However, I have to give 3 stars for the overall execution of my meal. I had a half of a Hammer sandwich which was about $8. It's ham, soppressata, cheese, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, dijon, vinegar, oil, garlic sauce. Unfortunately, I felt that my sandwich came with skimpy toppings. I got a pretty thinly stacked layer of ham and 2 little ovals of soppressata. The cheese was barely present. I also would have loved more tomato. I got a good amount of lettuce and banana peppers, though! Unfortunately, I just couldn't taste the meat and cheese toppings super well due to their being not much of them on the sandwich. The flavor of all the other ingredients were good, though. My friend got the Scramwich on Foccacia for $14. Looking at it, I could also tell it had not much proscuitto. Upon further inspection opening one of the halves of the sandwich... it was definitely only a few little smaller pieces of proscuitto. (The other toppings were on the other piece of bread, don't worry, those were fine) Sorry for the ugly photo - hard to really capture it without dissecting the thing. I also just noticed while looking at the photo again that one of the pieces of arugula also had black spots on it... Definitely not very fresh. My friend still enjoyed the foccacia, sundried tomatoes, and other toppings, but also felt there wasn't enough proscuitto. For the price, I would hope for a sufficient amount of meat. Heard a lot of hype about Quisty's and I see great potential in their quality and concepts! With better execution I'd definitely consider coming back. It's just hard to justify paying as much as we did for sandwiches that were skimpy on arguably one of the most important toppings! read more

This is a cool little spot along that weird stretch of Broadway. Good selection on the menu and the food is prepared as expected. The portions are a little small for the price. Folks behind the counter are very friendly. The only thing I noticed is they seem to struggle with a really clunky point of sale system. There were many looks and gasps of bewilderment from the two folks trying to ring up orders. This significantly slowed down the long line. They have weird policies around adding chicken to the Bobbi salad. It literally makes no sense to charge $3.50 to add chicken to that salad when it costs $2.99 to add it to any other salad. It's the same amount of chicken, according to the folks behind the counter, but they have to do what the clunky point of sale system tells them to do. Otherwise the food is good and it's a decent spot to grab a note to eat. I recommend the bullrider wrap. Don't add chicken to your Bobbi salad. Mayhem. read more

I stopped here during a recent trip to Tucson. After 90+ minutes of driving, I was hungry and had seen this place during a previous trip. Parking is in the back and seemed pretty crowded even though I visited during an "off" time -- around 2pm -- for lunch. Still, I eventually found a spot and didn't have to walk too far. The inside of the shop is nothing fancy: order at the window and pick up when your name is called. There are a few 2-person tables inside by the order window and some outdoor tables. There may be some tables in the front, but I didn't make it up there. I had the full-szed Badger as it comes standard (Steak, Pepper Jack, Grilled Onion, Grilled Mushroom, Grilled Pepper, Grilled Jalapeño, Lettuce, Pickles, Chipotle Ranch, Garlic Spread) on Ciabatta bread. Even though I thought I was hungry, it was a LOT of sandwich and I could have been fine with the half. The place was empty save for two other people waiting on orders and they departed quickly upon receiving their sandwiches. The woman at the counter was friendly and helpful while I decided what I wanted to order and offered some suggestions. Just tried Quisty's for the first time and it was delicious! I had the Dozer sandwich on focaccia bread and they honestly might have the best sandwiches in Tucson. The macaroni salad was also really good. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because it took about 35 minutes to get our food, even though it wasn't busy. A few people who ordered after us were served before we were. The interior is small with limited indoor seating, so keep that in mind if you're planning to eat there. Happy this new sandwich shop has opened in the Sol Block! Had a fantastic visit at The Studio Salon and decided to try out a sandwich from the new shop. It was highly recommended to get a wrap from one of the salon artists. Just a few doors down I entered the quaint sandwich shop. It is very nice inside and loved the table tops inside! Fancy! Ordering was simple, the gentleman behind the counter was super nice offered his assistance with any questions. I ordered the bull rider wrap! Sat down to wait and it wasn't much of a wait, he delivered the freshly made wrap ready to go out the door. I had to try it! It was delicious, and so fresh! Pleasantly surprised at this small sandwich shop located on Broadway, in the new dining strip where Rocco's moved into. Seating is minimal with a few tables and chairs inside, in addition to the outdoor seating area that is shared by the surrounding establishments. My Husband and I both got hot sandwiches and they came out in a reasonable fashion. They do have some monthly specials, however, their online ordering system does not seem to be congruent with the menu options they have in the store. Not sure how that changes if you order online versus what they are able to make. They do have fountain drinks, as well as a local lemonade beverage that they sell. Parking can be a little tight in general in this area. The amount of deli meat to veggies ratio is very good and they do not skimp on the meat. Usually, I'm hungry enough to eat a whole sandwich but half the sandwich is actually a pretty good portion. I would say the only thing I would make note of is that they are generous with the condiments, so if you do not like a very saucy sandwich, I would ask to have light portions on their condiments/sauces. I don't usually make it this far down Broadway since I live farrrrrrr east side, but I'd really been craving a chopped salad and saw they had one with salami and banana peppers. When I first pulled into the parking lot, I almost stopped at Rocco's, thinking they'd have a great chopped salad too -- but something told me to stick to my original plan. I'm so glad I did. I've been super excited to try this place after walking by several times when getting coffee at Decibel. We got the big bird sandwich, which was well made and had good flavors. The sun dried tomatoes were a great touch and the ingredients were fresh. The loss of stars comes mainly from the service and slightly from the lack of value. A whole sandwich was over $15 after tax (with no sides or drink) and was smaller than a regular sub sandwich I'd get at a generic sub place. I may be out of touch with sandwich pricing but after getting it, I was surprised. The main reason for the loss of stars was the service - you know when you walk into a place and immediately feel like the staff is annoyed to be there? That was the experience here. I considered just leaving but had already waited in line a bit and had been excited to try the food. The attitude of the cashier was really unwelcoming, she was openly annoyed to answer my question on allergy ingredients and generally not kind. I watched others behind me look surprised or apologize as they ordered. The combo of the premium pricing (for what is a good quality sandwich, they do have that positive!) with unkind service isn't something I'd be willing to come back for. read more

