My husband and I had a date night and so I requested to go back to the stables Ranch Grill. The service was superb. The food was absolutely delicious and total perfection.

We've dined at Stables a few times and have always had a great experience. My husband always goes for the burger, and I've enjoyed the pasta, appetizers, soups and salads (the Cowgirl Cobb and Tubac Flatbread are standouts.) We typically order to-go and dine in our room or poolside, but my friend and I opted for dinner on the restaurant patio during this last visit and it was perfect, thanks in part to some amazing live music. The service is great, price point very reasonable for resort dining and I've been happy with every meal I've had during my half-dozen or so visits over the years. There are plenty of great dining options in Tubac, and this is one of them.

We came back to Tubac to shop and dine. We came here because breakfast was so good last time. We had excellent hot sandwiches while gazing out to the golf course. Here it includes cows wandering. Maybe they are a Hazard Very rustic.

We had dinner here after a beautiful day of golf. The hostess and weight staff were very friendly. We told them we were gonna be a little bit late to our reservation because the couple we had played golf with offered to buy us a cocktail afterwards the hostess said it wasn't a problem and to just let them know when we are ready. The cocktails were very good. I always love a great cocktail. We had salads for an appetizer and both were fresh and clean and paired well with their salad dressings. I had the salmon which looked delicious, but it lacked flavor and tasted very fatty. I substituted the rice for asparagus and asparagus was yummy . My husband pasta dish was satisfactory to him. He ate it all up, but my favorite part was dessert. Their specialty was carrot cake, which was good, but I enjoyed the peanut butter pie dessert, which was outstanding. Overall we had a nice experience. It was nice to have a place to go eat and relax after a beautiful day of golf.

What a view!!!! Absolutely gorgeous patio dining experience, and scenery!! Everything started off good. Came in at 430 with a party of 5 for our dad's birthday. we got cocktails, sister asked for no ice in her Sangria, but instead, she got lots of it. we got the jalapeño with cilantro tequila drink. it came delicious, and refreshing with a nice rim. we ordered a bunch of appetizers. Ceviche, bacon shrimp, chips/salsa,ect. the salsa had absolutely no flavor, could barely taste the tomatoes. the mango slaw with the bacon shrimp was super good!! Our meals came out , and everyone enjoyed theirs, except me. i got the shrimp primavera. it had a lemon wine cream sauce; i asked for no cream to be put into the sauce. I get a dry, super bland $34 pasta dish. It was also missing the spinach it stated to have. I had to squeeze 6 sliced lemons over it, and salt/pepper it to be able to enjoy it. Head chef ended up making it the way i requested, so i sent it hime with my dad. Wish it was made correctly the first time!! service started out nice, then became super slow. never got water refilled until we were done eating, then they were trying to refill like crazy. Had to ask for check, ask to be checked out. ask for to go dessert. Wont go back.

My husband and I had a lovely anniversary dinner at Stables. The setting is gorgeous, the entire staff so kind and attentive, and the meal was delicious. The seafood dishes were outstanding. We can't wait to return!

Stayed at the resort and gave this place a try for dinner. Made a reservation and sat in side. Service was slow, but it was after a holiday so they may have been short staffed. We Started with the baguette bread, bacon wrapped prawns and potato soup. The the soup was good. Had chunks of cheese in it. I wish the bread was warm, I couldn't spread the butter on it. I had a blood orange margarita and a black and blue. I ordered a second black and blue, but it did not taste near as good as the first. I was told different bartender made the second one and they took it back to remake it a Third time, but even with third remake, it was not delicious like the first one. So beware, the drink recipes aren't consistent. For entrees, we each had Prawns & Smoked Andouille (House-made fettuccine, bell peppers, red onions, baby spinach, light white wine cream sauce). I requested chicken instead of prawns (expecting chicken and Andouille, instead of prawns and Andouille) but I only got the chicken. I think there was a miscommunication to the kitchen with my request from our server. I tasted a piece of my friend's Andouille and it was spicy, would have complimented the chicken well if it was made the way I requested For dessert I had the Wilcox Apple & Almond Crumble( praline pecan ice cream). I got it to go, to eat in my room, but it usually is served in a skillet fyi. The apple were cold, but The ice cream was good! I wish I had got a second scoop.

Went for late dinner (8pm) on a Wednesday. We were the only diners. Beautiful, rustic decor. Fun atmosphere. Waitress was attentive and we enjoyed a lovely dinner. I had the shrimp and it was tasty. The sauce was a bit too liquid. Friend had the short ribs. He loved them. So tender you could cut it with the fork. Fresh baked bread. Hot out of the oven with yummy whipped butter. Highly recommend. Beautiful property.

If you're at the resort, it makes a lot of sense to eat at the Stables Ranch Grill. The building has a lot of character and history. The hostess and servers were very helpful and friendly but didn't seem to be professionals. I ordered a Sazerac off the cocktail menu. It was made completely wrong. It was shaken and poured in a martini glass. I could not smell any absinthe, and there was no peychauds bitters. I then ordered a Scotch neat, and it came out rocks. The bartending was amateur at best. My wife ordered the salmon, which was cooked properly but lacked seasoning. The brussel sprouts that came with it were dramatically undercooked. I ordered the Tomahawk Pork Chop. It was the best bite we had. It was tasty and juicy. My broccoli side was ice cold. The bartending and food fell way short of our expectations at this price point. The location, building, and friendly service made the experience A-OK.

