Was referred here by Centennial Baylor Scott & White ER (on Coit and Lebanon) after being diagnosed…read moreon March 7th, 2025 with Erythema Ab Igne. I started developing painful pus-filled blisters in the days leading up to my ER visit and ultimately went with the intention of having them drained. I was sent home with bacitracin ointment which I was to apply to the affected areas twice daily. I visited the ER again four days later on March 11th with two new blisters - at which point I was given antibiotics - one 500mg tablet of cephalexin twice daily. That - in conjunction with an antibiotic injection - helped tremendously. Over the next two weeks, I took extreme care and ensured that only mild soap and water was touching my open wounds. Since then, my blisters have healed nicely, but I still felt I needed to follow-up with a dermatologist. This is where Legacy Dermatology, and Sarah Batti in particular, comes in. I absolutely loved her and her approach to patient care. Her knowledge and compassion for the field was clear. She truly engaged and interacted with me, made me feel comfortable, and set my mind, heart, and anxiety at ease. It was my first appointment with a dermatologist, so I did not know what to expect. Being that the offending source was a space heater over a period of about a year and a half, I was petrified and absolutely convinced that I had skin cancer. Thankfully, the discoloration on my posterior left thigh has started to fade. It seriously looked like toasted skin which is essentially what Erythema Ab Igne means in Latin. No more space heaters for me - or any form of artificial heat for that matter. Sarah outlined a future care plan and took pictures at yesterday's visit so she can compare it to my visit (which is scheduled for 3 months out) on June 26th, 2025. In the meantime, she suggested nightly applications of Aquaphor and sunscreen when out in the sun. It will be interesting to see how much further it fades, if it does ever go away completely.

This is a long overdue review for Nancy. Although I have moved back to California and continue my…read moreadult acne treatment in Face Reality's home office, I would still recommend anyone who is having acne trouble in the DFW metroplex. I am originally from California so I've been receiving treatment from Face Reality's headquarters but from 2014-2015 I lived in Dallas. During my brief year in Texas, my skin was severely dry and breaking out like crazy. I tried using all kind of moisturizing cream but I just couldn't get my skin to hydrate enough. I did some research from the Face Reality site to see if I could find an esthetician in Texas so I could continue my routine. Luckily, Nancy's office was somewhat close by and she also had been trained by Laura so I was super happy to see her to help me with my skin. At this time I was near Farmer's Branch so the drive to Frisco was lengthy but worth it (in my opinion). Nancy was thoughtful and listened to my struggles with the dry weather and acne. She provided the same treatments that I had at Face Reality's headquarters and she also carried many Face Reality products as well! I was so happy I would be able to pick up products instead of having to wait for them to ship to my apartment. My skin improved immediately as soon as I started getting the chemical peels and extractions. I was so used to thorough extractions from the California office that I was surprised how quick and painless my extractions were with Nancy (or maybe I just didn't have many pimples!). Expect the appointment to be around 30 mins total. Of course this could be longer depending on the severity of your acne. Her office is in a small plaza with a small parking lot. The times I've gone for appointments, I was always able to find parking but if the lot is full, there' street parking since the surrounding area is in a residential area. Overall, if you are suffering from acne and dryness, I'd recommend to at least get a consultation with Nancy. Face Reality has helped (and is continuing to help) me with my adult acne, and you won't be sorry because the products and routine really does work!! :) Thank you Nancy!

Nancy validated all of my concerns and actively listened when I told her about my struggles with acne. She doesn't just give you a skincare plan (anyone can do that). She gives you diet and lifestyle changes to consider and also gives you lists of ingredients to avoid in your hair, skin, and home products and in your food! I thought I was very conscious about my products and my diet, and then she politely steered me in a better direction. If you're looking for alternatives to anything, she can help you find them AND they will all be acne safe! In addition, if you have sensitive skin, she's your best bet. My skin is VERY sensitive and I have reactions to nearly everything! She tested different products on me and found a routine that was safe for my sensitive skin and even helped me toughen my skin up so it's not as reactive as it once was. Trust the process! Take lots of pictures! Your skin will slowly but surely start to improve. It has been a night and day difference for me and I've only been seeing her for 7 weeks! Investing in your skin will be the best investment you ever make. I started this journey to get clear for my wedding in the spring, but I'm quickly realizing that this is a lifestyle I really enjoy!

My son was prescribed a stronger topical steroid which made the situation worse. So after going to a closer location, the new dr said that he had ringworm and shouldn't have been prescribed a topical steroid because it makes it worse. So, the new provided prescribed a new ointment and an oral medication for 30 days with 1 refill. Typical treatment when ringworm is in your scalp is 4-6 weeks. 10 days into the new treatment, we run out of the oral medication. After talking to the pharmacist, they indicated the dr calculated the amount incorrectly. So, we only had 1 refill on a 10-day supply. I'm upset that he was misdiagnosed back in March and that I sent him to school and other places where others were exposed. I'm upset that the 2nd dr didn't calculate the right medicine and we almost were without meds if the pharmacy didn't realize that the order that was sent over was incorrect. I'm frustrated that this could have been in the past and now we are trying to treat a condition that he's now had for months! This was such a horrible experience and was one issue after the next. I would never go back here and would never recommend this place. We transitioned to a new dermatologist office who we are much more confident in treating our son. While the staff was polite, that doesn't do any good if the competence is lacking. If I could give this place a 0, I would.

My advice is stay away…read more Long story short................. Was referred to Dr. Perez for a suspected Actinic keratosis right in the middle of my nose. Guess what? He missed it. Wasn't until I got home, did I realize he did not treat it. So, I ended up setting another appointment with another dermatologist as the spot was biopsied to be Basil Cell Cancer. Remember, this is why I was referred to his office! How in the world could he miss it??? It gets even better............ He missed another spot on my forearm that was also biopsied, and it turned out to be Squamous Cell Cancer. Ended up seeing a third Dermatologist who performed MOHL's Surgery to remove the growth he completely missed. Believe it or not, if that isn't enough to stay away...... He was not in my network so instead of paying my normal deductible, he charged me full price as my insurance does not cover out of network physicians. My opinion is low class for not telling me my insurance was not valid at that office, also if the cancer had not been caught and spread? Not cool! Any good attorneys out there? Honestly in disbelief and do not say you were not warned. Denny
