Stopped by for a quick bite and some matcha after seeing so many reviews, but sadly don't plan to return. KRISP is an interesting place in that it was very busy, but I didn't see a single person content with their order, and multiple people coming to the counter to address issues they had with their order (myself included). The staff are nice, but they definitely seemed overwhelmed and on their back foot trying to keep up with everyone. They use a digital kiosk for ordering which can be convenient, but is frustrating to use when you find out that the things you ordered are out of stock after you've paid and waited for the items (which happened to me). The shop itself has indoor and outdoor seating, but the layout makes the entrance get congested because you're picking up your order where people are entering which isn't ideal. On the food and beverage front, we tried a bunch of stuff: Blueberry Matcha and Strawberry Matcha: The blueberry matcha is extremely sweet (they said it's their sweetest matcha), and the strawberry matcha isn't far behind that. My biggest issue is their matches are all pre-sweetened, so you can't even adjust the sweetness because it's in their matcha already. The term "organic ceremonial grade Uji matcha" should have never been used for pre-sweetened matcha like this, because it was a disgrace to the term. KRISP Breakfast Burrito: These burritos are pre-made and delivered by a third party and then nuked in a microwave before serving. It's the same thing you'd get at most other coffee shops (ie Alfred). The red salsa it comes with is great though, but the burrito is just fine considering what it is. Almond Croissant: oh man I really wanted to like this, especially since I saw how much almond filling they used. Unfortunately the filling was completely bland, so there wasn't much almond going on with this. Ham & Cheese Croissant: This was also bland, and looked like someone had stepped on it. Just a real sad state of affairs. Berry Orchard Açaí Bowl: Probably the best thing we got, but I hate how they serve it in one of those parfait cups because all the contents keeps spilling out as you eat it. I wish it was in an actual bowl so you can eat it without losing half the toppings to the ground. Overall, I don't see a reason to come back here, and really don't think it's worth the cost given the quality of everything. As others have said, there's a lot of solid options in the area that deserve your patronage over this place.

After looking for some options for places to study I ended up choosing this place. It was pretty crowded on a Friday afternoon but I was able to snag a seat near window. There were a good amount of plugs so that I can charge my devices. The place was cute and the music wasn't too loud. Parking can get a bit hard since there's so many stores and not much parking. I got the blueberry matcha and I would say it was not bad, although not my favorite. The matcha was on the grassy side but the notes of blueberry were definitely there. I would be down to try their other drinks next time if I ever wanted to come back and study!

Ordering was super easy thanks to the screens, which show clear pictures and descriptions of each coffee -- a nice touch, especially if you like to know exactly what you're getting. Even though it was the weekend, service was fast and efficient. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and ready to help if you had any questions. I ordered a regular iced vanilla latte with oat milk and it was so good I drank it before I even left the parking lot. My friend got the black sesame latte, and that was also delicious -- definitely worth trying. We'll for sure be back!
I've made it my goal to try the strawberry matcha at every new coffee spot I visit. Krisp, you nailed it. I loved the strawberry puree bottom, not too sweet and blended so well with the matcha. There's a kiosk at the front where you can order for yourself and a gal was there ready to help with any questions etc when it came to ordering. Service was quick, mind you it was still early enough that we weren't hit with so many people. There's plenty of seating, lighting is great, parking in this area can get crazy as there are many popular retails/restaurants, so I'd say come early! Looking forward to trying more of their other drinks, as they all look pretty enticing.

The space is amazing for studying but my friend and I got here about 10 minutes after they opened so the parking wasn't bad and there were still a lot of available tables. They filled up pretty quick though with most tables being full around 10 AM. I got the blueberry matcha and my friend for the white macadamia oat latte. She really liked her drink and rated it highly but my blueberry matcha was a bit disappointing. There was no matcha flavor and it just tasted like a sweet blueberry milk. The drink wasn't bad. If I didn't know it was matcha, I was enjoy it as a sweet blueberry drink. I do want to come back to try their black sesame or honey cinnamon latte though! Maybe they just don't do matcha super well.
KRISP always comes through with the strong flavors. I got an iced white macadamia seasonal latte and even after the ice started melting you can taste the macadamia. There isn't a lot of seating but if you come around opening you'll be able to have your pick of tables + parking is easier. They have free wifi and a cozy playlist - perfect for a study sesh!
Do you remember those BUTTER RUM Lifesavers your Grandma used to give you? Or those BUTTER RUM stick candies at the drug store? Maybe I'm older than you but those were the best! Imagine those candies in a creamy coffee! I got an iced BUTTER RUM TOFFEE COFFEE and it was delicious. Reminded me of those candies. I can't wait to come back and have it again. I got mine with Oat Milk. YUMMY!

