I brought two black formal gowns to be hemmed for Maritza. She came highly recommended so i crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. One gown was all lace and the other chiffon and both had lining. I didnt pay a lot of money for the dresses but after they were hemmed and altered, they were absolutely STUNNING on. I am convinced there isn't anything that Maritza couldnt do! Amazing and fast service! I turned my pants in on a Monday and needed them hemmed by Friday and they were ready on Wednesday.

They did an excellent job shortening my dress but then i went to a neighbor lady who sews out of her home for a similar alteration on a different but equally 'challenging' shortening and it was soooo much cheaper. $120 to cut 4" off a hem felt excessive to me but maybe it's me. Says walk ins are available on the website. Tried calling multiple times before I went in but because they said walk ins are available, I decided to just go during normal business hours. When I showed up, the door was locked, there was another frustrated girl there too who I assume was in the same situation I was in. I never leave a review on anything! But this place has the best seamstress in town! Let me say that again best seamstress in Texas!! Amazing work! I took my braids maid dress in to get tailored because it was way to long, I took it in on a afternoon and I let her know I was on a time crunch and she had it ready for me the next day! 10/10 recommend!! Maritza is great. I have been taking my clothes to her for years. She is responsive and has reasonable pricing.

i went to go get my long open slit dress fixed because it had a small hole in the back and at the front of the dress the slit showed too much and was opened in the middle other than the side. I pointed out what I wanted to be fixed and she began to pin the things that she was going to work on. she pinned things that I didn't even mention needed fixing but I allowed her. (in my head I was thinking "she's the professional so maybe those things do need fixing") anyways she pinned where I wanted the slit to open and I told her I wanted it all closed to the part where I told her I was comfortable the slit starting on the dress. today I went to go pick up my dress, did a quick exam and saw the hole was still there and she only did a quick stitch on the slit of the dress other than fully closing it to where we had talked about where I wanted it to end and open up. because of that when I put on my dress it didn't look that well because then it looked like my dresses was being pulled l by just a small stitch. other than not getting what I asked for the day I showed up to first get my dresses fixed I felt like I was being treated a bit rude in the manner they had spoken in. Strongly don't recommend unless you don't actually want to get what you asked for. read more
