We hired Mark after reading his reviews to do a full bathroom remodel, but it went poorly. He let us know he didn't have a CA license (just a NV one). He is very busy and expensive (he charges $500 a day). We decided to hire him because we thought his work was worth it. After 3 weeks the work was slow, he mis-measured, he didn't check some of the measurements with us and so some of the work had to be redone. We had to buy new material and different furniture. He told us our new design ideas wouldn't be cost effective (and would take a long time) so we went with a "quicker" design. We know he is very busy, but it took more than 3 weeks to do about half the bathroom and in his final week he only put up half of the shower tile. Then the bathroom was half done and he said he could make time for us in a month or so, but we decided not to wait that long. We hired another company and they ended up having to redo a few things. The shower floor wasn't properly slanted and didn't drain, and the tile was crooked and wouldn't handle the shower door. I also had to call the A/C company because the A/C duct was bent and I wasn't getting air. The other company finished the bathroom in less than 2 weeks for only $200 a day. read more

Mark is awesome...where do we start?! We had a few big projects in our house. The biggest being removing a load bearing wall and installing a larger support beam overhead. Mark came over and suggested what we should do, then we got the structural plans from an outside company, and Mark went to work. It was a 3 week project and it turned out great. We really appreciated that he did not take any shortcuts or deviate from the plan and even suggested a few ways to make it aesthetically more pleasing. After that project, he built a new set of stairs at the base of our house including these beautiful railings, put Stackstone around our fireplace, mounted the TV while installing new outlets to hide the cables, and installed new baseboards. It's pretty impressive the scope and expertise of his work. I'm convinced that he could do anything that you ask...electrical, drywall, structural work, carpentry, paint, etc. We pretty much saw it all! All in all, the work spanned 8 weeks. Mark is definitely a joy to be around considering Me, my wife and the kids spent plenty of time around him. It would have been a different and miserable experience if we were not comfortable around Mark working in such close quarters. Above all, we really appreciate how Mark looks at all details and wants to make sure his work is perfect. It's nice not having to ask somebody to improve this or redo this. His standard of work and pride of craftsmanship is even more than you would come to expect. One other fun bonus, is that he updates your projects on his website with step-by-step pics so you can really see the transformation of your house.
