Mario McGee's is my favorite place in Green Valley for comfort food! The place is clean and the waitstaff are friendly. For lunch we had a meatball sandwich, the Southwestern Stromboli, and the Carne Calzone. Everything was fresh full of flavor. Their house made marinara is excellent. The smell as soon as you open the door is magical. I was touring stores for my job and said to everyone where's the best pizza and no one could tell me. I went on an adventure before going back to my hotel and I am happy I did. The smell .. is just unreal I got a pizza split half regular half pepperoni and hot damm Batman it was phenomenal!! Place is small n sometimes very loud n u can't hear the waitress asking u questions. Parking is tight sometimes cause u have to share with other businesses. Best Pizza We Found in the Green Valley Area By the time I wrote this review, we'd been there 2 more times. It's a little hard to find, in an end unit and faces Trader Ln. I don't think they've been open too long as everything is still like new. Modern without being stark. We were there later in the evening towards the end of dinner hour and were seated immediately. We've seen two older ladies who are servers there and they are terrific. Anytime we ask questions about the food they steer us right every time. They are attentive without constantly being in your face. We go there to get two menu items - the small Antipasto Salad ($6.99) and a Medium Supreme Pizza ($24.79). Along with the abundant amount of veggies and meats in the salad, they also shave in cheese. A spectacular salad with not much lettuce. The Supreme pizza has Pepperoni, Canadian Bacon, Mushroom, Green Peppers and Red Onions. Nobody loads topping on a pizza like they do in the midwest, but Mario's does it pretty well. We really like how the crust is almost cracker thin. A little thin to hold up when first brought to the table, but firms a little more as it cools. With the salad as a starter, we only eat about a third of the pizza and bring home the rest. Just like Jello, there's always room for a Stuffed Cannoli ($2.99 ea.). These are made to order, not from the fridge case. My wife goes crazy for these. We've seen other dishes come out to tables and one looks as good as the other. They do have a bar as you enter with a couple beers on tap and I know they have a good selection of wines. Stop in someday and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. read more

The service was very nice, we ordered a small antipasto and a calzone to go. Everything was fresh and the open area allowed for the wonderful cheesy aromas to fill the area. They serve verb in draft and wine. They have brownies and rotating deserts (spumoni, cannoli, tiramisu). The location was consistently busy which is always a good sign. During the waiting time there were also people calling for reservations. Also the staff was cleaning consistently which was something else that will have me coming back. I will say that it is the same price to order a custom calzone verses one of the combinations that are listed, so next time I am just going to entirely customize it. Overall the entire experience was pleasant and I was very imporesses with the attendance and cleanliness of the restaurant and staff. Be willing to wait! It's worth it. read more

Ordered a full sized chicken parmigiana sandwich. had a half: bread was very good, sauce and cheese were good. But the forgot the chicken. Both sides of the roll were full of sauce and cheese, but no chicken. There was 1 chicken finger in the middle of the roll, no meat in either end or on either side. First time here today. Husband and I shared a medium supreme pizza and the olives and cheese appetizer. I usually don't like olives, but it paired deliciously with the cheese. The pizza was good. I really liked the crust too. The staff was nice too, but I didn't like that our check and an empty pizza box was brought out without us asking for it. We were not done yet and we planned on finishing the pizza there, plus I wanted dessert. I ordered Spumoni to go. It's really good. This is one of the first place our neighbors took us when we moved here. Since then it is one of our regular places to revisit. Any time we have guests in town, we take them here. All the dishes we have tried were full of flavor. The prices are very reasonable as well. The salad was mundane w/only iceberg lettuce and 2 grape tomatoes. some cucumber, onions or parsley would have been appreciated.
