Stopped by this spot after church after seeing all the great reviews on Yelp, so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, they weren't too busy--only about three other tables--so we were seated right away. The staff was friendly, helpful, and very attentive, which made the dining experience even better. They bring out chips and salsa to start, and they were so good--the salsa had great flavor and the chips were warm and fresh. I ordered the battered fish tacos and shared with my husband; they were really tasty, crispy, and flavorful, and the rice and beans were solid. My daughter got the cheese enchilada, and the sauce had good flavor. The tacos de al pastor were my favorite--full of flavor--and my husband enjoyed his chicken tacos. My son ordered the burrito; he wasn't a fan of the green salsa on it, but he did like the meat inside. Overall, this is a great spot with excellent staff and quick service. We stopped in here this morning on a wet, rainy, cold day. We were the only table. We were greeted immediately and given complementary chips and salsa which were tasty. It appears to be a family run restaurant. We both ordered Chilaquiles Verdes. My husband had the ribeye with his. I had mine plain with eggs. It was delicious. She brought 4 different kinds of salsa to the table. All of them were great. My husband was repeatedly asked if he wanted coffee refills. Excellent food & service. Came with my wife yesterday on a cold & rainy day. It was nice & inviting inside. The staff was very friendly. We both had the chilaquiles with my eggs over easy & also had the ribeye steak added & man! Was it good!!! I have my favorite spots for chilaquiles which were just two! But now I can say I added a third one!!! I had there coffee to go along with it & good thing because the salsa I added was delicious but had a good kick! Anyways they serve you the coffee with some cookie similar to the ones my grandma would give us as kids with instant coffee best memories!!! Delicious! I had three carne asada tacos and my husband had tacos monarca and both were perfect. Their chips and salsa were both delicious too. Service was super friendly with festive Mexican music played overhead, but not so loud that we couldn't hear one another. read more

Pictures don't do this place justice! Authenticity from the moment the chips and salsa hit the table. Salsa was delicious with the perfect spice. Chilaquiles were nothing short of tasty and chorizo sopes were flavorful. They give you a variety of 3 salsas on the side (delish). Their horchata *chefs kiss* imo absolutely how it's supposed to authentically taste! Idk what the ladies in the back be putting in this food but they cheffin it up. Service could not have been the same without Rosa! Her recommendations and sweet service was the cherry on top of this visit. Sadly don't live near here but if ever in the area this is the go to. I would have taken more aesthetically pleasing photos but I was hungry. Bathrooms are impeccably clean as well as the restaurant itself. Cutest little bar section. Pleasant experience! read more

I heard that this restaurant opened on Next Door. (I don't usually look at Next Door because everyone on there just seems to complain!) When I looked up the address, I realized it is a block from where I live! I was excited to give it a try. It has been a few different restaurants since I've lived here. I hope this one lasts! I went in one evening, when my roommate wasn't around. I walked in to an open floor plan with several booths along the wall. There is a bar type area in the back corner. Decor is minimal, but I love the tile work on the walls. I was greeted by a waitress whom I know from a different restaurant. She's super sweet and pretty. She gave me some recommendations. Not knowing about portion sizes, I ended up ordering the enchiladas verdes (cheese) and a fish ceviche tostada. I don't normally eat chips and salsa, as I don't need the extra carbs and don't want to fill up before my dinner, but the salsa was phenomenal. Chips are super crisp and not too salty. The ceviche was very fresh, citrusy, and plentiful. Is could have been happy with just that as my dinner! The enchilada plate was bigger than I expected. Three enchiladas in a nice green sauce. The sauce wasn't quite what I expected, but it was delicious. Beans are mighty tasty. Rice is fine. The menu (at that time) had a side panel with items that are only available on weekends. I was disappointed because I saw chilaquhe iles. I was told that I can get many of those items during the week, if they have the ingredients to make them. I was happy to hear that. A few weeks later, I go with my roommate. He got a torta that he loved. I got the chilaquiles and added carne asada. The nechilaquiles, which I ordered with green sauce, were so flavorful. This was more like the tomatillo type sauce that I was hoping for. The carne asada was added on top, chopped up. It had a great savory, meaty flavor. A few weeks after that, I came back for the chilaquiles. I noticed that the menu had changed a little, with a slight increase in prices. The new prices are still reasonable, especially considering the portions. Again, I asked for the chilaquiles with carne asada, but I wanted the egg, too. Perfectly scrambled eggs on top, with two large carne asada steaks. The dinner was huge and delicious. I'm so happy that they are so close to me. I plan on being a regular. read more

This is an amazing spot! A relatively new restaurant I believe they have been open just over a year. The food is absolutely delicious. Very fresh and prepared perfectly. The salsa is some of the best in town. Every thing we have tried has been way beyond expectations. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with weekend specials - not one disappointment. Went to Monarca Mexican restaurant for the first time on Thursday 8/28 for lunch and had a great dining experience. We ordered the mixed fajitas plate and a shredded beef taco, which were so delicious with the complimentary daily homemade salsa and chips. We even talked to the staff and they convinced us to come back on the weekend to try items on the menu which had carnitas tacos, menudo and other items not on their daily menu. We went back today 8/30 around 2:00 pm but the carnitas was sold out. We ordered the Birria plate, an asada taco and a chicken taco. We were disappointed of no carnitas but we enjoyed our food, salsa and chips. read more

New restaurant just opened four days ago. My wife and I ordered the carne asada burritos. At first glance they appeared smaller than we were used to however, we soon realized how packed with meat they were. Everything was prepared fresh and authentic. Wanted to try this place with close friends for dinner, but the live music was the loudest I've ever heard. It's a small place and they had it blaring! Literal hurt my ears! Band didn't care though. I tried out this restaurant the other day and was impressed overall. There were not a lot of people there so it was pretty quiet. The service was good, the food was tasty. They have amazing salsas. There were three salsas served with the meal in syrup jars so it was nice and easy to pour plus the salsa with the chips was a different type of salsa as well and was delicious. I think they are still pretty new to the area so this is not a huge negative but they seemed to be lacking some of the things you would expect like ice tea, lemonade and they were not able to slice up a fresh jalapeno to add to my burrito.
