Just love this place. Beautiful restaurant, perfect service, delicious food. The popovers are simply the best ever. We wanted more, but resisted. The lobster roll was fresh and so scrumptious, as were the tuna tacos. So comfortable and pleasant - what a great place for lunch.

It's a great place to do a solo lunch or lunch with friends. Was happy to see that service and food remains excellent despite Pandemic reset. The popover and consume also continue to be a part of the lunch. The day I went, I was solo dining and aside from enjoying my lunch,(which I usually bring part home) I also enjoyed seeing others meeting again in such a civilized and cheerful place. I ordered the Chicken Salad Orange Souffle Plate, perfect! Continued best wishes to all the staff!

    Burger and fries....it was good!

I was very pleasantly surprised by Mariposa. It's a family favorite for my girlfriend so she wanted to go on our day off. Only 2 other people there . Well done decor. Servers were really nice, responsive and helpful. The meal starts with fresh popovers and strawberry butter seriously happy, and then an amazing cup of chicken consommé that was incredibly full flavored and completely clear....skills here. I had the burger and fries, both of which were done very well and the burger was perfectly cooked, fries were great too. She had the roasted turkey Panini made with thinly sliced house roasted turkey, with house chips. Another perfectly done sandwich, and the chips were very good. Carrot cake to finish that was a bit too much frosting for me, but not overly done, and the cake and frosting were very good. The bottle of Veuve we split made for a perfect lunch before a relaxed walk down the Mag Mile :)

I reserved a lunch table for one on Open Table and arrived at 11:30. I enjoyed complementary chicken consomme (courtesy of the chef), a popover and strawberry butter, a small pot of tea and steak frites with a substituted salad for the fries. My check was $34.57. Food was great. My server, Adrian, was attentive and prompt. Bussing is on point. Lovely decor. I wish the view were more romantic. But this was a good experience and price was not too crazy. Recommended!

This is my favorite Neiman Marcus restaurant. The view is great because it's on the top floor of the Neimans on Michigan Ave. The staff is amazing. They are so polite and efficient. The best part is obviously the food. It's all extremely fresh and great quality. Each meal starts with popovers and broth, both very refreshing. My favorites include the grilled shrimp salad, Tuscan turkey sandwich, and chicken paillard.

The amazing carrot cake at Mariposa; seriously, folks, four people could easily share this!

I recently lunched at Mariposa with clients; it was not my first time here, but it was, as ever, wonderful. The décor is tranquil and modern, in soft, warm neutrals; the gents is very handsomely fitted with greys and tobacco browns. The service was excellent, throughout; our waitress, Jessica, was attentive, polite, friendly, and courteous. She took very good care of my clients, and made sure my water glass was always filled. I like to drink water, so this is very important to me. I ordered the steak frites and they arrived perfectly cooked, piping hot, with spinach. I asked for some Dijon mustard and it came with the meal, but on the side (which was very nice). In France, of course, they call it 'moutarde traditionelle' which means, essentially, 'traditional mustard'. They're not kidding, either. Now, I love spinach. It's so yummy. I should have liked a bit more, but that's just me. I love spinach! If I may suggest...some creamed spinach, as an option? Just a suggestion, of course. Luncheon begins with a small cup (too small, in my opinion) of very good, very hot chicken broth, served in a demitasse. Oh, it was so delicious! I love home-made broth; this was a big 'plus' for me! Now, about the dessert. Oh, baby. Oh, baby, baby, how was I supposed to know.... Hit me baby one more time! Sing it, girlfriend! We ordered a piece (one!) of carrot cake and hot diggity dog! It was ENORMOUS and DELICIOUS! Yeah baby yeah! Here's a helpful tip: One serving will easily accommodate four persons. Really. I mean that, sincerely. NO ONE can eat a serving of this cake, alone. Well, I suppose they could, but.... The coffee was also very good, strong and hot, just the way I like it. (don't go there) I love this restaurant. Don't let any tourists in.

The mister and I are always down for a Socialite Babe lunch, and this is the perfect spot. Service--from beginning to end--is top notch. The interior is bright and stylish with Calder tapestries flanking the walls. Yummy, strong cocktails. Beautifully prepared and flavorful food. If breakfast is at Tiffany's...lunch is at Neiman Marcus!

Great food to be in a department store. High end healthy food, great portion sizes for the health conscious. Great place for lunch.

It's also decorated with a gorgeous Christmas tree for the holidays. Very relaxed vibe and some TVs showing sports too. Lots of seating options. Luis has taken care of my table a few times and he's fantastic! He provides excellent service. I love the brownie. Bertha's brownie is a must try. Bertha Palmer actually invented the brownie in the late 19th century and they keep her signature recipe. It's so delicious!! Made with lots of butter. The cherry sauce with it is so good too. The drinks are delicious! During the holiday season, I enjoyed the Meet Me At Midnight, Cheer Spritz (mocktail), and the Vanilla Chai White Russian. All were amazing but wow, the chai White Russian was so good and beautifully presented. I love meeting friends for drinks here. We got there around 8am on 06/18/26 and the place was kind of empty. We stood for awhile waiting to be seated. Finally a lady said she would take us to a table but that they were all dirty. We kind of looked at each other puzzled. She kept mentioning that they were dirty and weren't cleaned yet but seated us at a high top that hadn't been cleaned and tried to clean it herself. We wanted a window seat so we accepted it. It seemed fine after she cleaned it. It was just a strange way to bring us into the restaurant before the tables were cleaned. We could have stood by the door and waited some more. But the service and food were very good! Our server was Jose, who was excellent while checking on us several times to make sure everything was good. The vanilla latte that he recommended was delicious! I ordered the 3 Egg Ham 'n Cheese Omelet with mushrooms and my daughter had the Eggs Benedict. Both were cooked perfectly and seasoned correctly. Yummy! For dessert, we shared the delicious Cinnamon Roll Waffle, made perfectly, of course. We were surprised when we received our check, which was $92 for breakfast plus 20% tip. Anywhere else It would be around $65 but we were here on vacation. We were in Chicago for another 5 days but we did not come back here. There were many other breakfast places on the Riverfront that were equally good and much less expensive. My rating was 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 stars.
