This Airoma location is local to me, so I come here pretty often. It can get surprisingly busy even on weekdays, but I've found that the earlier you go, the shorter the wait tends to be. Even when there's a line, the staff works incredibly fast and the quality has always been consistent. There's a huge parking lot, although it can get packed depending on the time. If the spots immediately around Airoma are full, don't be afraid to park farther into the plaza and walk over. The shop itself is pretty small for how busy it gets, with only a few tables inside, so I wouldn't necessarily count on finding a seat during peak hours. My go-to drinks are the Matcha Einspanner and Matcha Oat. If I'm in the mood for something a little sweeter and less of an everyday drink, the Matcha Pandan is amazing too. The drinks are a really generous size for the price, especially considering the quality. There were about 20 people in line and I ordered within 15 minutes, they get the drinks out to people efficiently. My favorites are the matcha pandan and the double matcha. I find most matcha spots too sweet, and it's the same here, so I go for 50% sweet or could go for even less. The pandan flavor is very prominent and complements their matcha well. The double matcha is a great choice if you want a very matcha forward drink. I personally didn't like the matcha einspanner much, but I know it's popular among my friends. I would skip on the blueberry matcha, I got the least sweet option for blueberry matcha (which might've been 70%?) and it was too sweet without strong enough for a blueberry flavor. I found this place while having lunch in the plaza. Such a cute hidden gem. Maybe not so hidden because there was a long line. That must be normal as they have a barrier to show where the line forms. There is only one cashier, but the drinks come out at a good pace. I ordered a matcha einspanner. The drink was delicious! The foam on top works well when mixing your drink. The matcha has a very earthy taste to it, which I love! Good amount of tables and chairs to enjoy your drinks, but since they were busy, people waited outside. By far the BEST banana coffee I've ever had. My bf and I stopped by since we were in the area and have been wanting to try it based on recommendation. I've been trying to find a good banana coffee and this is definitely the best I've had yet. Very strong banana taste, so I would highly recommend if you like banana. I get the hype! Airoma Cafe constantly ranks high on the list of best matcha spots in Southern California. The cafe is cute with a small number of interior tables. They are located in the same plaza as Brodard, Vox Kitchen, Rol Handbar, etc. in Fountain Valley. This location is open later than the other Airoma. They use ceremonial matcha which makes a huge difference. I ordered the strawberry matcha latte (74% sweet) after trying one previously in LA. I paid and waited for my order to be ready. After a few minutes, I received my order. I shook it up and tried it. Delicious! Even better than I remembered. My husband who doesn't usually enjoy matcha, tried it and liked it. My friend accidentally drove us to this location intending to go to the Garden Grove location, but it was a pleasant surprise to learn that they opened a second location here. I actually keep hoping that they open another location over near Cerritos/Artesia. There was a line leading outside of the building, but it moved pretty quickly. I am an airoma stan, will always love this spot. I came back after a while of not coming over to Orange County but I finally visited but now it looks a little bit different. The parking is outside in the parking lot so there's no problem there. The entire store is kind of open with only a small indoor seating area. It's now more of a pick up kind of place now with a line out the door and people waiting inside together their dreams. We sat inside for a couple hours to work with free Wi-Fi. The store gets very rowdy and very loud with a lot of people trying to fit into the tables. I couldn't wait til it died down so i left. The workers are super quick, efficient, and accommodating. The Double Matcha had an amazing, very strong tea taste. It's not too sweet, but it is on the sweeter side. The Matcha Cream Top is sweet and creamy, but is still very matcha heavy. The cup sizes at Airoma are super generous, at around 20 ounces. I personally think it's a great value, as my drink was around $8 with tax - I've paid the same at other cafés to only get a 16 or even 12 ounce drink.
