This is a hidden gem. The food is fantastic and the happy hour specials are great. We started with the fish dip and it was everything you'd want in a fish dip. We also ordered the colossal shrimp and they were definitely worth the wait. I don't know what their seasoning combo is but it was excellent. We also split the burger and it came out fantastic with chips on the side. The chips paired well with the fish dip. The service was fantastic from the time we arrived. One of the staff immediately found a table for us and sat us. The staff, as a group, were very attentive and provided quick service. I would definitely go back. Also, there allow beach attire, so it makes for a good post beach dinner. The venue is open air which provides great views of the river. Visited back in Feb of 2026 for dinner on a Friday night while staying at Cape Canaveral at Holiday Inn Express, which was a 20- min drive away. Marker 24 is in a residential area and accessible by land, as this restaurant is on a waterfront, and most diners pull up in the little boats. There is indoor and outdoor dining; we saw a few people outdoors but it was chilly when we were there, so we opted for indoor seating. A few stalls for parking across the street, parking stalls divided by little fish painted on the ground, which was a cute touch. Happy hour was spectacular, with buy-one-get-one-free drinks and the food prices were super reasonable to us (coming from Hawaii, where everything is super expensive). My husband ordered a Spicy Mahi Sandwich with Potato Chips (instead of fries, that's how it came) for $20 and I got a roasted mushroom flat-bread pizza for $15.00 and our appetizer was the smoked fish dip for $15.00 which came highly recommended, and we did love it, but when we saw the crackers, we were laughing. We were expecting bread or flatbread, but that's just fine, being a waterfront casual restaurant. Total bill = $70.62 without tip. Everything was delicious, no complaints. Excellent food, great service, and a very comfortable and relaxing setting on the Banana River on East Merritt Island makes this one of my new favorite go-to's for fresh fish! It's an open air setting with "indoor" seating under the main structure where, if it gets too windy, the employees can flip a switch and voila a motorized roll down wind break protects the diners from that sometimes voracious northeast wind off the Banana River. "Outside" dining, although not protected from the wind, does have propane heating towers spaced throughout in the colder winter months. There's tropical foliage for landscaping and it feels like you're dining in a small clearing in the Brazilian rainforest (without that annoying parrot noise, ha!). As far as their food, my fresh catch tacos were excellent. It was blackened Cobia and if you like tacos, and if you like fish, you'll love them!! The owner will regularly take his boat out and catch "the fresh catch" himself! Speaking of boats, this place has its own boat dock with enough room for several boats so if you're a boating enthusiast this is a great stopover for a delicious afternoon or evening meal. This place is tucked back in a residential area on the water. You definitely need GPS to find it the first time at minimum. Service was good, and the recommendations we had were good, too. I understand the espresso martini was delicious, and I loved my Albariño wine. The food: The fish dip was outstanding. Just a bit of a kick served with corn chips, which paired well with it. I also got the rice bowl with cobia and no cucumber salad. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Both parents got the fish sandwiches (one cobia and one seared tuna) and both loved theirs, too. The environment was very nice & tropical. We had a secluded closed-off section that was surrounded by palm trees, a little sand, some privacy hedges, and overlooked the outdoor seating of the restaurant, and you could see the river where you may pull up to the dock in a boat. I don't understand why the hostess stand is all the way in the back, and our seating was in the first part of the restaurant. (The hostess even said she didn't understand why it's like that!) The breeze made it chilly. Most of my party of 6 was cold. I actually went back to my car to get a sweater! The food was pricey. I got the special. The food was good, but not exceptional. The waitress asked if we wanted dessert. I asked the waitress for some hot coffee, and she said they don't have any coffee. I asked about some hot tea...anything hot. The waitress said they don't have anything hot to drink because it's a restaurant with a dock and the temperature is usually hot. I couldn't wait to leave to go somewhere I could get something hot to drink to warm up before my drive home. This is a unique restaurant. A major plus is that this restaurant is accessible by boat or via South Banana River Drive off SR 520. They spent a LOT of money revitalizing the old marina & boatyard. The restaurant is in the old boat storage warehouse. It