Our girls love their Garden Pizza. They are almost like extended family to us. They are kind and welcoming to everyone. We came after a Yelp event across the street looking for lunch. It has been pizza love ever since.

Pepperoni pizza. Chicken Wings. Mozzarella Sticks.

Insane and unacceptable that this place doesn't have a minimum of a 4.5 stars. This is my go to pizza place. Legit family owned. Welcoming every time I come in here and the pizza, wings mozzarella sticks. All of their food is top-quality. I have a cousin from New York. You came and tried this pizza and said that it was better than New-York pizza. We will always come to this place for pizza. Forever my Insane and unacceptable that this place doesn't have at least 4.5 stars! This is my go-to pizza spot, and it's truly the best around. It's a legit family-owned business, and they make you feel welcome every single time you walk in. The food is consistently top-quality . The pizza, wings, mozzarella sticks, everything. I even brought my cousin from New York, and he said this pizza was better than what he gets back home. That says a lot! Their service is always speedy, and you can tell they do their best for every customer. I even celebrated my 25th birthday here outside, and it was perfect. The dessert was great, too. The restaurant is always clean, the people are friendly, and the atmosphere feels like home. We'll keep coming back. Easily my forever favorite pizza place.

Very good. Pizza was perfectly crisp as well as the wings. The medium sauce was fire. 10/10. The fried zucchini was mid at best 6/10. The news was on the tv which we enjoyed while eating. It was indeed cozy. Will be returning.

I was in the neighborhood for a facial at Clean Your Dirty Face, which is right across the street from Garden Pizza. Pizza sounded good, so I stopped in after my facial for lunch. The restaurant was quite crowded, with some dine-in patrons as well as several people waiting for take-out orders. This is a family-owned quick-serve New York style pizza restaurant. They have medium and large pizzas, with thin or thick crust, as well as wings, salads, and pasta dishes. I opted for two slices of cheese pizza. I added mushrooms as the topping. The man who waited on me was friendly and welcoming. My pizza was served to me at my table after about a 10 minute wait. It came out piping hot . The portion size was generous and two slices was just the perfect amount of pizza for me. The pizza was fresh and delicious. Their iced tea was good, too. I'm subtracting one star because the tables all had crumbs on them. The trash can where you bus your own table looked like someone had thrown up on the opening section, where you throw your trash. Very unappetizing.

Called in to order take out. Customer service was friendly. You can feel the family owned atmosphere. The inside has good seating and there is outdoor seating too. We ordered pizza, wings, fries and calzone. The food was good. Wings had good taste but they were a bit small on the size. The calzone was a good size, it can be shared. Overall a good pizza spot.

I don't know what's going on with these reviews, the pizza is great, the people are legit. Support small businesses

FOOD Honestly the food was over priced and taste less. I had gotten the deep dish pizza, hot wings, and cheesy garlic bread. The ranch was sour and the pizza had no taste, the wings weren't even hot, they just tasted like straight vinegar. The pizza had the consistency of a burnt cookie and the garlic bread was soggy, as well as the boneless wings which weren't even boneless because I had a bone in mine. The only positive thing about the food was when I doused it in Parmesan cheese and even then it still had no flavor 2/10 would not recommend. And all of this for 6 grape sized "Boneless Wings", 2 soggy garlic bread slices, and a more than crispy pizza cost me 37.83. For anyone that goes here dominoes had more flavor EMPLOYEES Other than the food I would rate the employees a 7/10, nothing life changing but they were nice and quick... that's all I got to say ATMOSPHERE The place is reminiscent of barros pizza but a bit more nicer, and by a bit I mean it like that, barros has better food though...

My husband and I had been once before for our anniversary and the food was incredible. Tonight really showed how much heart and love goes into this restaurant when a little boy peaked out from behind the wall & asked if my kids wanted to play with him as we waited to be seated. After making sure it was okay with who I'm assuming is the owner & family of the little boy, my kids went to the table he was at to color and play with him. Everyone was so kind and gracious with my kids, and the little boy Sebastian was the highlight of our night. He was such a sweet kid & the best little host. My kids had a great time with him as we waited for our food. I got the carbonara, my dad got the chicken pesto & my husband got a 3 meat penne. The kids got chicken tender and fries. Each dish was delicious and tasted authentic. The bruschetta dip was amazing. My husband doesn't normally like bruschetta, but how the flavors were balanced had him eating most of it. The bread was perfect, crisp outside with a softer inside. My carbonara was creamy and flavorful. Most carbonara upsets my stomach because of dairy (but I still order it anyway because it's my favorite), but how they made it here left me feeling satisfied without an upset stomach which is a huge win in my book! It warmed my heart to feel like my kids were welcomed in a restaurant with open arms when many restaurants view kids in general as a burden. We will definitely be back! Personally, we've never been to a restaurant that provided this quality of service and hospitality in addition to the best Italian food we've had at a more than reasonable cost! 10/10 recommend this to anyone!

They compliment the culture extremely well, and help set the atmosphere. When we went for lunch on a Sunday, it was pretty empty (only 1 other table). I would recommend not worrying about the low attendance. I think this has to do more with the fact that Downtown Avondale tends to be pretty empty. I think that they would do really well and be a lot busier if they were in a different location. The service was amazing, our server was attentive and gave out really good recommendations. While all the food was delicious...the free bread was my favorite. It was perfectly toasted and seasoned and included a brushetta topping on the side. I could have just ate that and would have been extremely happy. We ordered an appetizer of Calamari, it was a good portion size for the cost. The Calamari was well seasoned and crispy. I ordered the Portobello Mushroom Ravioli. It was flavorful with large pieces of mushroom mixed with the sauce. Even though it was a white cream sauce, the dish was suprisingly light, I would recommend trying it. The other two people I was with both ordered the Frutti de Mare. There was a good mixe and amount of seafood in the dish and the pasta was cooked perfectly. While the marinara sauce was good, I don't think it was something that was out of this world. I just think it needed a little more seasoning or some kind of kick to round it out. Overall, great restaurant and would recommend.

Both pizzas were interesting. The Lichfield Park pizza has pesto sauce and corn on it, as well as cheese, so you might get a slice of that after your "guests" scarf their first helping. You better grab a slice of the Brooklyn pizza right away, though, because it's a traditional-looking pizza with pepperoni and sausage. You won't get a second shot at a slice. You'll get to finish the rest of the "adult" strawberry & bacon salad, though, with spinach instead of lettuce, walnuts, strawberries, and bacon bits. It doesn't come with ranch or even ranch-colored dressing, so they might not risk trying a pinkish salad dressing as a dip for their pizza crust. It's a very good salad and helped my vacation digestion, since I'm not used to the 110° August heat. Papa Paul's Pizza is less than a mile away from my room at the Wigwam. Going there would even be walkable in the summer heat if the fences around the Wigwam had pedestrian gates. As it is, both driveway gates on that corner of the Wigwam are slotted through the perimeter fence far from the place where Papa Pauls and the resort are just across the street from each other. I'm too delicate for a 0.9-mile walk in that much sun. I enjoyed a glass of wine at the bar to rehydrate, though, while I waited for the pizzas to come out of the oven.

Limited wine list for an Italian restaurant. We started with a caesar salad to split - SO much cheese, it was too much. I understand some people like that, but I wish they would have lightened up the amount and just have people ask for more if they want that. I ordered the chicken & broccoli alfredo. Sauce was clearly made in house, but the pasta itself was generic and did not taste like it was homemade. Good amount of protein though. We also ordered the mango and classic cannolis, and these stole the show. Flaky to perfection! If we come back, we might try the pizzas to see how it compares to the pasta.
