back of the restaurant, on the pier

Visited back in Feb of 2026 for dinner on a Friday night while staying at Cape Canaveral at Holiday Inn Express, which was a 20- min drive away. Marker 24 is in a residential area and accessible by land, as this restaurant is on a waterfront, and most diners pull up in the little boats. There is indoor and outdoor dining; we saw a few people outdoors but it was chilly when we were there, so we opted for indoor seating. A few stalls for parking across the street, parking stalls divided by little fish painted on the ground, which was a cute touch. Happy hour was spectacular, with buy-one-get-one-free drinks and the food prices were super reasonable to us (coming from Hawaii, where everything is super expensive). My husband ordered a Spicy Mahi Sandwich with Potato Chips (instead of fries, that's how it came) for $20 and I got a roasted mushroom flat-bread pizza for $15.00 and our appetizer was the smoked fish dip for $15.00 which came highly recommended, and we did love it, but when we saw the crackers, we were laughing. We were expecting bread or flatbread, but that's just fine, being a waterfront casual restaurant. Total bill = $70.62 without tip. Everything was delicious, no complaints. Service was attentive and friendly. After dinner we took a stroll out to the back of the restaurant onto the pier and watched the sun go down. If we lived in the area, we would visit frequently!

Welcome to Marker 24, Dining on the Banana River

Excellent food, great service, and a very comfortable and relaxing setting on the Banana River on East Merritt Island makes this one of my new favorite go-to's for fresh fish! It's an open air setting with "indoor" seating under the main structure where, if it gets too windy, the employees can flip a switch and voila a motorized roll down wind break protects the diners from that sometimes voracious northeast wind off the Banana River. "Outside" dining, although not protected from the wind, does have propane heating towers spaced throughout in the colder winter months. There's tropical foliage for landscaping and it feels like you're dining in a small clearing in the Brazilian rainforest (without that annoying parrot noise, ha!). As far as their food, my fresh catch tacos were excellent. It was blackened Cobia and if you like tacos, and if you like fish, you'll love them!! The owner will regularly take his boat out and catch "the fresh catch" himself! Speaking of boats, this place has its own boat dock with enough room for several boats so if you're a boating enthusiast this is a great stopover for a delicious afternoon or evening meal. Prices are competitive with other similar seafood restaurants. Check this place out. Hours: Wednesday - Sunday: 11:30am - 8:30pm Monday and Tuesday: Closed

This place is tucked back in a residential area on the water. You definitely need GPS to find it the first time at minimum. Service was good, and the recommendations we had were good, too. I understand the espresso martini was delicious, and I loved my Albariño wine. The food: The fish dip was outstanding. Just a bit of a kick served with corn chips, which paired well with it. I also got the rice bowl with cobia and no cucumber salad. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Both parents got the fish sandwiches (one cobia and one seared tuna) and both loved theirs, too. Apparently, the seared tuna was perfect! Certainly worth a visit.

GET THE FISH DIP! Secret gem hidden. Amazing food! Had the lobster roll and sub mash potatoes for chips. So good... but the star of the show was the fish dip. Might be the best you will ever have... yes it's that good! Great service. Awesome atmosphere... very clean.

The environment was very nice & tropical. We had a secluded closed-off section that was surrounded by palm trees, a little sand, some privacy hedges, and overlooked the outdoor seating of the restaurant, and you could see the river where you may pull up to the dock in a boat. I don't understand why the hostess stand is all the way in the back, and our seating was in the first part of the restaurant. (The hostess even said she didn't understand why it's like that!) The breeze made it chilly. Most of my party of 6 was cold. I actually went back to my car to get a sweater! The food was pricey. I got the special. The food was good, but not exceptional. The waitress asked if we wanted dessert. I asked the waitress for some hot coffee, and she said they don't have any coffee. I asked about some hot tea...anything hot. The waitress said they don't have anything hot to drink because it's a restaurant with a dock and the temperature is usually hot. I couldn't wait to leave to go somewhere I could get something hot to drink to warm up before my drive home. I may go back for a lunch on a hot summer day when I have time to make the 30-minute drive.

Went for lunch on a Sunday at about 1230pm, it was a beautiful day with temps in low 70s, nearly ever table was full many many large parties. The restaurant is boat accessible and has a large dock for boats. We were seated promptly at a high top table under the covered area but it wouldn't have matter as all of the tables were protected/shaded from direct sunlight. Our drinks order was take quickly and served promptly (they have a full bar, we only did ice tea). Orders were placed and food came out in a reasonable time frame, especially given how busy the place was on the Sunday we visited. The fish dip was exceptional! As good as or better than anything else we've had in the Space coast area! It was so good we asked if they sell it to go like Atlantic Seafood at port Canaveral (unfortunately they don't). I had the captains fish sandwich with fresh catch-Mahi, it was delicious and totally worth the $6 mark up for fresh. Someone else in or party had the Cajun style fish sandwich with regular mahi and they were equally pleased with their sandwich, the spicing was perfect. Finally someone else had a the grilled Mac N cheese ( they weren't feeling like seafood) they loved it too! Went with the $2 up charge for guacamole and chips; we will get the appetizer guacamole next time as it was very good. Lastly the property is stunning! Just beautiful, note that none of the seating has air conditioning but on a beautiful day it's completely unnecessary

Our first time at this wonderful riverfront restaurant in Merrit Island. The food was fresh. Many of us had the mahi and loved it. The drinks were also very good. Service was amazing with our waiter Jaron. Oh and the dessert was also very yummy. Recommend you visit this restaurant.

