There were a lot of people and the park offered tours including jeep and Segway. Spectacular views. We started at the Visitor Center and spoke to the wonderful volunteers about recommended explorations. Digital and paper maps are available there but the road and the trails are also well signposted with maps throughout as well. Our hike with photo stops, a little bit of scrambling and a drive through the park as well as a visit to The Trading Post (cafe, ice cream and extensive gift shop) lasted about 2 hours so we ended about midday and were glad that we had an early-ish start. The main trail is paved with many optional and relatively short unpaved offshoots. The trail walk was an immensely enjoyable experience and we were indeed awed by these rock formations in this incredible setting! Thank you to the City of Colorado Springs for keeping this experience FREE to the public as promised to the original land owners. Visitors, consider a donation to be able to continue to share this wondrous area with all!

They met me on arrival and showed us the layout. We were given clean 10x30 covered runs with sanitized buckets and feeders, and a wheelbarrow to clean out our trailer. Timothy hay was available for $14/bale (July 2024). There are 4 pens in this group, which is separated from surrounding pens and paddocks. My horses tend to be picky but drank the water at WZ readily. There are two slots for trailer parking with electric but no water or septic hookup. Another hookup is available across the property. There was another patron parked there, and the separation allowed us both maximum privacy and biosecurity. The only negative element is about a mile of washboard gravel road leading into the property, which is not WZ Ranch's fault. The drive and little-used gravel road made a nice safe place for us to walk our dogs. We were coming off a long 20 hour haul, and really appreciated the quiet and beautiful location for a nice long rest before we hit the road again. We will definitely use WZ again!

I mistakenly assumed that the gift certificate would be good for at least the next year, but it turns out it was limited to nine months. When the weather improved after our busy summer came to an end, we went to book our ride and was told our gift certificate expired one week prior. Nowhere on my receipt did it have an expiration date, and I was never told of one. It was in very small print on the attachment to the gift certificate. I was told there was no exceptions to be made even if I was flexible on our available dates. As locals, this is very disappointing and we will definitely remember this going forward as we could've been long-term customers. We'll be sure to spread the lack of customer service to everybody we know locally as well. My wife was devastated as she was very much looking forward to this after some major life issues during our summer. Sad to see the lack of caring from a local community business.

They then told me they are booked out for the next two weeks, and I said okay, I'll do whenever available, I'm really wanting to take my daughter on this experience. To which they replied they are booked out until summer. What a waste of time, and why the run around?? Will absolutely avoid this place in the future.
