Quote was the highest among other estimates, but then says "I'll give you a 50.00 discount if you put in a good review for me" and so if you do this, you'll end up still paying a lot and writing a fake review to make this guy look better. August 30th, 2018 Original Date: Mark initially called me and said he would come out in the evening, but he never showed up or called. After I texted him, he finally responded, claiming he never committed to coming out, which wasn't true. He had also quoted me around $2,000 to remove wires from a load-bearing wall, but I ended up hiring another electrical company that did the job for $1,100. Mark kept texting me, and when I didn't reply, he called to insist he never promised to come out. He's unprofessional and unpleasant to deal with on the phone. I definitely wouldn't consider hiring him again. Update: On October 23, 2024, Mark Anderson claimed to remember this project six years later, but there were no conversations about the permit, and a licensed electrical company completed the work according to code. His statement is completely false and laughable. He likely waited six years to comment, hoping the author wouldn't notice and that someone would believe his lies. All it would have taken to avoid a bad review was accountability, punctuality, and a simple apology when things didn't go as planned. read more

Mark came to my house to give me an estimate on wiring for a pool install. His price was 3x less then another company that came. I think the other company saw our house and upped the price. Mark is very friendly and honest. He spent a good hour going over the project with me and what needed done. His workers who came to the house to do the work with him were very professional and hard working. Him and his crew did a great job on the install, I will hire him again for any electrical need that I have in the future. read more

Mark Anderson Electrical did a great job supplying power to a detached garage we recently built in our backyard. They were easy to work with, knew the most about what was required to pass inspection, arrived on time, were very reasonably priced (we got estimates from 5 other local companies)and did a really great job with the installation and wiring required. He was so knowledgeable, healthy and trustworthy I hired him on the spot, basically I was so impressed I didn't feel a need to compare with anyone else. He fixed my immediate needs and sent his team out for the larger project of outdoor lighting. His team members had the same high quality customer service and results. I absolutely loved working with them, would use them again and highly recommended them. Found Home Advisors on the internet. The HA rep had two electricians contact me before I completed the call. Mark Anderson was the 1st to call. He had a technician in the area completing a job and could be at my house w/in the hour. Mark quoted a reasonable price for a ceiling fan installation. Mark H Anderson Electrical Services is the WORST experience I have ever had with an electrician. Don't let Mark's friendly first impression fool you. Once he has your money, he will show his true colors. I needed my old kitchen rewired and walked Mark through everything I requested. Mark H Anderson did NOT write anything down. Not one single thing. And when I asked him later why something wasn't done like I had requested, he SCREAMED at me for changing the project!?! This happened more than once. I even had him itemize tasks in the quote to ensure it was done as agreed. This didn't matter, because he still wired things incorrectly despite that, and blamed me again for changing the job! His racist rants were unacceptable and offensive! (Mark H Anderson is not shy to use the N word.) He instructed me to find some special dimmer switch for my lights. He claimed that this was the only way to make it work. It turns out the dimmer switch wasn't necessary, nor did it even exist. And he is a so-called specialist? He consistently "forgot" to bring equipment with him to complete my job, but insisted he get paid anyway. He has already been paid for most of the job, despite not completing many of the tasks. I have left several texts and phone messages for him over the past 3 months and he has NOT returned my call. My kitchen remains unfinished and abandoned by this incompetent excuse for an electrician. I am filing a complaint with the BBB and posting this review on ALL the websites that review Mark H Anderson Electrical Services. I sincerely hope that this review warns people of this unscrupulous electrician so he can't take advantage of anybody else! read more
