I called Mario's Pizza because there is a discrepancy on their menu on-line.The online menu only offers a small salad for $9.00 but their website menu offers a small salad for $6.00 and a large salad for 8.00. I've been coming here since high school and it's always so good! The pizza is perfect; not greasy, you can fold it, delicious. It hits all the right notes. They have so many options and a huge menu. We ordered delivery this time for the Super Bowl and we're quoted 630pm but we got the pizza and wings just before 6pm! It was perfect. The wings were buffalo garlic parmesan and they were amazing. All I have to say is wowza. I came here today with my friends Tanka and Jahari. We were in the area for a painted-tire juggling conference. The conference went well but it definitely worked up our appetites (as you could imagine). We ordered 3 "giant" pizzas. I do have to mention Tanka and Jahari did not order the whole pizzas for themselves but they didn't want to waste food, so they did eat the pizzas in the end. The pizza is delicious and the place is extra extraordinarily clean. The young lady who took mine's, Jahari's, and Tanka's order was very nice, caring, and extravagant. The two chefs in the back were kind and funny as well. I truly appreciate this experience today, especially after the conference we attended today! Thank you! May come back next Wednesday after I take the ferrets to the vet. Service was speedy. I can't watch my nephews on Fridays anymore. read more

Being from out of town, we're always looking for a hole in the wall place to eat. We saw an ad for pizza and it sounded good. The place is spotless! Our party ended up getting a pizza, a calzone, onion rings and fried mushrooms. I got the hoagie toasted with Italian dressing. We only took home a small portion of the calzone and one piece of pizza. It was all delicious! I did not leave a bite of my hoagie! Highly recommend! I love these hole in the wall mom and pop places. The service is quick, and the food is a good portion. The pricing is also very reasonable. I order an Eggplant Rollatini. It's only $13 and it comes with bread sticks, pasta, and a salad. The food is pretty good too. I'd go back again! read more

Food was always great but they lost a returning customer today. My kids and I arrived at 10:35am and ordered 4 slices. We were the only people there besides the first 4 of what looked like a birthday party being set up. 40 min later still no slices. I asked how much longer and was told they are making it now. We waited a few more minutes before walking out. If we were told it was going to be an hour before 4 slices were done I would have said thanks but no thanks. Communication goes along way. read more

As a family who loves their pizza I thought we'd tried every local place around here. Somehow I managed to miss Mario's so we decided to check it out this weekend. Most of the reviews seemed great so we headed over. Parking was a breeze. The location is tucked away from the street pretty far back so I can see why I missed it. Once inside I was surprised to see how large it was. There was an ample amount of seating, tv and fountain station. The menu was pretty good size. Service was friendly. You order at the counter and everything is brought out to you. We ordered a small antipasto salad, breadsticks, large pepperoni and half with sausage as well as 20 wings. The specials are priced well. My salad came out first and looked and tasted amazing! Great meat and dressing tasty. The breadsticks followed. The marinara they came with had great flavor. I prefer garlic knots but they were pretty good. The hot wings stole the show and even my daughter who doesn't usually eat many are more than I've ever seen ha ha. They were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The flavor was hot but not overkill. They were sauced well. The pizza came out quick, crust was crisp which we love so when you pick it up not soggy. Flavor again good. My kids really enjoyed it even the crust. While the inside wasn't too busy with dine in patrons they seem to do quite the take out business. The location was clean and when we left they made sure to thank us for coming. Located on Dysart Rd in El Mirage, Az, it is family operated business that takes much pride in their facility, as well as the quality and taste of their products. My wife enjoys their spaghetti, with a salad and garlic knots. Personal, I really enjoy the Veggie Calzone with a side of sauce (actually I usually get an extra sauce). I am from New York and my son now lives in Arizona. He said that Mario's pizza was the closest thing to real New York pizza he's had in Arizona (or anywhere else outside New York--except maybe Jersey). He was right. It was pretty good. They say New York pizza and bagels are good because of the water. Maybe it's true. The people were pleasant. We also ordered fettuccine Alfredo, though not really an Italian dish, was good. BUYER BEWARE! WHEN (NOT IF) THEY MESS UP YOUR ORDER YOU WILL NOT BE COMPENSATED NOR WILL THEY CARE OR MAKE IT RIGHT! This used to be our go-to "good pizza" place. We moved to El Mirage back in 2014 and have been going to this business since then, nearly 10 years now! This past weekend, we did a $90 order, our usual with a family of 5. This place has always been very friendly with top-notch customer service, except this past visit. The online order for a pick-up time of 2:30 pm was placed, the husband went to pick up the order. 2:30 came and went, others received their orders but not ours. Any attempt to ask someone for an update and no employee could be found, they were all in the back avoiding customers. Around 2:45 some "kid" came from the back to bring him our order, without 1 of the 2 pizzas we ordered & had already paid for! So then my husband had to catch the employee who tried to run quickly to the back & wait another 10 minutes while they made the 1 they forgot! Only to come home & realize they never gave us our chicken Cesar salad we also ordered & paid for. I emailed the business directly to let them know about this disservice and lack of customer service, notating that we have been a customer for over 9 years now. Some Emil responded with a simple "sounds like you made your mind up not to return, let me know if I can do anything else..." This came with no offer of any refund, or a redo of making our order, etc. So I asked for a refund, didn't specify an amount, as I had already told him the situation & that we never got the salad we paid for. I then get a refund for the 18% tip that I made in advance online, nothing for the salad, not even an email response from Emil. Previously, I would highly recommend them, but after the lack of care from the business, shotty customer service, & order inconsistencies with zero management for any mishap, we will NOT be returning to this establishment. I will not give my hard-earned money to a business that handles a complaint with such mismanagement. There are SEVERAL other family-run pizza shops that are probably much more worth your hard-earned money! Everyone is going through hard times, and if smiling & speaking to a paying customer is too much to accomplish, then they shouldn't be doing business in the first place. read more

Since one of our favorite pizza places recently closed, we decided to try this local pizza place over the holidays. We had the extra large meat pizza on Christmas Eve loaded with pepperoni, sausage, ham, meatballs ( although I didn't really see them, so much have been small ). Very good and filling. Our favorite was New Year's Eve when we ordered the extra large pepperoni with extra pepperoni. Delicious! Next we will be trying their steak and cheese subs. All I can say is Mario's is amazing. I tried them for the first time and I ordered delivery. I received my food earlier then expected. The food was hot and delicious. I love the wings sauce it's light and tasty I can't describe it but they are delicious. The mozzarella stick were fried perfectly light batter with a ton of cheese. The antipasti salad was fresh with a huge amount of meat! The PIZZA was the best! The crust was light and butter goodness.
