The girls behind the bar were awesome, friendly, attentive, and just had that effortless vibe that makes you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit. Now the food... wow. Everything came out fresh, hot, and absolutely dialed in. The burgers were stacked and juicy, the sandwiches loaded, and those sidewinder fries? Forget it. Crispy, golden perfection. You can tell nothing sat under a heat lamp, this was all cooked to order and launched straight to the table. Best way I can describe it given the location... This wasn't just good food, it was a full-on flavor liftoff. Like sitting a few miles from Cape Canaveral and watching a rocket punch through the atmosphere, everything about this meal just took off and didn't look back. My husband and I were looking for something different on Cocoa Beach, so we decided to try Big Daddy J's 5 Great Things after seeing the good reviews. When we arrived, we did notice the outside could use a little TLC, but once inside, it was very clean and tidy. We were immediately greeted by both the hostess and bartender, and they were very friendly. We were seated right away and our drink orders were taken quickly. It took us a few minutes to go through the menu since we weren't familiar with the restaurant, and there are quite a few items to choose from. We ordered the "Crack Mac Snack" (macaroni and cheese) and added pulled pork and the biscuit bread. The food came out quickly, and we were not disappointed. The biscuit bread was absolutely amazing, rich, soft, and delicious (maybe a little too generous with the butter on top, but still delicious). It's a thick, hearty piece, about two inches high and roughly four inches square. The mac and cheese was a generous portion and easily enough to share, and it was really good. The homemade BBQ sauce was also a highlight. The only slight miss was my husband's Coke, which wasn't very sweet, possibly a calibration issue with the machine. Overall, this is definitely a spot worth trying if you're in Cocoa Beach and want something different. There's a lot on the menu, and we'll definitely be back. read more

Cute spot close to the beach. The biscuit was a generous portion and very soft--great for sharing. It would be even better with honey butter, though I added a bit of barbecue sauce to give it a sweeter flavor. The mac and cheese was very creamy and flavorful. I also enjoyed the fish sandwich, which I added tomato and lettuce to since it doesn't come with them. The tartar sauce on the sandwich was especially good. We came here for lunch when we were visiting before our cruise, and in a space with a bunch of tourist traps, this spot is genuine! Don't sleep on the brined turkey...man that is delicious! I want to point out that I spoke with the owner about his cannabis drink menu because I thought it was so unique and a great option for people who can't or don't want to drink alcohol. As someone who doesn't use cannabis, he convinced me that next time I stop by, I should consider one of those drinks instead of a beer. Great sales approach! we're in Cocoa Beach prior to a cruise. Big daddy J's food.was so good the first night that we went back a second night and plan to go back our final night before the cruise! My wife and I shared the giant baked potato covered with brisket and all the toppings there were 10 in our group the second night and there will be 12 in our group the third night! Frito pie was really good, and I got the biscuit bread which I had no idea was like the size of an actual loaf! I got red beans and rice which came out more of a side portion than an entree, and the biscuit which I intended to be my side was beyond an entree size both were delicious! We got a chicken strip kids meal for our 2 year old and it was larger than many adult size chicken strip baskets and came with 4 strips.
