We stated working with them when they replaced our previous boiler and hot water tank. Andy (the owner) did phenomenal work on this, and our new system has worked perfectly for years now. Additionally, they've fixed a handful of plumbing problems, again without issue. Most recently, they installed wifi thermostats for us on common makers, a tricky install that allows old two-wire systems to host powered digital thermostats. The new thermostats were buggy and kept shorting out, but Andy and his team were tireless in their efforts to troubleshoot the problem multiple times until they identified the problem and found a solution, all while honoring their original installation at no extra charge. Their rates are also reasonable and fair. I can't recommend Ridgeline Mechanical enough.

I left detailed messages which were ignored & when the furnace died on a zero degree day they wouldn't call me back & said during emergency hours they only take contract customers. Stay away from this company or you'll find yourself with a bad outcome. Update- they came & took apart the furnace & said they would order the part. After a week of calling with no return calls they finally answered the phone on Friday& said they weren't ordering the part. They wasted 2 weeks of my time besides breaking my furnace during a routine service call. Stay away from using this company for anything- very disreputable!!!!

We have needed them, and they have been there for us! They fixed our leaking water heater last summer and our furnace this December. Our furnace was an emergency, and they came out at 10 PM in the evening to make sure we had heat through the night!

Two young men showed up, one of them was a complete trainee and did nothing. They were here for about an hour and I had several questions about the air blowing noise the furnace was making. The lead gentleman turned to me and said if you ask anymore we'll have to start charging you for additional hours because of all the questions. I asked them about a condensation drain system and they strongly recommended a small handsized plastic tube filter to prevent sulfuric acid from forming and eating up my lines and ruining my septic tank which they have heard about a lot. I asked if he had ever witnessed that and he said no. He presented me with a cheap plastic condensation filter and said our septic system probably wouldn't last without it. It costs $300 for an 8-in plastic tube with beads in it. I did some research online afterwards and found it is not needed and the filtration tubes run anywhere from $30 to $90 on Amazon. I learned online that the acidity from condensation is about a five on the pH scale which is slightly acetic, and normal drainage from a household is slightly alkaline at about a level of 9, so it balances out when it hits the septic system. The amount of acidity that would hit the system anyways is about the same as a fart, very minimal. It's a $90 part and a $210 installation fee!! The part simply glues in- line in the middle of a plastic 1/2-in PVC pipe which would take me 5 minutes. After loudly verbally referencing a red wire and a blue wire, and the wiring diagram (they sounded like this heater was unfamiliar), my wife asked what they were doing. He raised his voice and said "We know what we're doing!". She asked about his certification and the trainee mentioned he was an apprentice and has never done this before, and the lead gentleman shouted that he's been doing it for 2 years and has been to the Rheem training school. We asked him what is included in the inspection and he started rattling off every single part of a furnace in an arrogant manner for about a full minute. I nearly kicked him out of the house at that point. He really was a belligerent, loud and arrogant jerk. He charged $200 but tried to push a 6-month inspection for $295 and I said no, absolutely no. I never received a receipt, a work completed report or any specifications on my furnace, it's pressure or performance. They said the loud noise I was experiencing was normal. I made a big mistake going with this company and will not use them again.

When our 20 year old boiler started giving us trouble (9 years ago) we called Heatmeister out to…read morelook at it. At the time he was one of the only plumbers that would do a weekend service call. He convinced us that we needed a new system and that ours would soon quit working. He only installed a German product and sold us on the quality of the Viessmann boiler. We did our due diligence and researched the product. Little did we know Richard was the only plumber in the state that would/could work on them. He now had us under his thumb. We spent 17k on the new system which his company could monitor remotely with the Ecobee app. Very appealing as we were not always on the premises. Richard recommended yearly maintenance...makes sense. Every year he would find something wrong and it would cost us hundreds to thousands to repair. Even with these costly repairs/maintenance our boiler would stop working several times a year leaving us without heat and hot water until Richard could make it over to repair. We would always be charged a trip fee on top of the cost to fix the problem that shouldn't have been happening!! After one such repair a leak occurred leaving our mechanical room with water damage. They had the nerve to say we caused it and had nothing to do with the part they just replaced (which was the site of leak). To sum up this "money pit" story, after being gone for a week we returned home Friday to find our boiler completely out. Thought it was a breaker but it was the boiler. We reached out to Richard stating that once again our troubled system had failed. Their reply today (Tuesday) was "Since you are displeased with our service please reach out to other contractors." That was it. Living in the mountains without heat and hot water during the winter and they reply find someone else!! Even after 10 years not sure we could find someone to work on his product. The replacement boiler wasn't immediately available so space heaters were arranged throughout the house and Heatmeister stopped by many times unrequested to check on the situation until the boiler was available and replaced. The office provided daily updates and communication regarding work status, components and associated costs. We were thrilled with the excellent service and prompt communication, especially so immediately needed during the holidays! It's difficult to find a quality responsive honest contractor, especially in the high country during peak season. Thanks to all of you!