"Best Fresh Fish Tacos in Town!"If you are looking for great seafood with a breathtaking view, look no further. Tina took great care of us--her service was impeccable and she really made our lunch special. The ceviche is a must-order; fresh, zesty, and top-tier quality. So refreshing. The fish tacos were equally fantastic! Highly recommended for a scenic, delicious lunch!" We were visiting from 2700 miles away and were thrilled to find this spot!! A must visit if you're a traveler to the area. Very warm and inviting.

This spot has it all! That coastal Florida ambiance right on the river with an incredible outdoor patio area is absolutely amazing. The service is friendly, knowledgeable, and personable. Then there's the food and drink. We sampled several items as you can see in the photos and absolutely everything was delicious. There was literally nothing that we could point to and say we didn't like or it was just ok, everything was so fresh and flavorful and cooked perfectly. We've decided this will be a go to spot for us when we have company and when we just want a great little outing. Give them a try! It's hard to get 5 stars from me, they earned it.

All the food is money. Lots of fish choices. Fresh catch is worth it $30, but other choices are good too. Lots of boat parking and the good tastes better when you arrive by boat. Live entertainment on Friday night Saturday and Sunday. No tap beer, but a really good selection of cans and bottles. Lots of local beers. Service is awesome. Support local, eat here.

Limited parking, all outdoor seating, but beautiful, new, on the water, clean!

Love to come to Marker 24 by boat or on land. They have public docking and bathrooms and a gift shop with snacks and fishing supplies and sunscreen etc. The food and the view are great, strong breezes and palm trees make for a relaxing Sunday!

I told her that he also wanted wings (eye roll) and she said "well, I didn't hear him order wings, so I didn't HEAR HIM". He is 12, he isn't a little child, and the way she interacted was horrible. Food came out and we never saw her again. She never refilled drinks and she avoided our table like we were the plague. Then, LOL I asked the hostess if they could do something for his birthday and they said they would let our waitress know. I joked with my kids dad and step mom that she's probably going to be farther annoyed that we asked, an lo and behold, she came over to the table and said "yeah, we don't do birthdays here". Inside is a tiki bar vibe, it is very small business and the waitress is super nice (and must deal with a lot). It was virtually empty when we went for dinner. Mussel and clam in white wine: okay the bread was not even grilled (I had expected some buttery smoked grill mark situation) and the clams had a lot of sand in them. There was a handful of dead mussels. And overall it was a bit salty and lacking in freshness. Mahi taco- inside was good but idk if orlando doesn't have a good bread place cuz the tortilla was soo bad. Like no moisture, fake tasting tortilla. Otherwise the fish and toppings are yummy and I can see why its recommended. Again not really the blackened grill flavor. The fries were real potato (russet) but also felt a overfried/fried too long at a low temperature because they were greasy and some were burnt.. The fried oysters were okay, on the smaller side. Overall, this place might be better for fried baskets and like fish and chips rather than fresh seafood experience. Also considering it is on the cape/island you do have to drive out a long way on a single road to get to it, so that might have also influenced my expectations. Again the service is good and nice if you do want to support a local business. Just for the price and repertoire, maybe I had higher expectations.

The place clearly has a strong neighborhood vibe. Even on a holiday, it felt like a regular hangout spot where many of the patrons seemed to know each other and the bartenders. That kind of atmosphere always adds a layer of warmth you can't manufacture. Service-wise, our waitress was very friendly and attentive when she was at the table. Food delivery did take longer than expected considering the restaurant didn't appear overly busy, but to be fair, it was a specialized St. Patrick's Day menu which likely slowed the kitchen down. Now to the food. My co-diner ordered the corned beef Reuben, served on grilled rye with a generous pile of crinkle fries. The sandwich was stacked with tender corned beef and had that classic deli-style balance of meat and sauerkraut. He described it simply as "very good," which from him is a strong endorsement. I ordered the traditional Irish stew with potatoes and cabbage, which came plated with a hearty portion of mashed potatoes. The stew itself had a few nice chunks of beef and vegetables in a rich brown gravy that definitely leaned into bold seasoning. The only note is that the pepper level was quite heavy across the stew, mashed potatoes, and cabbage. If you're someone who enjoys a strong pepper-forward flavor profile, this will absolutely be right up your alley. Portions were generous and the meal definitely delivered that comfort-food, stick-to-your-ribs Irish pub feeling. Overall, a positive experience with friendly service, a welcoming neighborhood atmosphere, and hearty holiday fare.
