We chose Wedgewood in January 2021 for our October 1, 2022, wedding with 100+ guests. Kayla was our amazing wedding coordinator and she made everything so simple for us. Every detail we asked for came with a "yes" answer. She had wonderful recommendations for us and she and the entire staff worked with all my ideas - no matter how "different" they were. In fact, we made a last-minute request for a late-night charcuterie board and the chef jumped in to make it happen - and it was spectacular! In fact all of the food was incredible! Our friends and family are all still talking about how it was the best food they'd ever had at an event or wedding. The planning phase was simple, organized, thorough, and extremely professional. I'm very much a "Type-A" person, and this one one of the few times in my life I was able to sit back and trust that others would get it right - would see my vision and run with it. Wedgewood was super accommodating to the vendors I chose to bring in for ceremony music (string quartet), florist, pastry chef/wedding cake and groom's cake, marquee letters, favors, balloons, and other extra touches. Day of - everything ran smoothly! Kayla and Mo were so kind, kept us updated and ready for the next part of the agenda...and kept us well-fed and hydrated! We only had one small hiccup during the reception (with availability of certain liquor we expected to have) - but Kayla went out of her way to make it right for us. I absolutely understand that things can happen, but it's how the team responds that makes the difference and the lasting impression. Kayla is exceptional! I highly recommend the Elite package (it's definitely worth it!), the "grand sparkler moment" at the reception grand entrance, the tortellini, the s'mores bar, a late-night snack, Wedgewood's preferred photographer - Tina Joiner, their preferred DJ - DJ Maestro, and their photo-booth option - Untamed Smiles. My favorite part of the process was Kayla's enthusiasm and excitement for our wedding. It made me feel so confident that I was making all the right choices...and that my ideas weren't too crazy (having a sketch artist for our guests, we "buried the bourbon" on the property a month in advance for good weather... and dug it up on our wedding day, etc.). She was all for it and I truly appreciated her excitement for our traditions and ideas. Wedgewood is the Gold Standard in wedding venues! Without any hesitation, Highly Recommend!

She met us as the venue and based on the space, provided great choices for lighting, table coverings, back drops and layout. It's a fun vibe, especially with a larger group, but harder to talk because it is loud. There are three drink stations--wine, mixed drinks, and beer. Our party sampled all of them. Very nice. Everything is connected when you start a tab, so you don't have to worry about paying at each station. My wife and I shared the sanctuary salad--delightful! We add bacon as our protein and had the smoked tea vinaigrette--doesn't sound like much, but it made the salad great! Daughters ordered the charcuterie board, which was delicious. And we ordered the chocolate mousse for desert--very rich, like fudge. Mmm. Highly recommended!! If you are in Colorado Springs you have to try it. Service was very, very good. The biggest disappointment was the peach cobbler. It was more reminiscent of a peach crumble than a cobbler. There were peaches at the bottom but it was heavily coated with crumble. It also lacked serious flavor and was much different than what I've had in the past. However, in fairness, upon serving the dish, my server did say it was Colorado style, which, definitely was a surprise. The other dish was the Summer Vegetable Succotash & Grits. The grits were cooked well but did lack flavor. The vegetables were delicious and I appreciated the variety. The calamari was amazing. It came with a sauce that only enhanced its already bold flavors. It wasn't greasy or crispy but cooked just right. I can't recall ever having calamari this good. Third, they stick to their word. When they say they will do something- they do it. I have used tents and events several times. Recently, a family member had a sudden cancellation from her party planner, we are talking days before the memorial was to take place. This planner was responsible for everything. So, needless to say, she was now back to square one. Hearing her distress immediately put me to action, and I knew there was no one other to call than Rebecca Graves, owner of Tents and Events. Rebecca flew into action! She gathered all the necessary supplies, plus went to the store to purchase what we needed that had already been rented out to other events. We not only had everything to pull our party off, but Rebecca and her amazing crew made it more than we could have ever expected. Rebecca likes to refer to me as the "super hero for saving our party". But did I forget to mention that all of this happened 4th of July!
