I understand being careful and thorough, but I felt like I went to a Toyota dealership and was only quoted Maserati prices. Inquired regarding modifications to the quote and the answer I was given was "this is why my boss told me to tell you". I called another company who is a master electrician and is doing the job they quoted me 12k for 3k. I was bummed because electric is something I want done right and was hoping to give this local company business but will never recommend them.

We have recently built a screened in porch on the back of our house and we needed wiring for outlets, a fan and a tv. We also needed spotlights put up on our house. Ray was quick to give us a firm cost on the job that was reasonable given the extensive work that needed to be done. After my acceptance, they quickly got to work. They were fastidious in their work and even threw out the empty tv box and fan box for us. Both Ray and Kyle were concerned that I was happy with the end product. The estimator, Mark, was wonderful and talked me through the work and then two techs (Chris and someone else whose name I'm forgetting) showed up promptly the day of the work and completed the job without any drywall damage (which I was actually anticipating given that they had to run a wire). One group was super shifty and we believe were on drugs, another rep visited wanted to shoot the breeze and BS about everything but the work he came out to survey. We also had a bigger name reputable company visit. Their rep was very knowledgeable and competent, but pricing was extremely high, the contract was also not itemized per service, but only provided an arbitrary flat total price for everything. Nonetheless we ended up selecting the big name company however to get the price down we chose to omit certain services and asked the rep to remove those items and send a revised contract with the new price. The rep refused to update our contract and said he would revise later after he came back to do the work. In my opinion not an honest practice to force a customer into business with you so you can arbitrarily update the number later. Should've seen that coming with their first contract. Frustrated we cancelled the big name, searched again and found Milton Electric. Was quoted an hourly rate plus parts over the phone. Their electrician Patrick arrived on time, was polite, friendly and professional. The quality of the work and approach was simpler and leaner than all the other companies and the final price far more reasonable. Could not be happier. Will be using Milton again in the future. Highly recommend.

I rarely write yelp reviews but these guys deserve it…read more With any service company (plumbers, contractors, etc.) you expect to be charged at a high rate, regardless if any work is done during the estimate (because you're paying for their expertise). These guys were not like that. They could've charged an exorbitant service fee for coming to my boyfriends home on a weekend for a partial power outage (within 4 hours of us calling), but when they came and realized it was an issue with the utility company, they didn't charge him anything. The quick turnaround, honesty in their work, and willingness to help others in a pinch really sets them apart. We called nearly 20 electricians that day with most asking for somewhere around $160 for 30 min plus travel time at a minimum or for us asking for an appointment next week. They took our call right away and although they seemed lax on the phone, it's clear they knew what they were doing and understood the issue we were trying to communicate. It's not even my house, but if I need anything I'm calling them first and my boyfriend will do the same. Added bonus: this is a veteran-owned business.

When I approached the worker he said he needed to use the boom on his truck, but all the time I was there he used a ladder instead. He was very inconsiderate and argumentative about blocking the parking spaces and all the no parking areas. The parking spaces are intentionally places nearest the entrance to a store for the use of the disabled. I guess this contractor did not get the message.
