My girlfriend locked the both of us out of my home and it was perfect timing because my parents are out of the country along with my close relatives and neighbor. to top it off, my neighbor's son is in NY so really, there's no one other than myself that has a spare key lying around. I called mario and thankfully, he was on duty on a saturday. He came to my service in 15 minutes (1 star) and first tried to credit card my lock before drilling it out. He was very honest about letting me know that I have a high security lock and that picking is impossible and that the only way to unlock it will ultimately destroy the damn thing. After his services, he also offered to get the lock replaced with either a standard lock or another high security one. I ended up buying my own lock at lowe's which was then I realized that he wasn't trying to overprice me with his offer (2 star). Then he also offered to rekey the cylinder to my current key for no extra charge (3 star). He did call me back on the way to my home where I was trapped in my house because I lost all my keys (even car). There were 4 different keys to my house. 99 cents to make a copy of one key, hella cheap YES! When I first came in I was nicely greeted by this one Asian lady who asked if I needed any help. I got my keys copied in less than 1 minute. I made a copy of two keys and came out to a total of $2.14 which was cheap. It's located right in my neighborhood and I will be sure to come here next time I need copies made, so much cheaper than American places like Home Depot that prolly charge like $3 for one key. They also do copies of keys for cars and the ones that has a remote attached to it to unlock/lock your car door. Definitely come to this place if you need keys made and you're in the neighborhood. read more

I contacted Mario's Locksmith to have my home rekeyed. I decided to choose them because they gave me a firm quote over the phone. Other locksmiths I contacted charged an hourly fee or gave an approximate price range. Basically with other locksmiths I wouldn't know how much I was going to pay until the job was done. I called for service first thing in the morning and Mario was able to come out in 20 minutes. He was very professional and great in answering all my questions. He cleaned all the mechanical parts, replaced screws that were stripped, and all the locks operated even better than before. With all the tools he had, he was even courteous enough to pick up his roller bag instead of dragging it across our floor. At the end he encouraged me to try out all the keys and locks which worked perfectly. I was also happy that he was able to bring a credit card machine for me to swipe and pay. Went to Home Depot for a house key-didn't work. Then went to Lowe's, no one at the key machine so used the self serve machine-key didn't work. Went to Mario's- key worked great. I asked if they accepted credit cards and they said yes. However, they refused to even run my precious credit card. Saying it would not go through without even trying. I went into Mario's to have him re-key two of the locks to my building. I forgot the keys to the locks, but being the magician he is, he was able to pick the locks. While doing so, he had the great idea of making one key that serves as a master key to open both (which residents can use), and another key that only opens the outer door such that the mailman can enter without having access to the rest of the building.