Parking can get tricky because the plaza gets busy depending on time of day. The inside is modern with lots of seating indoors and outdoors. There are 2 self order kiosks. Gets pretty busy in the morning and during lunch hour as it's surrounded by businesses. I appreciate that they have a sign that indicates anticipated wait times. Staff are always super friendly. White Macadamia Oat Latte 10/10 - I love this drink. I think the flavor combo goes really well together and theirs has the perfect balance of white chocolate and macadamia nut. Other places lean more towards one of the flavors, but Krisp does it right. It's definitely on the sweeter side which is my preference so keep that in mind if you don't like your drinks as sweet.
Words can't describe how good their sea salt coffee is. It is so good. Additionally, the place is a super good study spot. They are always playing super relaxing jazz music that puts me in a locked in mood. The workers are also super chill and don't bother you. Writing this review makes me want to go drive over right now.
I was excited to try the morning burrito but honestly I was so disappointed by it :( the burrito itself was toasted so the outside was warmed, but the inside was still so so cold. The tater tots tasted stale probably because it was premade. The green sauce that it came with was delicious I just wish the burrito was more fresh. Edit: The owner reached out and messaged trying to get my info for a refund but nothing has happened since I responded in over a week :(

Love this place - 2 minutes away from my work. Was craving a juice for lunch so I got the. RAW Juicery "Red Cure" which consisted of: cucumber, apple, extra ginger, lemon & cilantro. They also have other juices, but this is what I wanted. They also have coffees, teas, hot foods, etc. Service was friendly, quick and they also have kiosks which I used. KRISP was highly recommended to me by a coworker - especially their matcha. The place itself is very busy and the vibe feels like it's very college student friendly. I will have to say that their menu looked so appetizing but fell short. Their KRISP burrito was basically a super hard tortilla - not crisp, HARD and stiff - with very oily contents. Obviously, a breakfast burrito is going to have oil, but it was a bit much considering it was dripping out the whole time. I couldn't finish eating it. The matcha was pretty good but I think their food was such letdown so I wouldn't make the 30-40 min commute through traffic. read more

Lots of parking Inside has lots of room to study, eat, catch up as well as the outside. I got the pandan iced matcha latte with an açaí bowl And my friend got the matcha strawberry iced ! The pandan matcha was so good!! I've never tried that before in matcha and was pleased! The matcha had a good strong earthy flavor with the pandan flavor also carrying through The açaí bowl was refreshing and perfect in flavor! I stopped at Krisp Coffee in Irvine with a buddy last minute and this place completely caught me off guard. I was not expecting it to have one of the best strawberry matchas I have had and honestly I think it is better than some of my favorite spots like Caffe in Coffee and Daydream Coffee. The matcha was smooth and not bitter at all and the strawberry syrup was the perfect balance. Not too sweet, not overpowering, and just the right mix of creaminess, strawberry flavor, matcha, and ice. I downed the whole thing in seconds and have been raving about it ever since to my other matcha friends. Everyone who has tried it so far agrees this place makes some bomb matcha. Definitely a new go to spot for me in Irvine. Staff was super sweet as well and the place has a very modern and vibey feel to it! I ordered the matcha and the description said sweetness is set so I gave it a try. I also had an option for an extra scoop of matcha, which I accepted gleefully. The drink was a little too sweet for me but I just have a low tolerance. I ordered online and was given a time. Order was ready when I arrived. Parking is easy during non peak time. Casual. KRISP fresh living is definitely fresh living with acai bowls, coffee, and smoothies, there's a sense of clean satisfaction in the menu and service. Now that said, I had two drinks, the banana latte and the sweet corn matcha. Banana latte: I have given this place 4 stars because honestly the banana latte, specifically the espresso, was not exactly what I was expecting. It could have been the specific coffee I ordered, but it was medium good. Nothing special and didn't really get that banana flavor I was expecting. That said this place gets a 4 because they introduced me to sweet corn matcha and they do it beautifully! Sweet Corn matcha: This drink tastes like a matcha cornbread and something I would never have expected, but was amazing. I was able to see it being made and a scoop of fresh corn was added to my matcha and I was pleasantly surprised. This drink was a combo I loved and the sweet corn bits really made it. This place leans into providing a completely anonymous experience. The quality is ok, but when combined with the inability to make modifications and an inattentive staff, it's hard to justify. Sometimes they let you substitute Acai for Pitaya in the Coca Bliss bowl and other times, they arbitrarily say no. They also use a small cup, which leads to spilled toppings. If you enjoy ordering from a vending machine, this is place. However, if you're looking for friendly service or attention to detail, be prepared for a letdown. read more

