Best food in Algadones, bar none. Friendliest staff, when I was in Yuma, I ate here almost every day.

The menu is slightly limited, but had a bunch of ceviche tostadas and I tried the Seafood rice, which I could only eat about a third as the serving was very large. Oh they had a great selection of hot sauces. It appeared the chips were home made.

I was really looking forward to Mexican food. I ordered the seafood rice and it was OK. Had five large shrimp and minuscule little bits of octopus throughout the Spanish rice. It was very bland. I dumped the entire bowl of hot sauce into it and that made it much better. I was shocked that they charged me for a refill on my iced tea. It was so full of ice that I only got about two sips before it was empty. It is difficult to find. There is no sign. In case you are trying to find it and this is the kind of restaurant you're looking for, it is next door to the Venus building which is quite well marked just before the curve where the cars go down the hill to the border. The most favorable thing about this restaurant is that it's air-conditioned. Cleanliness counts too. English-speaking and friendly people were nice as well. It was just not a Mexican restaurant. I would not return.

The restaurant was quiet enough with maybe 15 tables. I was, however, disappointed in the staff. The ladies were very nice but they seemed short staffed. They had (1) forgotten our silverware when asked for it, (2) never same back to check on us to see how we were doing, (3) didn't offer refills on drinks, (4) I was the last to get my food after everyone had finished - I had to ask for it and (5) they reuse glass sparkling water bottles for the sangria and then poured it into a plastic coke cup. (Maybe they don't have nice glasses for sangria like they have glasses for beer). The sangria must be premade and then poured into these bottles. The bottle came open but was it sealed or not. Seems odd yet I get why they reuse the bottles. It's just a bit unsettling because you don't know where that unopened bottle has been. For me and being cautious I wouldn't order sangria there again. And the taste, well it could have been better. It was just ok. When I finally got my one spicy taco it was so greasy I could not even eat it all. It upset my stomach. Just a disappointment all in all for me really. Though I will say the group we went with were happy with their food but as well disappointed in the staff. Do I recommend, for the most part which is the food yes. Just don't go expecting great customer service.

Our party of 12 placed our orders together; however, the delivery of food was highly inconsistent and significantly delayed. Approximately 20 minutes after ordering, only a few members of our group began receiving their meals. Another portion of the group was served roughly 10 minutes later. Even after one hour, several of us had still not received our food. In my case, I ordered three tacos (shrimp, fish, and birria). The shrimp taco arrived first, followed by the fish taco approximately 15 minutes later. The remainder of my order was delayed further. When I inquired about the staggered service--both across our table and within individual orders--the server explained that the kitchen operates with only two cooks: one assigned to cold items and the other to hot items. This explanation did not align with our order, as very few cold items had been requested. After approximately one hour and fifteen minutes, one member of our party had yet to receive his entrée (octopus), despite ordering at the same time as the rest of the group. At that point, he chose to cancel his order. Given the extended delays and lack of coordination, our group ultimately decided to leave the restaurant. We subsequently chose to dine elsewhere. Based on this experience, I would strongly encourage others to consider alternative dining options unless they are prepared for prolonged wait times and inconsistent service. And the food taste also missed the mark, the food was bland and not very appetizing.
