WARNING: Do NOT send your dog to Glencadia Dog Camp. We paid…read more$900 for boarding plus an extra bath. Our dog came home with a cut on his nose, filthy, and completely lethargic -- he wouldn't eat or move the next day. We rushed him to an emergency vet and discovered he had a serious skin infection and a fever. He is now on two weeks of antibiotics and has to wear a cone of shame. Total cost to us: $1,500 in emergency vet bills on top of the $900 we already paid them. When we contacted Glencadia, they refused to reimburse us or even have a real conversation about what happened. Their response was essentially: "you signed a disclaimer, sue us." They never emailed or called us to let us know our dog was injured or unwell during his stay. The photos they posted of him during the trip appeared deliberately framed to hide any signs of his condition. This is what you're signing up for. Protect your pet and go elsewhere.

I'm writing this on behalf of a close friend who recently had a very upsetting experience with…read moreGlencadia Dog Camp, and honestly, it was concerning enough that I felt it was important to share. She chose Glencadia because of how it presents itself--as a premier dog camp with attentive care, strong communication, and a safe, well-managed environment. Unfortunately, that was not her experience. While her dog was in their care, she received an email saying the dog had a cut "about the size of a nickel," that it might not be serious, and that they weren't sure how it happened. She was then asked what she wanted to do, rather than the staff taking immediate action. As a dog owner who was not nearby, this put her in a very stressful and unfair position. When she picked up her dog, the reality was far more serious. The wound was clearly much worse than described and extremely alarming to see in person. It was not minor, and it was difficult to understand how it had been communicated that way. What's most concerning is that: They could not explain how the injury occurred The severity of the wound was minimized The dog was not taken to a veterinarian immediately, despite mention that stitches might be needed I understand that facilities have liability policies, but that doesn't excuse a lack of transparency or failure to take appropriate care when an animal is injured. Watching my friend go through this--feeling shocked, upset, and let down after trusting them with her dog--was really difficult. No pet owner should have to question what happened to their dog or whether proper care was given. If you're considering Glencadia, I would strongly urge you to think twice and ask very detailed questions about how injuries are handled--because this experience was not what anyone would expect from a place with their reputation.

Great service here! I called you a couple months ago because one of my pet parents (I am a breeder)…read morecalled me just panicking because she was on vacation and her neighbor friends that were watching her puppy Frankie, a ten month old miniature dachshund and unfortunately they were unable to sleep because he was whining and up all night crying and they could not sleep and that now she needed to find a place for him to stay immediately. Although they were, at the time reserved and very busy, they took the time to speak with me on the phone and go over everything with what they did with the pups and how they took care of them each individually and very conscientiously and with great care and I was very impressed with their service and the level of care they provided for the pet parents' fur babies. They reassured me that they would do everything possible to make sure he was extremely well taken care of and that his separation anxiety was also addressed while his mom was away on business so that way when she came home he would be a better puppy and most likely to react as strongly when she went away the next time. I like that they have specific program just for separation anxiety to calm the pets as well, you can tell they take a lot of pride in their work and really care about the animals and that the customers are happy with the great level of care they provide for their babies. I would recommend this place because I would even choose this place myself for my pets, if I were ever visiting there in Jersey City that is, and that really says a lot.

Terrible. First off these 5 star reviews must be FAKE the pet sitter that was supposed to be…read moresitting was changed last minute, without giving us notice. Also 4 out of the 6 schedule visits the sitters showed up more than two hours late. On top of that the tracking app and check-in and check-out scans were very conveniently "not working " luckily we have a home security system that records the times they were there. In one occasion we also noticed they didn't bother to clean the litter box so we had to contact their boss and make them go back to clean it. How ridiculous I am doing that so called bosses job. Not to mention the sitter looked in boxes that looked like jewelry boxes luckily we had hid those away beforehand. So if you are ok with all this go for it. Otherwise you are better off getting someone off the street to pet sit for you. No it is not a mistake. I literately spoke to Pedro over the phone and he made up excuses and he still charged me. I'm adding the payment I made. I can't believe they have no shame. Specially after being so negligent, wow, everyone stay away this is the type of people you let in your home.
