Our waiter was very helpful he suggested us to do the twofer. We did 1 pound of the ez peel shrimp and 1 pound of mussels and we added 2 lobster tails in the house sauce medium spicy. It starts with an interesting sweetness and then the spicy kicks in. Also this is the first time I've ever seen eggs in the bag without having to request it. So bomb. The owner and staff were extremely friendly and cooked that food with their soul. The owner's crazy sauce is so good! We made our own bag and chose the medium Crazy sauce flavor which had a sweet and spicy kick to it. Don't let the price scare you, they aren't stingy with their servings and you definitely get some QUALITY AND QUANTITY! Seafood boil is expensive everywhere, but at least here ITS WORTH, trust. Came in here for some dinner after a search in the desert valley. Took a second to find it in the shopping center as it was a little hidden. After review of the menu and a couple pointers on what was is in and out of season I decided to build my own. I went with 1lb of peeled shrimp, 2 lbs of clams, and snow crab 1lb with sausage potatoes and corn. I did the house sauce and made it hot. Food was good especially with the clams and they definitely did not skimp on weight. Food was piping hot and flavors were really good. The only complaint I would have was the snow crab was cooked a little too long but other than that everything was solid. Service was very attentive and always filled my ice tea up without letting it get below the half way point. Was craving a Seafood Boil and my coworkers recommended this place. The outside wasn't really inviting. Inside had dem lighting. We came in RIGHT when they opened. We were the first ones there. We were seated immediately and ordered immediately. Basic drink menu. I got the build your own with shrimp head on, corn, eggs, and potatoes with the house sauce. My coworker got shrimp and crab legs I believe with garlic sauce and clam chowder. They prepared me the wrong order at first, they gave me crab but I'm allergic so they had to remake it, definitely made sure they remade the shrimp and didn't just pick it out of the bag the crab legs was in. The food was delivered to us BY A ROBOT. I thought that was so freaking cool. The food was really good. Like really good. We saw the special combination of 2 for $40 through an ad on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Not too busy and 2 staff members working the tables, both very friendly. The 2 for $40 special allows you 2 lbs proteins, 4 pieces of sausage, 2 corn, 2 potatoes, and 2 eggs. We got the crawfish and shrimp and then added an additional lb of mussels to our bag totalling, $56. If you looked at the regular menu prices, you'll notice you save just a couple dollars so not the biggest deal that we had originally thought. Ordered hot and the house special 'crazy claw' sauce. We also ordered the michelada which arrived very quickly. The michelada was light and the 2 shrimp were chilled. Large size but easy to drink since it was mostly beer. Our food came on an adorable cat robot. We put on the bibs and gloves, then got to work. All the proteins were a really good size. My favorite were the mussels - super meaty and not sandy. The sauce started tasty seeing chunks of the garlic on there, but after you got past the top layer, it was all mainly butter and not coating the items in the bag as well. I wish it was thicker. Spice level was very manageable with only a slight kick that lingered to a 5-6 out of 10 by the end of the meal. read more

We found out about Mr. Claws via a great review on a social media site. Since some of our friends saw the same review, so we decided to try out this restaurant. We arrived shortly before they opened last Saturday, so once they opened there was no wait and we were seated right away. We enjoyed the warm, friendly, personalized and courteous service throughout our visit. At one point while we were dining, the owner "Kit" came to our table and socialized with us. Kit is a very nice and friendly man and he spoke to our party like we were good close friends. I really always enjoy going to a restaurant and the owner comes out to talk with me/us. I really enjoyed their menu, as it was easy to read and quickly see all of the offerings. They give you a lot to choose from, but you don't have to read through a multi-page menu trying to decide what to order. Also, this restaurant has a delightful robot that comes out to serve your food, which was very entertaining to watch while we dined. This was a pleasant added bonus! We ended up ordering the Coconut Shrimp for our appetizer, and it was simply AWESOME! This has been the best Coconut Shrimp I have ever had here in Coachella Valley. We had the Fish & Chips for our entree, and it was simply amazing! For what we got (the large portions), the prices were almost unbelievably low. Best of all, all of our seafood was fresh. Overall, the food and attentiveness from the staff made our experience memorable. We all had a really nice afternoon lunch at Mr. Claws, and I'm very happy we went! I came here specifically to get some good clam chowder from The rave reviews, I purchased two bowls to go, neither of which have any clams in them at all and no traces of any bacon. It was all potato and a little bit of onion and it didn't have a real real authentic taste. I was truly hoping for more. This is certainly the first and last time for me as a customer. The young Gal working there (sorry, I wish I would've gotten her name) walked us through ordering and was super helpful and attentive. When the food arrived on the "BellaBot" robot we were blown away by how good everything was. We did a "pick your own boil" for the two of us, king crab legs, huge mussels, shrimp, corn on the cob.
