Not only is the Tiny Turtle delicious and a great value for the money, but my experience dining there and meeting the owner, Kelly, literally has brought my whole family and me to tears. I used to go to Cocoa Beach every year growing up. When my mom got sick with stage 4 cancer this past year and decided that she wanted to eventually have her ashes scattered there, we took one more trip together as a whole family while everyone was still around. My wife reached out to the hotel and a couple of businesses nearby with our story. Kelly invited my whole family in for a free meal, and showered us with love, warmth, and generosity of spirit unlike any other business---or frankly, stranger---than I ever encountered. We wanted to repay her for her kindness, so we picked out some cute hats from her shop, but when we went to pay her for them, she ended up giving us those too, and throwing in a deck of cards for my son. Lastly, after walking us over to her next door neighboring business, The Fat Donkey, to do the same (she had talked to them earlier), Kelly had such a moving, long conversation with my mom. I'm not sure what they talked about, but it was unbelievably clear that we all felt the same way about Kelly. Please please please go to the Tiny Turtle. Spend your money there. Give this business your love. Tell the waiters that you heard the food was good and the owner was even better. This is the kind of business that is not only bringing good food to people for a good price, but is bringing good to people, period. Loved the Caribbean fusion vibe. Came here based on a ChatGPT recommendation and apparently it's a local favorite that reopened recently after a fire a few weeks back. The staff were very friendly and explained everything. Everything is made scratch. The chips and dips came out first. The chips were hot and freshly made. Tiny Turtle was a fun stop with some really unique flavor combinations! We started with the empanadas, and they were absolutely fantastic. Crispy, flavorful, and a great way to kick off the meal. We also ordered the signature nachos with half pork and half beef. The meats were delicious, but the nachos are served in a bowl, which caused most of the liquid cheese to settle at the bottom. That left quite a few chips dry by the end. I also wish they had been a little more generous with their signature sauces because they're one of the highlights of the menu and I think a bit more of them would have really brought everything together and helped the drier chips. The PB&J BBQ sliders were a total flavor explosion. Such a creative combination, and it absolutely worked! My only suggestion would be a little more sauce and a few more peppers to really let those flavors shine (they were dry in some areas). The prices were fair for the quality of the food, and we really appreciated that they offer a military discount. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and would likely come back to try some other options. With just a little more generosity on the sauces, this place would be outstanding. The restaurant has a really cool laid back island feel. I loved the shrimp pinchos. The sauce was unreal. The black bean rice was moist and flavorful. I really enjoyed trying a local cider. They have a ton of drink options to include the largest selections of mocktails I've seen in the area. They had pages of all kind of Florida Brewery's. I absolutely recommend stopping in for lunch. Our server Grace and the other staff were great. The front patio is a great place to chillax with some apps and cool refreshing beverages. There's a nice buffer of trees so you don't feel like you're sitting right on the sidewalk. The Sofrito bowl with Mahi Mahi was amazing. I ordered a small sofrito nacho plate with mahi mahi. It had a hint of spice but was mostly covered in wet sauces. I have been to the tiny turtle so many times! They have outdoor seating and indoor seating. Not just that, they have outdoor seating in the front, but also on the side/back Ish. They have a nice sized bar aswell as indoor seating. I used to go to cocoa beach every year and come to tiny turtle! My family has multiple allergies including severe nut allergies, and some gluten/dairy sensitivities and the waitstaff were always patient and helpful! We came here one day while we were exploring the Space Coast a little bit. We have a buddy who lives out there, so we parked by his condo and walked over here to the Tiny Turtle. We chose the Turtle because it landed on the best places to eat in the US in 2024, which is a pretty prestigious list, so we were pretty excited. Ambiance was sooo chill. It's right next door to the best ice cream on the coast, the Fat Donkey. Thatched roof, tiki stuff, lots of outdoor seating. Nice vibes. Service was prompt and mostly the same: chill, beachy, islandy. Very nice lady. She struck me as the owner, or at least management. As for the food, we opened up with an appetizer. We got the nachos and for the protein, we chose the catch of the day, I think it was mahi that day. No one I was with had had fish nachos before, but they quickly became fans. The fish flaked well, and there were plentiful toppings that were layered well. It was also not a very large dish, so you didn't have to ration your protein too much. You could just eat and enjoy. I moved on to my main entrée, the Triple T Toastie (Scrambled eggs, white American cheese, shredded cheese, potato sticks, and Creme Caribe pressed in Sobao bread. Choice of veggies, bacon, sausage or ham. - Upgrade to all 3 meats). Of course I upgraded to all three meats. Very good sandwich. Excellent, quality fillings, bread that was pressed hard and delicious, and it was large enough to contain all the fillings and not be leaking out and falling out everywhere. A well crafted sandwich, paired well with the potato sticks that added a very satisfying crunch. I also got to eat half of a Wake up Burrito Scrambled eggs, potato hash, Queso Caribe, guacamole, sour cream, roasted tomatillo sauce, and Creme Caribe. Choice of bacon, sausage, chorizo, ham, Roasted Island Pork). Very good burrito, stuffed to the brim, and able to be picked up by hand, which was good, I don't like knife and fork breakfast burritos. Overall, this was a super chill, super cozy little place that can offer you a delicious breakfast before you head out to get your beach on. A Hidden Gem with Caribbean Flavor! We've been to Cocoa Beach many times and somehow never heard of Tiny Turtle--but now we'll never forget it. A few locals recommended it to us on separate occasions, so we finally checked it out--and we're so glad we did! The food was excellent--we had the Tripleta sandwich and the cheesesteak, both absolutely mouthwatering. The bread was soft and fresh, and the flavors were spot on. The menu has a Latin-Caribbean flair, thanks to the Puerto Rican chef, and it really shows in the seasoning and creativity. Service was great--Murphy took care of us and made the experience even better. The beers were ice cold, and we were excited to see Medalla, a local Puerto Rican beer, on the menu. It was quiet when we arrived--so quiet we almost left--but we came between lunch and dinner, so we get it. Still, this place deserves to be packed. We've learned they've been around for about 12 years, and now we'll be recommending them just like the locals did with us. Don't miss this spot. This is my second review one year later and the food is just as good. We've never eaten inside the restaurant as we always get it to go but the inside is a cool vibe with the bar room separate from the dining area. They have local art for sale as well as some merch and souvenirs. We called for pickup right at the transition from breakfast to lunch so our order took about 30 minutes from call to out the door. My husband and I were visiting Cocoa Beach for 4 days and went to lunch at the Tiny Turtle the day we arrived and liked it so much we went back for lunch the following day and breakfast on our last full day. The food is outstanding and very reasonably priced. The small soffrito bowl (about $11) is the perfect size to satisfy without feeling completely stuffed and uncomfortable. Their slow cooked pork is so good and moist. I had the same on my Huevos Rancheros on our third visit. I love Huevos Rancheros and I think this was the best version of it I've ever had! The eggs over easy were perfectly cooked runny yokes but fully cooked whites. I dug in too quickly to think to snap a photo first! The other big selling point for me is that they squeeze their own lime, lemon and orange juices so their house margarita at only $9 is absolutely delicious! It goes down too easily but with such a good price why not get a second?? Our second lunch I tried the mahi mahi tacos and I appreciated that the fish was grilled and not fried so there are menu options that are fairly healthy. This day I opted to only have 1 margarita and then have an ice cream at Fat Donkey Ice Cream directly next door. We liked eating outside on the front patio with the tiki-style thatched roof. Went here for brunch on a Sunday and we were sedated right away. There was only one server and one busser so the service was a little slow, but our food came out quickly.