They require you to sign in for pick up, like how you check in at the doctor's office. Only AFTER you check in will they put your order in the queue. I was told that this is because I had a pastry item - they do not make pastry orders until after the customer shows up and check in. I appreciate the concept. The problem is, even at that point, the order just goes into the queue because there are other orders in line. So today I stood there, waited 5 minutes before someone looked at the sign-in sheet to acknowledge my presence, then another 6-7 minute before they finished other orders and worked on mine, a few minutes to finish my order, and another 5 minute to explain to me to NOT order from DoorDash because DoorDash charges more. But regardless of where you order, you still need to check in in order for your order to get in the queue. I was late to my meeting today because of all this chaos. What a mess... read more
Came back & they have yet to disappoint me! I tried their blueberry matcha which had the perfect balance between the two flavors. Not sure if they use an artificial syrup for the blueberry but it tasted so yum that i would've even care. And the matcha was still strong which is exactly what i wanted, hence the extra scoop of matcha! Yummy breakfast burrito but salsa was kinda watery. I eat a smoothie bowl every day so I'm a harsh critic and this one is gas. Usually the toppings are my fav part but the actual smoothie base was so scrumptious I will definitely be back and ordering a 32 oz. It's an order via screen place but the staff is super friendly & helpful, we had 2 people check to see if we needed anything while ordering. It's not huge inside so wouldn't recommend as a work spot but there were plenty of tables at the trade hall right around the corner read more

I was in town for a conference and need a cup of coffee. Been avoiding SB lately and trying to support more local businesses. I stopped by on a Thursday morning and it was bustling busy! All the inside tables were taken, people standing around for their orders and some outdoor tables also were taken. That's always a good first sign! You place your order with the kiosk and then wait around for your order. I ordered a breakfast burrito and butter rum coffee. The burrito came out first after maybe 10 mins. It burrito was big, the ingredients were very flavorful and it was so good! I was only able to eat half and saved the second half for later. As for the coffee, it took another maybe 15 mins to come out. The coffee was good but maybe needed a little more sweetener? I would come back and perhaps order when I had a little more time on my hands. Perhaps they were backed up due to the morning rush? But if you're in a hurry and it's morning, this isn't the place to go for a coffee break or breakfast. I would come back and I recommend you to try them out! read more
I really like KRISP! They have solid matcha drinks specifically their blueberry matcha! Their acai bowls and hot foods are also good when you're craving a snack during your work session. I like the ambiance of KRISP! You're lucky if you get a table inside because it gets pretty busy read more

Overall (3/5) A dependable study spot with decent matcha, but nothing that stands out flavor wise. First Impressions (4/5) Cafe style setup in Irvine that feels designed for people staying awhile. What We Got (3.5/5) Matcha latte. Taste and Quality (3.5/5) The mouthfeel is on the watery side, but still a step above Starbucks in overall balance. Service (4/5) Straightforward and smooth. Space and Atmosphere (4/5) Comfortable seating and a calm environment. Study Spot (4/5) Great when the wifi works, which is unfortunately inconsistent. Was It Worth It (4/5) Fair pricing for what you get. Final Thoughts (3/5) Exactly average. read more

