I was delighted to find my dress on my first ever day out shopping! I was worried about trying on dresses as a plus size woman, but Sandra made my whole experience wonderful! They had lots of options in every size and I ended up trying on 9 dresses and bought my second dress from Maggie Sottero. The prices were great and the store was beautiful and calming. I expected to pay $600-1000 or more and bought my dress off the rack for $400. Don't be afraid of having to make a reservation, it's worth it to have the store quiet and peaceful. Mariposa is a future brides dream! The boutique is beautiful and the staff is so warm and welcoming! Currently due to covid they are limiting two guests max per pride. They also request hand sanitation before entering and taking temperatures. The bride is allowed to walk show room but guests of the bride are requested to stay seated. My bridal consultant was Coral. I can not say enough about her! She's been at Mariposa for 11 years and to say the least she definitely knows what she is doing! She picked some beautiful styles for myself and designs I thought to never try and ended up loving! I went in with an idea of a long sleeve and ended up picking out something totally different! I said "yes, to the dress" at Mariposa and couldn't have done it without the help of Coral! Tip: plan accordingly it can take up to 6 months for your dress to arrive. There is a $150 charge for a rush but not sure the details. They do give the option for guests to pay 60% of the balance and the remainder 30 days before pickup. Otherwise it is preferred to pay total balance at time of signing contract. They also have great recommendations for alterations and contacts for friar tux. Appointments are also required. read more

Found Mariposa on Instagram. Booked my very first dress shopping appointment for a month after getting engaged. Went in with some general ideas of things I liked in dresses and one dress that I knew they had that I liked. From the moment we came in, Audrey (my consultant) made this experience the very best I could have asked for. After explaining the layout of the dresses, me, my sister, and my mom went around to look for dresses for me to try on. The dresses here are all so pretty and there is a great selection of styles (sparkles, lace, beading, satin, tulle, you name it!). Once we selected a few dresses, Audrey got me set up in my dressing room and we started trying on dresses. She did an amazing job pulling different styles for me to find exactly what I wanted. I felt so special the whole time. Once I put on MY dress, I knew it instantly. Audrey grabbed the perfect veil (so perfect I knew I needed to buy it, too) and completed my bridal look. I couldn't say "yes" to the dress fast enough. I cannot recommend Mariposa for your bridal shopping more. If you had asked me for my review back in June, it would've been 5. But after this entire experience, it's a 1 at best. While the staff IS very nice - quite literally, they made me feel so special during my fitting - the shops management and communication skills are severely lacking. I have empathy for the fact that they're probably busy and there are only so many people working at a time, but there's no excuse for all the hiccups I experienced along the way. Went in for my fitting in June and fell in love with my dress - ordered it the very same day. Was originally told that it would be here in December 2023 - my wedding is 2/2/24. A few months went by and I called them in October or November for an update - not only was my wedding date WRONG in their system, but now the eta was moved to January. I asked them if I would have enough time to alter and they said I would have "more than enough time". Cut to mid-December: called them repeatedly over the span of a couple weeks for an update with no response. They finally got back to me December 15 saying that they were expecting to have my dress by early January. I let a couple weeks pass and tried calling for an update again as we were nearing the end of the month - you would think that the dress would be on the way by that point. Early January: 2 weeks of calling and emailing (on my part) were made with NO RESPONSE. That is until I got fed up and started to spam their Instagram comments begging for a response. On January 8, they responded saying that the dress was expected to ship out that week and they would call me as soon as it came in. A week passes with NO update or tracking number. I get a call on 1/17 saying that the tracking number was finally created - it was only made that day, over a week later than it was supposed to ship out. Normally I would be fine with the quick turnaround time, but my wedding is on FEBRUARY 2nd. And then bam - the dress gets held up by the massive winter storm and it's stuck in Tennessee. Eta is tbd. I went into the shop on 1/19 (only 2 weeks out from my wedding!) and requested the floor sample so I could just alter that. They gave it to me with only 30% off. Personally I think I deserved so much more considering that it was the floor sample and the stress was killing me. So now here I am - 9 days away from my wedding. Going into my first fitting tomorrow with my TAILOR - because all of the bridal seamstresses I called said they would not have enough time to alter my dress. And my original order is finally on its way to the shop... If I could go back months ago, I would tell myself to run. read more

Absolutely the place to go ! The experience was beyond amazing . I came in with 4 of my besties and were immediately greeted by Cora who offered us water. The sit down area is so modern and classy , an elegant blue. My besties and I got to browse and pull some dresses. Which was such a happy memory . I had my appointment with Audrey who was fabulous! She totally got my style and even threw in some options I never thought of ! They have a wide selection of dresses and they have expedited shipping if needed. The boutique only has one large mirror and a back mirror wall, so you would have to share it on a busy day . Luckily I had the place to myself. Yes to both! I was dreading walking into a bridal boutique to find dresses that didn't fit my body so I was really nervous to embark on this journey of finding THE DRESS. I walked in and met Tiana, who is an angel dressed in all black. She greeted me and my family, asked about my preferences and gave us free reign on the store as well as picked dresses based on my feedback. Coral and Tiana are literally the best ladies to help me find my dress! Coral was so kind and sweet during my first visit back in Nov 2022. I went by myself to get a feel for what types of dresses and what was more flattering for my body type. Coral assisted me and picked a couple of great choices along with something a little different since I was being open. She was very patient and provided a lot of great suggestions and tips. I kept her tips in mind while looking at other wedding shops but there was nothing I could find so I emailed Coral a few weeks later with a style in mind and she was so quick and informative with 3 choices so I came back for a second appointment. I had tried out one other boutique in the OC and it did not even compare. The customer service and sizing here is impeccable. I am usually a dress size 10/12 and was able to fit in all the dresses I wanted to try on here. At other places, they do not have similar sizing so when you try on their dresses it is hard to picture how you would look in it when it actually fits. Going dress shopping at a place that isn't all inclusive in sizing doesn't make a bride feel good. I was very happy to see how size inclusive Mariposa is.
