They're dishonest and look for things you don't have in order to charge you exorbitant prices. I came here to get my teeth treated. The dentist seemed hesitant in his diagnosis, and the hygienist was even worse. I don't have the best teeth, but I do maintain good daily hygiene. The hygienist recommended a deep cleaning because I had tartar and plaque. The cleaning cost $795. Then the supposed budget coordinator arrived, and the treatment for my teeth would cost $12,185. At another place in the same area, the treatment would have cost me $5,533. Even so, I paid half the cleaning, $395, to start, and they only cleaned half of my mouth, on the right side, both upper and lower. During the week, I got two second opinions from other dentists and called dental insurance companies and plans. The result: I have no plaque, no tartar, and a cleaning wasn't necessary right now. I had a broken tooth, and these dishonest people at Gentle Dental wanted to put a crown on me for $3,050. The other two dentists recommended the following: you have 70% of your tooth still good; it's best to preserve it by getting a filling that, with care, will last and keep part of your natural tooth. Think a thousand times before going to Gentle Dental. I recommend Corbin Dental Bayside. They had me fill out paperwork, sit in the waiting room for 15 minutes, go sit in the orthodontic chair. Then the doctor proceeded to tell me I had to get back out of the chair and go to the desk to find out how much it was before she did it even though I already said that I wanted to have it done because there was a wire flailing around in my mouth. They then told me that they couldn't find out the price so I could leave and they would call me. I told them that I had already left work early to make this appointment because it was an urgent matter so I would wait. Coincidentally enough, they gave me the price five minutes later and then told me that it was their lunch break so I had to come back. The level of unprofessionalism was something I had never experienced before. I explained my frustrations seeing as I had spoken to them on the phone and they told me that they would only be able to fit me in at that appointment, but then all of a sudden, now they have time to fit me in in the afternoon, which would've been preferable for me in the first place. The orthodontist herself came out and was rudely talking to the receptionists about how and when to book other appointments in front of me and other patients, which I also found extremely unprofessional. She was clearly not in a good mood and was not friendly and allowed it to affect her in her work place. I will most definitely not be returning to this office.

The staff was nice and efficient and the dentist that saw me was very nice and caring. She explained and showed what work needed to be done and was SUPER GENTLE.
