Stay away from this place. I was referred here for a peel by the Denton location which is where I have always gone. I made an appt with Dr Li for a chemical peel. I will just say here that Dr Li was rude, dismissive, careless and on top of it all there was no consultation. So that non refundable fee was a ruse. She used a peel on me that I now realize is not meant for a first time peel. It's a very deep peel. I'm a week out and still in so much pain. She was rushing from room to room like it was a marathon. Slapping solution on me then off to the next victim. Then sent me home with no after care info. I had a packet of papers that I thought were after care instructions but as it turned out, it was 3 pages of her skin care products with prices and nothing about after care. A few days into this I was in so much pain that I showed a friend who has had peels and she was horrified. Then I showed a nurse and a Dr. all with the same reaction. Dr Li used a more expensive peel on me even tho it was not the appropriate one for my skin. Again no consult. No explanation of the choices or options and what each would do. This woman is all about the money over patient. Do not go here. My chest a week after treatment. It is seeping and I'm just doing my best to keep it clean.

I started developing painful pus-filled blisters in the days leading up to my ER visit and ultimately went with the intention of having them drained. I was sent home with bacitracin ointment which I was to apply to the affected areas twice daily. I visited the ER again four days later on March 11th with two new blisters - at which point I was given antibiotics - one 500mg tablet of cephalexin twice daily. That - in conjunction with an antibiotic injection - helped tremendously. Over the next two weeks, I took extreme care and ensured that only mild soap and water was touching my open wounds. Since then, my blisters have healed nicely, but I still felt I needed to follow-up with a dermatologist. This is where Legacy Dermatology, and Sarah Batti in particular, comes in. I absolutely loved her and her approach to patient care. Her knowledge and compassion for the field was clear. She truly engaged and interacted with me, made me feel comfortable, and set my mind, heart, and anxiety at ease. It was my first appointment with a dermatologist, so I did not know what to expect. Being that the offending source was a space heater over a period of about a year and a half, I was petrified and absolutely convinced that I had skin cancer. Thankfully, the discoloration on my posterior left thigh has started to fade. It seriously looked like toasted skin which is essentially what Erythema Ab Igne means in Latin. No more space heaters for me - or any form of artificial heat for that matter. Sarah outlined a future care plan and took pictures at yesterday's visit so she can compare it to my visit (which is scheduled for 3 months out) on June 26th, 2025. In the meantime, she suggested nightly applications of Aquaphor and sunscreen when out in the sun. It will be interesting to see how much further it fades, if it does ever go away completely.

I'll be honest, I'm probably not the typical person to write a review for a dermatology office. As…read morea guy, going to the dermatologist wasn't exactly something I was excited about or used to doing. That said, I've been going to Rodgers Dermatology for a few years now and I've had a good experience. I recently had a few procedures done, and everything went smooth from start to finish. The staff was friendly, the providers explained what was going on, and they made the whole process easier than I expected. I felt comfortable during the visits, never felt rushed, and appreciated that they answered my questions without making it a big deal. Overall, I'm glad I went and would recommend them, especially to anyone who may be putting off going to a dermatologist.

During those two weeks, not a single person from the office contacted me to explain that a parent or legal guardian must be physically present for a minor's initial visit. I intentionally scheduled this appointment before school started so my son would not have to miss class. Instead, he took time off work, drove to the office, checked in, and was then informed he would not be seen because I was not there in person. My son is nearly 17 years old and less than two years away from leaving for college. He is more than capable of attending a routine dermatology appointment on his own. If the practice requires a parent to be physically present despite a patient being mature enough to drive himself, hold a job, and manage his own appointment, that is certainly their prerogative--but it is also their responsibility to communicate that requirement before the appointment, not after the patient has already arrived. To be clear, I have absolutely no issue with that policy. I have every issue with a practice that fails to communicate it. When I spoke with the office manager, I expected a simple acknowledgment that the situation could have been prevented with a phone call, text, or email. Instead, I was told I should have known, that I should have called the office rather than using Zocdoc, and that there was essentially nothing to be done. If this office chooses to accept appointments through a third-party scheduling platform, then the responsibility to communicate office-specific requirements belongs to the office--not the patient. Suggesting otherwise is simply an attempt to shift responsibility for an entirely preventable mistake. I offered to FaceTime during the appointment or complete any required paperwork electronically so my son could still be seen. There was no willingness to accommodate, no effort to problem-solve, and no recognition that their lack of communication had now caused him to miss work unnecessarily and will require him to miss school for a rescheduled appointment. Policies are understandable. Poor communication is not. A complete lack of accountability is even less so.

Although I have moved back to California and continue my…read moreadult acne treatment in Face Reality's home office, I would still recommend anyone who is having acne trouble in the DFW metroplex. I am originally from California so I've been receiving treatment from Face Reality's headquarters but from 2014-2015 I lived in Dallas. During my brief year in Texas, my skin was severely dry and breaking out like crazy. I tried using all kind of moisturizing cream but I just couldn't get my skin to hydrate enough. I did some research from the Face Reality site to see if I could find an esthetician in Texas so I could continue my routine. Luckily, Nancy's office was somewhat close by and she also had been trained by Laura so I was super happy to see her to help me with my skin. At this time I was near Farmer's Branch so the drive to Frisco was lengthy but worth it (in my opinion). Nancy was thoughtful and listened to my struggles with the dry weather and acne. She provided the same treatments that I had at Face Reality's headquarters and she also carried many Face Reality products as well! I was so happy I would be able to pick up products instead of having to wait for them to ship to my apartment. My skin improved immediately as soon as I started getting the chemical peels and extractions. I was so used to thorough extractions from the California office that I was surprised how quick and painless my extractions were with Nancy (or maybe I just didn't have many pimples!). Expect the appointment to be around 30 mins total. Of course this could be longer depending on the severity of your acne. Her office is in a small plaza with a small parking lot. The times I've gone for appointments, I was always able to find parking but if the lot is full, there' street parking since the surrounding area is in a residential area. Overall, if you are suffering from acne and dryness, I'd recommend to at least get a consultation with Nancy. Face Reality has helped (and is continuing to help) me with my adult acne, and you won't be sorry because the products and routine really does work!! :) Thank you Nancy!

Nancy validated all of my concerns and actively listened when I told her about my struggles with acne. She doesn't just give you a skincare plan (anyone can do that). She gives you diet and lifestyle changes to consider and also gives you lists of ingredients to avoid in your hair, skin, and home products and in your food! I thought I was very conscious about my products and my diet, and then she politely steered me in a better direction. If you're looking for alternatives to anything, she can help you find them AND they will all be acne safe! In addition, if you have sensitive skin, she's your best bet. My skin is VERY sensitive and I have reactions to nearly everything! She tested different products on me and found a routine that was safe for my sensitive skin and even helped me toughen my skin up so it's not as reactive as it once was. Trust the process! Take lots of pictures! Your skin will slowly but surely start to improve. It has been a night and day difference for me and I've only been seeing her for 7 weeks! Investing in your skin will be the best investment you ever make. I started this journey to get clear for my wedding in the spring, but I'm quickly realizing that this is a lifestyle I really enjoy!
