This is my first time at moon goat Coffee Roasters in Irvine in a commercial complex by UCI. There…read moreis lots of parking out front. It is a Large coffee shop with a warm and cozy interior. I loved the large painting on the wall depicting the rugged old west with a cow boy having a cup of coffee by the fire in the mountains. They have Different types of seating arrangements. The interior is modern with a comfortable lighting scene and wrap around floor to ceiling windows. They also have a large patio with more seating. I also noticed a fire place and a Television outside. Aside from their great coffee and Tea menu, they offer daily pastries, refreshments, small bites and coffee bean bags to go. I had the Horchata Latté with oat milk (available hot or cold). It was really good. It is made with 2 shots of their signature espresso with a house-made horchata syrup or base, steamed or iced milk, and a dusting of cinnamon. You could taste the quality of the coffee. It was really good. The coffee was a little strong. The service was great and prices are average. I really enjoyed hanging out in their shop with friends. They have several locations. I highly recommend Moon Goat Coffee Roasters.

This place was packed with a bunch of people studying or hanging out and it just shows how nice and well liked this place is. The service was also good, a very chill staff. I think that for this area being close to UCI, it gets a lot of points for being a solid study spot with charging ports, a clean environment, and good tables. As far as their menu goes they have very interesting drink options which makes you want to come and try a lot of them! I definitely think this place is worth visiting.

The staff were very polite, friendly, and welcoming, and the customer service was excellent. I also really loved the interior design and the overall atmosphere of the cafe. We visited around 2:30 pm on a Tuesday and happened to arrive with no line, although a group of…read morearound 10 people showed up right after us. Parking is paid, but they provide validation for about an hour, which was helpful. We ordered the Hojicha Latte, which comes pre-sweetened and unfortunately can't be adjusted. The hojicha flavor itself was actually very strong and one of the better parts of the drink, but it was far too sweet for my preference. The sweetness overwhelmed a lot of that nice roasted tea flavor, and after one sip I knew I probably wouldn't finish it. We asked if anything could be adjusted, and the staff was very understanding. They offered to add more milk, but explained that it would also dilute the tea flavor. One of the employees later came after us and offered to replace it with a Matcha Latte, which I really appreciated. The Matcha Latte was noticeably less sweet, but unfortunately the matcha flavor was also much lighter than I prefer and mostly tasted like milk to me. I tend to like tea lattes with a strong, prominent matcha or hojicha flavor, so neither drink really worked for me. The staff handled everything very kindly and genuinely tried to accommodate us, so I have nothing negative to say about the service. I just wish the Hojicha Latte had an adjustable sweetness level and that the Matcha Latte had a stronger tea flavor. If you prefer sweeter or more milk-forward tea drinks, you may have a different experience, but personally I don't think I'd come back for the drinks.

Honestly disappointing, especially what appears to be good reviews of this place…read more The only positive factor I can remember is how much seating there is inside (lots of people just meeting up, working, etc). - You order on two available consoles, which you think would help with efficiency and workflow (it was pretty busy when I got there). However, it took my drink a while to come out. There was a sign above the consoles that indicate ETA of the drink. Based on the color I thought it would be a quick wait but it ended up taking 15 minutes. It seems like the coffee station, manned by one person it seems, was cranking out multiple drinks whereas the drink I got (matcha) took a long time - this is despite me being one of few matcha drinks ordered when I was waiting... - I noticed that as the barista was whisking my drink, she took the whisk out, took a look at the whisk then with her bare hands touched the tip of the whisk and reinserted it into the cup.. all without washing her hands or using gloves... I honestly wanted to say something but I was already in a rush and didn't want to make a scene at an already busy hour and the barista looked kind of frazzled already... - If you are hoping for a strong matcha, this isn't the place to go to. I got the blueberry matcha, which was a pale green in a color and it tasted like a premade mix of blueberry matcha.. although calling it matcha may be a bit generous as the drink just tasted like blueberry milk...Not sure if I'll be coming back.. not for matcha any way
