What that has to do with my cleaning is beyond me but I was not seen. Drove 25 minutes to get there and took time off from work for nothing. I did not reschedule and will find somewhere else to go. Mind you, they said they've been working on the system update since Friday so a courtesy call on Friday would've been good. I appreciate her professionalism, have built a rapport with her and that she's not excessively chatty. She's given me tips over the years and I know I'm in good hands when I'm being attended by her. I get disappointed if she isn't available. I had X-rays today and those bite-wing things can be overwhelming in the mouth so I just focused because at one point I almost threw up for some reason when it was towards the back of my mouth but I held it together. Luckily it's only once a year. Everything was straightforward and afterwards, Dr. Ruiz examined my mouth, scraped a little and I asked her about getting a new, thinner Mouthguard that will act like a Retainer. At first she mentioned one product that was for my upper and lower teeth but I told her I didn't have braces on my lower teeth so she thought about it and decided to have me try something else. I ended up ordering an Essix Retainer that's thicker than a regular Invisalign Retainer which is more flimsy so it acts like a Night Guard. I was able to get an iTero mouth/teeth 3D scan at the beginning of my appointment so I was able to skip an appointment and just come for the fitting later this month. The 3D scan is a new and free procedure that tracks changes in your mouth/teeth for future reference. Dr. Ruiz was very nice in our brief visit. My regular dentist is currently on Maternity Leave. As always, I leave with extra sample toothpaste, toothbrush and floss. The office has a Keurig machine, chips tray and bottled water in a small fridge and an Air Purifier out in the waiting room.

Absolutely the worst service I ever received. If I could give it no stars I would. Let me start by…read moresaying the absolute mess they made on my treatment plan. I was referred to this place because the original one was out of network for some work I had to get done. I went for a consultation at their other location on Bandera and was given an outline of the treatment. It took two months for this office to get me an appointment. I had to place a 100 deposit, which they tried to keep. Then I paid in full over 2k for the procedure. They told me they would file a claim and I would receive some reimbursement. I have never been so terrified to the point I almost walked out. The doctor was so heavy handed that I started to get anxiety. I felt like I was being stabbed to the point of exhaustion. I get that that had to numb me but he could have been more gentle about it. Once the procedure was over they sent my medication to the wrong pharmacy and was told they would have to call to resubmit it. Luckily my husband called while in the waiting area because getting ahold of anyone can be nearly impossible. They took 30 days to process my claim with my insurance. Then they submitted things wrong. They don't communicate with their other office at all so don't even bother. I followed up with him which that part was okay. Mind you it was less invasive. On my last follow-up they wanted to schedule me for a cleaning. I told them I already have a provider I see that I absolutely love. They insisted and I felt pressured to scheduled the appointment. I did but call back to cancel it. They continued to try to get me to reschedule and asked me the reason for my cancellation. I continued to reiterate to cancel the appointment. The office is not only rude but very disorganized. I don't feel like your care is their priority but rather the money they can suck out of you. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had. I would not recommend this office or doctor. Although the doctor seems very knowledgeable and pleasant he is too harsh in his bedside manners of approach. You've been warned.