looks very different from when we used to do vessel safety exams there for the USCG. They did a great job fixing everything. It is in an old residential neighborhood with houses built in the 1950's interspersed with new million-dollar McMansions and to get there, you have to drive through an upgraded trailer park. This gives you a quick sampling of the real Florida eclectic lifestyle. It is worth it to drive the road to the end and see all the homes. One very unique point of interest is you get to drive over the only DIY manually operated drawbridge in Florida. Marker 24 is essentially a wealthy person's version of a local neighborhood dive. Super landscaped and even better, it is a first-class, up-to-date, well-protected, fancy marina. For people not from Florida, it is lifestyles of the rich and famous with champagne dreams and caviar tastes and prices. Palm trees, water view, sunshine, boats, and wealth. The "inside" restaurant is under a shed-like roof open to the outside with plastic fake wood tables and chairs. Outside seating is on green astroturf under palm trees. As a local, living on Merritt Island, we have the same tropical atmosphere at home, catch our own fish and BBQ it ourselves. Just another perk of living every day in paradise. The owner grew up on that same street as the marina now restaurant and his fishing buddy's sell their day's catch to the restaurant, so when they say fresh, they mean it. Not fresh flown in or fresh from a fish farm. Hours old or less. But it is an adventure for visitors. We went for Happy Hour. The BOGO beers were cold (would have been better in chilled glasses) the half price pepperoni pizza on Italian bread was good and the smoked chicken wings were definitely smoked, but a bit dry. Really needed the dipping sauce. With all the Happy Hour discounts, $45. If you wear your pink polo shirt with the nautical flag macramae belt and white shorts, you may just fit in. Ditch the white captain's hat ala Therston Howel III. It is an experience. If you are not from Florida, it is worth the experience. We will be back to try the smoked fish dip and catch of the day. And then go back to the dive bar that is within OUR price bracket. Bring a camera. read more

Went for lunch on a Sunday at about 1230pm, it was a beautiful day with temps in low 70s, nearly ever table was full many many large parties. The restaurant is boat accessible and has a large dock for boats. We were seated promptly at a high top table under the covered area but it wouldn't have matter as all of the tables were protected/shaded from direct sunlight. Our drinks order was take quickly and served promptly (they have a full bar, we only did ice tea). Orders were placed and food came out in a reasonable time frame, especially given how busy the place was on the Sunday we visited. The fish dip was exceptional! As good as or better than anything else we've had in the Space coast area! It was so good we asked if they sell it to go like Atlantic Seafood at port Canaveral (unfortunately they don't). I had the captains fish sandwich with fresh catch-Mahi, it was delicious and totally worth the $6 mark up for fresh. Someone else in or party had the Cajun style fish sandwich with regular mahi and they were equally pleased with their sandwich, the spicing was perfect. Finally someone else had a the grilled Mac N cheese ( they weren't feeling like seafood) they loved it too! Went with the $2 up charge for guacamole and chips; we will get the appetizer guacamole next time as it was very good. Lastly the property is stunning! I had an interview in nearby Viera, so afterwards I used Google Maps to find a spot to grab a glass of wine overlooking the water. This place was tucked away in a residential neighborhood at a private marina. It was just what I needed on a beautiful, sunny day. The bartenders were lovely and very friendly. There was a small family birthday gathering happening and more than enough space for me to sit and look at the water while enjoying my drink. Within 15 minutes I arrived was told I needed a reservation and a minimum of 30 - 45 minute wait . I told the girl about my phone call she sits us at a little table for drinks. I don't recommend this place. You have to go up to a bar to order. Food is ok. Fake grass floor. Looking out over the water is nice but there are other river side restaurants. Over priced for the little bit of food you get. I'd rather drive to Port Canaveral to Rustys or Grills. And Island Grill may be a bit more rustic but at least you get your money's worth. The stalls are grated and almost feel see through, and then gap on the door is right slap middle in front of you. The toilet didn't flush. And the sinks basin is too small for the type of faucet so it splashed all over me. The hand dryer was placed awkwardly high. The food was def overpriced mediocre food I could have definitely made at home. Very bland. They used bagged chips so don't expect freshly fried. Drinks were good. The live music was great.
