Had dinner here with my family for Taco Tuesday! Party of 2 adults and 2 kids we arrived about an hour before closing. We were greeted thankfully they were not busy. We sat down the kind lady took our drink order and came back moments later to get our food order. My husband ordered a michelada. Food order: side of rice and beans, 2 adobada tacos and 3 battered fish tacos. They gave us chips and salsa. Food came out a few minutes later. The adobada was a bit on the salty side. The fish tacos were freshly fried and delicious they provided salsa bottles and I really enjoyed the green sauce. The rice was seasoned well and perfectly cooked. The beans however I didn't try since we saw a bug in it. We told our server about it but not sure if she understood us completely since there was a language barrier and we just wanted to inform her but she came back with a new side order of beans. Although, we told her we didn't want another since I'm sure it came from the same batch. Overall I really enjoyed my fish tacos and the michelada was refreshing. Not sure if we'll be back anytime soon. read more

Let me start with the positives: the Molcajete del Rey and the Torre de Mariscos were the highlights of the meal. Both dishes were flavorful, though the Torre was on the plainer side and needed lemon and hot sauce to really shine. Unfortunately, that's where the good ends. Service was frustrating from the very beginning. We asked for waters and straws, but despite repeating the request three times, we never received them and had to get up to grab straws ourselves. As a party of four, we also asked for one extra side of chips and salsa. Instead of being treated as a courtesy, we were charged for both items without any warning, which felt sneaky and unnecessary. Food timing was poor and disorganized. One appetizer and two entrées came out together, while the other two entrées didn't arrive until nearly 20 minutes later. The enchiladas were served with salad on top even though we specifically asked for none, and the rice was overcooked and burnt. The oysters were served lukewarm instead of chilled. We also requested two sides of mayonnaise--again charged extra--and had to take salt from another table because our request for it was ignored. Adding to the frustration, the restaurant was not busy at all, so there was no excuse for the poor service. Dirty plates sat on our table far too long and were only cleared when we repeatedly asked Elena to remove them. Overall, food quality was inconsistent: two dishes were well prepared, the other two were subpar. But the biggest issue was the service from our waitress, Elena. Her attitude was unprofessional the entire evening. She was dismissive, slow to respond, frequently "forgot" items, and spoke in a sarcastic tone. Drinks were never refilled, and it felt like we were inconveniencing her just by being there. On top of that, we were charged a $2.99 fee for using a debit card (not a credit card), which is not only unreasonable but also against regulation. While the ambiance itself was fine--music at a good volume, tables spaced out, and a game on TV--the overall experience was disappointing. Between the hidden charges, poor service from Elena, and uneven food quality, this was not worth the visit. We will not be returning. read more

Honestly was frustrating having a poor service , our waiter was only able to provide us good customer service until she got our order , after wards it felt as we were an inconvenience to ask for basic necessities , honestly no attentiveness unless asked repeatedly. This place is in a random location so you may easily miss how quality it is, but it's fantastic! First and foremost I have to say that our server was so gracious and helpful. She suggested the Pollo jalapeño for lunch and it was honestly one of the best things I've had at a Mexican restaurant! Large portion of juicy chicken breast smothers in a creamy jalapeño sauce with mushrooms and cheese - so savory and perfectly seasoned but not spicy at all (in fact I think my kids could handle it just fine). It came with homemade corn tortillas which were fabulous! The rest of the table ordered enchiladas Rojas and shrimp agauchile. But dishes were fresh and fabulous! The horchata was great as well. My coworkers invited me to a get together. They didn't say it was because of my birthday but it was to celebrate couple of birthdays together. This was my first time here and I really liked it. The waiter was supper attentive. The guys had some beer and one of the birthday ladies ordered a strawberry margarita. My friend Blanca had a mango michelada and i got a tamarind michelada. I loved my michelada. I could taste The tamarind and it was very well balanced the sweetness and the spicy, sour flavor. It has become one of my favorites now. Planing to go back and try the mango next time. My little one went with me and she ordered two asada tacos. She mention that the meat was not that great. That the flavor was not quite good. I ordered some shrimp ceviche and it was one of the best ceviches I have had. The sauce was on point the flavor very tasty. Highly recommend this dish. The guys ordered some oysters and they were seasoned with some ceviche and sauce on top. They look very tasty. My other friend Diana mention they were pretty good. I have never had oysters in my life. So I didn't want to try them. But everyone was very content with them. The were like noom, noom, noom!! I could see that their mouths were watering with the flavor. They have a music box that you can use an app and you can put the music you want. I had some good choices and everybody was enjoying The time there. It was my time to leave so the waiter came with a picture frame and so we had to be in the frame for them to start singing happy birthday song. Food was delicious, due to Friday lent requirements- moms said we had to not eat meat.. decided on this place. As we walked in could tell it was authentic food. The place was large, very clean and the staff very friendly and attentive. They serve Menudo on Saturday and Sundays with "pata"- definitely know it's gotta be good when they have homemade tortillas. Reviewing this after my second visit in one week, this time with my kids... First time it was my wife and I for a mini-date night on a Friday where we were not eating beef because of our religious preferences... We had shrimp cocktails, which were amazing, and when we took our kids, we had the opportunity to taste some of their other offerings, including their beans and rice, flautas, and one of the best fish tacos I've had in a long time... Even though the homemade tortilla was huge and awesome... In the case of the fish taco, I would've probably preferred a regular thin tortilla to get more focused on the fish... Either way that aïoli sauce and salsa were great. Definitely will be a repeat customer here and the service seems to be consistent. read more

