I wasn't sure 100% sure if I wanted to wear the dress to the party I'm supposed to go to. Three weeks later, I go in to have the alterations done. Price went up to $80! read more

Walked in to see if they could do a same day alteration to my pants leg because they are a bit wide, says no. The response felt rushed, and he didn't even see the fabric. Went across the street to Fernando's Tailor Shop and the lady who greeted me saw the fabric and asked what I'd need done. When I asked if they do same day alterations, she said she'd have it done in 30 minutes. Customer service is an A. I purchased a pageant style gown from Noell with beading and a small train, I absolutely loved the dress. The lady at Noell recommended a couple of places, as it was next door I came here. The customer service was cordial. He was busy and many ppl were leaving their dresses, so I felt confident leaving it, but in retrospect, their dresses were not as detailed as mine. Plus i didn't have major alterations so I felt ok leaving it, just tightening straps and fixing the length. I brought my own shoes to ensure the right length. He quoted me $100. I wanted to honor his craftsmanship so I didn't balk at the price. Well pick up came the dress straps were great but the length was not, the dress required some type of material which in my opinion the shop used inferior quality making the shape at the bottom a disaster. I explained it to him. He got a little defensive and said if I wanted him to fix it (his mistake) it would cost me another $75. I was not happy. I ended up taking it as is and scrambled to find and buy a pair of shoes that would hide his shoddy work. I think for basic work he is great but not for quality work. It's a hassle. But if your gown was more than $500 shop around the area for a better tailor. read more

Would give 0 stars but cannot. Got a dress from Noells on Monday & took it to Mario's for the straps to get fixed & he was going to remove some of the tulle. He said $50 which I felt he wasn't sure about, he seemed to not know how much to charge. He said the dress would be done Friday but I told him I couldn't come back till Monday or Tuesday. He said even better give him more time. I live 1.5 hours away but we figured we would leave it because he was probably used to working with those kind of dresses be next to Noell. I went back over a week later on Tuesday and he said he forgot where he put the dress because it was in the wrong spot and never worked on it. Crappy customer service. His work has always been good, but, unfortunately, when I went this last time, I was very disappointed! He quoted me almost $700 to tailor 3 gowns and a toddler's dress. The tailoring cost more than the price of each gown separately! I ended up finding a tailor in the same neighborhood who alters wedding dresses and fancy gowns for almost $500 less (same quality and same time frame). I was getting ready to go on a cruise with my husband for our 1 year anniversary, and I had a dress that I loved but was too long, and needed to be hemmed. I took the dress, along with a pair of jeans, and a sheer shirt that had a few holes near the arm seam due to the super thin material. I expected to drop it off and return within a day or 2, but Mario said it'd be done within an hour... It's greedy,rude and horrible experience,here is why: I bought a but damaged dress at the Noel next door and they suggested going to Mario,they told me that it is good quality alteration and not so expensive besides they fix stones on dresses sometimes for free if they know it's Noel's customer. So I went there and asked about stones to get fixed and hemmed it because I'm very petit. One young guy said it'll be together 60$ I said I'll be back next day because I need to get it hemmed with my shoes. The next day I got back and another guy a but older told me it will be 160$!!!!!!he said it is a lot of work which is not because there is no details on the bottom of the dress!!!After negotiating for 10min he hid behind clothes and yelled his final price 120$ and 1week ,I took my dress and went across the street and got it done for 45$ same day!!!don't go there if you want good survive got good money! read more
