My service cable needed to be replaced and later found out that the grounding of my system was outdated and would need to be upgraded to pass inspection. Mark promptly came back to my home to do a f/u assessment, giving me a clear and detailed description of the grounding work. He then provided a revised, detailed estimate of the service cable including cold water pipe grounding and a 2nd ground rod/electrode. His work ethic, professionalism, dedication to serving his clients, and expertise are evident from beginning to end. He ran into major difficulties due to the shoddy and substandard electric work done by the company who rehabbed my house. He handled it calmly and thoroughly, even though it extended the time he planned to spend on this job several hrs and ended up having to come back a 2nd day to complete the work. I had a 100-amp 120 Volt standard circuit breaker panel installed, but upgraded to a larger 32 panel from a 24. Mark was thorough in explaining the cost for materials, the overall process for installation, the lead time for permits and required inspections between BGE and the City. He also provided quotes for other projects of interest to be completed later. He neither oversold nor undersold. He simply addressed my concerns but made sure that I had all the information I needed to make an informed decision to make the necessary repairs. We purchased our home a few months ago and were provided the name of an electrician which the previous owner had used. i always like giving small businesses business that deserve it when they do a good job, and MArk the Spark is one of them. He was punctual and came at a time that was convenient for me. The pricing was great for a job that was almost 3 hours that involved adding wiring and a circuit box for an over the range microwav. in addition, he and his partner installed the said microwave and inspected to make sure everything went right. Mark is absolutely amazing. Needed three fans roughed in, lights in the living room and some receptacles replaced. Everything is perfect! He had to crawl in the attic to rough in the fans ( which we laughed about because it was a hot day) but he did it so fast and the fans came out perfect. Mark also added 6 lights in our livingroom and a switch we use to dim them. Lastly about 10 receptacles we replaced from older one to the newer baby proof ones with usb's . I live in a house that was built in 1923. I knew after purchase that there was going to be a great deal of updating in terms of electrical work. The overhead light in the foyer was a mess and the innards looked like horse hair was used in 1923! Old and unusable until Mark Spark Electric got on it. We had a huge power surge that morning and 1/2 the office didn't have power. We wanted to replace our outside light fixture (probably 70 years old) with a security light/camera one. When Mark arrived we quickly determined what I had been sold by Amazon was not appropriate for the job. Rather than reschedule while I tried to get a correct one he offered to go to Home Depot and get the correct unit. He then came back and installed it. It looks very professional and works great.