My mother wanted a shrimp salad so I got to work on hunting and saving myself! Thank you Yelp! Found this place. Mother called and the worker was kind! She ordered 2 shrimp taco salads without the fried tortillas and flour tortillas on the side instead. The worker said it would be ready in 15 minutes! We went to get it! It was ready, but the worker didn't listen and gave hard shells. Luckily, I escaped to the bathroom so I didn't see what happened, but the worker came back and apologized. TY! =) not allowed to talk or I would've said it. I got to work setting up the table when we got back. My shrimp taco salad was wow! Amazingly delicious! Fresh and tasty! This is one of my go to spots for Mariscos in Clovis. I love their micheladas, I get mine with Pacifico. Their molcajete is enough to feed multiple people and it's delicious! You can sit inside or outside and they have it decently spread out. It's very clean inside which is another bonus. Was kind of quiet when we went so we paid for music to play. My kids each had bean and cheese burritos. Beware the beans have a little heat to them but both my kids still ate them. read more

The food, service, and atmosphere are top notch. Great location by the airport where you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. I got the shrimp tacos which came with rice and beans. These weren't street tacos, basically open burrito sized tacos was plenty to fill up on. Gonna keep checking this place out while I have to work in Fresno so I'll keep the review updated. read more

Tried this place last week as our weekly date brunch and it was really good! My favorite seafood dish to order at a mariscos place is aguachiles, and they didn't disappoint! It was flavorful and spicy, just how I like it! I love that they offer a smaller dish other than a larger size in the molcajete. I ordered the smaller one and still got nice and full! My boyfriend always orders breaded shrimp tacos and he loved them! The only thing that threw us off was that it was extremely cold in there and if your a person who gets cold easily I would take a sweater so you can eat comfortably. It's not in a downtown location which may contribute to why I hadn't heard of it or come by; but now that we've discovered it, we will not be going to any other mariscos place! We were undecided between fob or pescador and opted for this instead and we were not disappointed. My husband ordered the "agarrarte felipa" which consists of a giant chalice full of mixed seafood in an aguachile type water with four cooked shrimp on rim as garnish. And four shot glasses filled with prepared oysters. Meaning raw oysters with lime and a pico de gallo on top. The rim of the shot glasses has a delicious tamarind chamoy sauce with tajin. Totally recommend it. 10/10! I unfortunately couldn't have raw seafood so had to settle for their tacos. But I was not disappointed. I ordered their tacos gobernador and their shrimp taco. Both with grilled shrimp although they have the option of breaded (empalizado) as well. The shrimp were perfectly seasoned and each taco came in a handmade mouth watering corn tortilla! Omg, I would come back just to order their tortillas for a nice sunday menudo or birria if they sold them separately... but I digress. They had several sauces at the table already but brought two additional ones for the tacos. Both delicious! Their complimentary chips and salad are good. I loved there salsa. Definitely had their own touch and their chips were fine, nothing extraordinary. But they were generous with them so 5/5. I ordered an horchata and it tasted homemade and authentic, not overly sweet, just perfect. I would strongly recommend it if your in Fresno/Clovis and are craving mariscos. You won't regret it.