What's up with the low reviews? Great food! Recommending: short ribs (had them last year), steelhead trout special, and pork schnitzel. Great service. Great dessert. Especially liked the server Erica or maybe it was Emily who was hellbent on making my Diet Coke filled to the top with lemon slices. I love this place and their saddle bar stools!

We have been waiting for over a year to try this exquisite gem of a restaurant in the Bisbee hamlet…read moreof Warren. Either it was closed, or our schedules didn't work. It was worth the wait, and our only regret is that we hadn't prioritized trying it sooner. Everything was magical, from the laid-back, hippie atmosphere of the street it resides on to the experience once inside the establishment. What makes this even more notable, and further enhances the experience, is the lack of similar dining establishments in deep southern Arizona. One can find fine dining in Tucson, over an hour away and far too far for a simple evening out. That's not to say there aren't decent or good restaurants in Cochise County. However, none excel in all aspects of an evening out experience, from greeting to service to the quality of the meal. We had a reservation and were seated immediately at the only table open in the restaurant. That is a plus for their table management. Within two minutes, our waiter appeared with water and bread. Expressing our joy at this proper start to the meal is impossible. In eight years of living in southern Arizona, we have often observed management and wait staff at other establishments taking five minutes or more to arrive at the table. That delay typically foreshadows a lack of basic service that follows. The bread basket featured freshly baked country bread, accompanied by a small plastic ramekin of butter. We would have enjoyed the butter served more elegantly, but that is a minor matter. The bread was excellent. We had heard that the restaurant's appetizers are a highlight and decided to try three: a fresh bacon, apple, arugula, and beet salad, Mussels Meuniere (which were specials), and Arancini. The salad was beautifully composed with just the right amount of dressing to highlight the flavors of the ingredients. The Arancini may have been the best I have ever had. Perfectly fried balls of tender risotto set in a delicious tomato sauce were an unexpected treat. The mussels, unfortunately, were the low point of the meal. Overcooked and rubbery mussels in a tepid sauce that lacked depth and flavor were a major disappointment. Still, that was the only disappointment of the evening and didn't detract from the rest of the meal. We chose two specials for our main course. My wife selected the Salmon topped with a deconstructed Clams Casino. I opted for chicken cutlets topped with eggplant and a dollop of pesto, served in a rich Roman mushroom tomato sauce. The Salmon was incredible. Perfectly cooked and nestled on a plate expertly nappeed with a sublime sauce, it alone excited the palate. But when topped with a well-made clam casino mixture, the dish became an epicurean delight. The chicken was masterfully prepared and was highlighted by the silky-textured eggplant that topped it. The Roman mushroom tomato sauce was well made, my only minor comment being that a different choice of mushrooms might have taken the dish to another level. That said, I would order it again, and probably will if it's on the menu when we return. The dessert selection had me wishing for a larger stomach. Every item on the menu and the specials board looked enticing. We settled on a Basque Cheese cake with blackberries and bananas. We could not have asked for a finer way to end the evening. Perfectly cooked, silky cheesecake in a subtle white sauce and topped with dollops of fresh whipped cream provided just the right amount of sweet and tart to end the meal. Everyone we interacted with was kind, courteous, and tried to be helpful. Unfortunately, the food was very underwhelming. We ordered the burger with mac & cheese, a French dip sandwich, biscuits and gravy, chili cheese fries, zucchini fries, and drinks for two adults and two kids. None of us finished our meals. My son's mac & cheese had a pool of oil underneath it, the biscuits and gravy left a greasy film on the roof of our mouths, the cheese on the chili cheese fries tasted very artificial, and the zucchini fries were slimy. I also found a piece of brown paper in my food. I showed it to the staff, and they apologized. They told me they would remove the meal from the bill and even offered me a cinnamon roll for the inconvenience, which I initially accepted because I appreciated the gesture. However, when I went to pay, I realized they had only discounted the meal by half instead of removing it entirely. At that point, everything kind of fell apart for me. I no longer wanted the cinnamon roll because I was genuinely disappointed with the entire experience. I didn't argue about it because the staff had been very kind, it had already taken quite a while just to pay, and I needed to leave. Another surprise was the pricing. The menu made it seem like the meals came with a side, but we were charged separately for each one. The drinks were around $4 each, even for the kids. Our total came to $73 before the partial discount and was still about $65 afterward. I understand this isn't meant to be gourmet dining, and I'm usually perfectly happy with simple diner food if it tastes good. Unfortunately, this just didn't. It was one of those meals where you leave thinking, "Well, I ate," but not feeling like you actually enjoyed it. For the price, it was especially disappointing. I honestly feel like we could have had a better meal almost anywhere else for less money even somewhere like McDonald's, and I'm not a fan of McDonald's. I truly appreciate how friendly and accommodating the staff were, which is why I'm giving more than one star. I just hope the food quality and value improve because the service deserves better than the food that's being served.

The beets and everything that came with them was very fresh! I love anything with pickled onions. The steak appetizer was excellent and my dad could not stop talking about them. Next, I ordered the swordfish special and my dad got the pork chop. Everything was cooked to perfection and flavor was everywhere! For dessert we split the dark chocolate ganache. The ganache was very rich but paired wonderfully with the whipped cream and other flavors. I don't drink, but my dad also loved the cocktails he ordered!