I ordered the Bosque (bo-skay) toasted on ciabatta - turkey, bacon, provolone, lettuce, onion, banana peppers, olive oil, chipotle mayo, and garlic spread. This place nails the balance. It's not some massive, messy sandwich that looks good on Instagram but leaves you feeling terrible after. Best way I can describe it is Italy meets America, but done right. More depth and care than the traditional sandwich you would get overseas, without turning into an over-the-top monster sandwich. Just really well thought-out food. You can tell they care about what they're putting out. Simple, elevated, and genuinely impressive. Will absolutely be back. Amazing! One of the best wraps I've had in Tuscon! I tried the bull rider wrap and it did not disappoint. The wrap had the perfect balance of veggies/meat and just the right amount of dressing. The tortilla was fresh and soft. The space is cozy with 4 indoor tables and 4 outdoor tables. All are 2-seaters. I got there just before the lunch rush and the service was fast and friendly. Where do I begin?? This was the first time we've been in Quisty's and we were thoroughly impressed. Not only was the food amazing, the service is just as good as the food! Every employee we encountered was friendly and upbeat. This restaurant definitely gets very busy during the lunch rush, but the staff slings sandwiches like a pit crew changes tires in NASCAR. I went back here today for lunch with a friend and when I arrived, I was the only one in the small building. I was greeted while I looked at the menu and also informed that the bread could be upgraded Friday through Sunday to focaccia bread for two dollars. Once I ordered, I got the hammer sandwich and some of the onion chips. The onion chips were not that great as they lack some boldness of flavor, but that's not made by them. The sandwich was okay, but I liked the sandwich. I got last time better (the cha cha). The hammer sandwich I got today had a strong vinegar flavor, and that was the biggest stand out of the sandwich. My husband and I are big fans of the Broadway bar and numerous friends have mentioned how delicious Quisty's was, so we had to check them out. The interior is spacious, clean and welcoming. The staff helped us immediately and asked if we had any questions. I am mostly gluten free and one of the employees emphasized how delicious their GF wraps were. So I decided to get the buffalo chicken wrap and my partner got the monsoon sandwich on ciabatta. Both the sandwich and the wrap were flavorful, and packed full of meat, spices, and unique add ons like fried onion pieces. Everything was absolutely delicious and plenty of food! This newly opened sandwich shop was cozy and very busy at lunch time on a Saturday. I'm giving props to the server at the front counter who was so friendly and helpful to everyone, even with all the people waiting for their food or waiting in line to order. We ordered the Big Bird and the Bosque sandwiches with mac salad on the side. I was able to choose from ciabatta, sub, or focaccia and if I wanted it toasted (recommended). Dare I say best sandwich in Tucson? I do indeed. These are the types of sandwiches I could eat everyday. Let me start by saying the ciabatta bread is the best I've ever had. It's much softer than other ciabattas I've had. The hard crust on ciabatta usually ends up scraping my mouth, but not this one. The focaccia was also good, but it's just hard to beat the ciabatta. I've had 3 sandwiches so far and every one of them has been incredible. The ingredients and cuts are top, top notch. Love the flavors of the sauces and seasonings. Pricing was very reasonable for the quality you get. It's truly a top tier sandwich. Such a great addition to the area. My man and I are the biggest sandwich lovers ever so we have been dying to come try this local place. It did not disappoint! Lady behind the counter was sweet and helpful when I asked for her bread recommendations. I got the sir blue on focaccia, and bf got the cha cha on focaccia. Mine was really good, but only get it if you're in the mood for a sweet sandwich. Bf's sandwich was amazing (I stole quite a few bites) and he loved the remaining scraps I left him of his own sandwich. They import their meats from Italy and you can tell in the quality. My only small critique is the shop has limited seats inside. However the patio was open but as it is 105° outside as I write this, nobody was outside. I went to Quistys with some friends when visiting Tucson for a small reunion. Wow has Tucson's food scene grown! This place competes with any other sandwich shop that you might find in places like New York City, Los Angeles, or any other foodie city. The ingredients are the cream of the crop, with meat imported all the way from Italy. I opted for the Chrissy, given the name, and the flavors really popped. It's hard to nail a flavorful pesto, but they've done it! Id like to know their secret... I also enjoyed the fresh take on adding sun dried tomatoes rather than sliced ones on a caprese style sandwich, I think it really brought everything together. We also enjoyed the macaroni salad, making Quistys a true sandwich shop! Another highlight of the whole experience was their kind employees, answering all of our questions.