I used to live by here and would go pretty often. Aside from how busy it gets and how long it sometimes takes to get your order, I am a fan of how high quality their food and drinks are. My husband usually gets their cacao bliss açaí bowl and I like to try their speciality lattes. I'm a fan of how diverse their menu is and how many specialty lattes and matchas they offer. A fave of mine is the Nutella Madeline and I love the chicken tarragon croissant sandwich. The interior is very clean and well decorated and the parking lot is fairly small. Depending on the time of day, you may not find parking at all. Overall, I will keep coming here but I do recommend ordering online ahead of time! read more

This might be one of my favorite matchas of all time! The flavors are really smooth and they always add a decent amount of cream top when I order it. There's just enough sweetness in the drink too. The avocado toast with strawberries and truffle was also really interesting but not my personal favorite. I just don't think I liked the truffle with the rest of the toast. Service is always really pleasant and they also offer a great study space, but that's only if you can find a spot since it gets pretty busy in the afternoons. read more

As a lover of cute cafes, and a matcha fanatic, I'm a bit embarrassed it has taken me this long to discover Krisp Fresh Cafe. I went with a friend for a little mid morning snack, and was so impressed by how much they lived up to the online hype. I really wanted to order a bit of everything on their menu - it all sounded so good it was hard to choose! We also went at a less busy time, so while I've read it can get crowded during peak hours, it would have been a perfect study/work spot at 10 in the morning the week before Christmas. I decided on the Truffle Honey Avocado Toast, which I really enjoyed. The flavor profile was really deep, with only a hit of honey, and the main notes being the truffle oil. The bread was amazing - it was a whole grain slice that was just perfectly crispy, and soft in the middle. Overall, the flavors came together beautifully, and it was much more savory than I had expected (not so much a sweet snack). I tend to prefer less sweet drinks, so I opted for a coffee with customizable sweetness levels, the iced americano with sea salt cold foam. I am a fanatic for all things cold foam and this was no different. It was exactly what I was hoping for, and I was glad I ordered the less sweet version, because the coffee was strong and flavorful on its own, with a hint of sweetness and creaminess from the foam. For a sweeter option, my friend agreed with the love we've seen in reviews of the blueberry matcha! The ONLY reason I don't see myself becoming a regular here is the prices. That is to be expected given the quality of food and drinks that Krisp Fresh serves, but unfortunately I do not have the budget to pay $20 every time I'm craving a coffee and avocado toast. I absolutely do think it is worth the cost, just beware that it can get pricey, and may be better suited for an every-once-in-a-while treat if your budget is limited like mine :) Also, from previous experience in this shopping center, the parking lot can be a bit of a nightmare, so come prepared to wait for a spot, or park and walk from nearby. In summary, I loved Krisp Fresh Cafe. From the, modern, plant covered walls, to the convenience of ordering and the openness of the staff on wait times, etc, they really stand out to me among cafes in the area. I will definitely be back, at the very least to try more of their incredible menu! read more

After visiting this coffee shop throughout the year, I will say it's one of my favorite coffee places. I studied here recently; they have limited space but the only thing I really noticed is the loud sound of the door when it opens and closes; it makes it difficult to concentrate. I will always get their chicken croissant sandwich, it really is my favorite. I've been trying different drinks and getting decaf, and they have a great selection. I really like the Nutella Madeline latte. The parking says 90 minutes but I have parked there for 3 hours and did not get a ticket, so that was cool. read more

First time going there. It was busy and was pretty confusing. Went during the afternoon. They want you to order by the computer only. Luckily there was a girl that could answer my questions about the drinks Ordered the honey cinnamon latte with oat milk. I was unable to customize how sweet it was. The drink was pretty good though. Went there again in the morning. The gentleman that was working that morning probably had a bad morning. Super unfriendly and looked overwhelmed. I ordered my drink online and was confused where my drink was. Gave enough time to pick it up (about 15mins). I still had to wait for my drink which he took out from the fridge. Either way you order at the store or order online, there is still a wait. The honey cinnamon latte is really good. This is the only reason why I would come back. read more

Hi Denise, we use a blend of Guatemala and Ethiopia coffee beans in our espresso drinks.
Are we able to order a latte without any espresso? (sadly I can't even have decaf :( )
Do they have decaf espresso available for the lattes?
Yes, we have both regular and decaf espresso.
Do you accept cash payments as well? I try not to rely on credit cards otherwise small spendings add up.
They refused to accept cash even though it was exact with no change needed.
