Market at Main Boonsboro may quickly become one of my favorite lunch spots in this side of Lynchburg. I had lunch outside at their Boonsboro Road location, and the food, atmosphere, and service were all relaxed and spot on. The front patio was clean, comfortable, and peaceful, with just enough activity to feel lively without being noisy. It was a great place to slow down and enjoy good conversation. Our soup and sandwich, special order burger, caesar salad, came out hot, fresh, and clearly made to order. These Southern-style dishes and classic sandwiches were full of flavor, and the portions were generous without being too much. The wait staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind from start to finish. If you're looking for a relaxed outdoor lunch in Boonsboro, Market at Main is an easy 5-star choice. read more

Celebrating a birthday with 7 friends and Market at Main did an awesome job. I was able to make a reservation on short notice and out table was ready when we arrived at 12:30 on a Friday afternoon. Our service was attentive and everyone really enjoyed the food. I'm looking forward to coming back soon. read more

Don't go unless you're expecting to spend $20 on a bad breakfast wxperience. First Watch is much better and run more professionally. Our toast was brought to us when we were done with our breakfast. Server completely forgot about it, without an apology. Hollandaise sauce came from a bag or carton and was served cold. Red "baked" potatoes were served cold. Breakfast is not rocket science. I want a refund!! Dahlias brunch on Saturdays is done right. read more

Hmmmm... first I had a difficult time finding this place because there was a huge tent in front of the place. Turns out it was a heated outside dining area. The sign was hidden behind the tent. I ordered the meatloaf sandwich with onion rings, a bacon, egg and country ham biscuit and a pancake flight. The meatloaf sandwich was delicious, very well seasoned and juicy. The pancake flight had three different type of pancakes ( one sweet potato, one corn and one buttermilk) all equally delicious. Once again nearly ruined by fake table syrup, luckily my order was to go and I could use my real 100% Maple The country ham that came with my pancakes was obviously a very cheap. It was salty and over cooked. Not sure how I feel about the biscuit. Texture was a bit grainy and didn't taste home made. I would come back here would stay away from the country ham and being my own maple syrup. read more

Food was delicious, fresh, and you could tell was made when I ordered it, and not just sitting around. Very standard brunch fare options. Staff was not the most attentive, but were still kind when they visited my table to check on me. Excellent food and great service. We enjoyed brunch today. The menu had so many wonderful options that it was hard to choose. I got the fried green tomato blt. It was huge and delicious! The dining room is smallish but efficient. They were very busy but we got our food fast and hot. I also liked that even though it was busy it wasn't loud as some restaurants can get. We ordered the stuffed French toast, sweet potato pancakes, eggs Benedict with sausage (eggs Virginia? ), and an order of fried green tomatoes. Everything had really good flavor. I was very detailed about my severe allergy to seafood (fish and shellfish) and nuts when ordering breakfast. The wait staff was caring about the issues and shared the specifics with the chef/cooks. When my food arrived I was told I did not have to worry about the crab on the same grill because "they cleaned the grill". (NOT GOOD ENOUGH). My french toast arrived filled with nuts! I am so glad market at main decided to put a location in Boonsboro. This is so convenient for early mornings when I don't feel like going all the way downtown. While it does have a smaller menu than Market at Main downtown it has most of the favorites! They also have a nice outdoor section so if that makes you more comfortable during COVID it is a great option. Their pancakes are amazing and I always tend to order one of their eggs Benedict options! read more

I tried this place their first week It was a bad experience. I attributed it to first week getting things worked out. Tried again last week. Eggs Benedict were well prepared but served luke warm. Grits were a glob. Worst thing was the service. Took me 15 minutes to pay my bill with only three tables occupied. Three waiters sat at corner table, one on computer, two on their phones. If you like overcooked, non-runny eggs on your eggs Benedict, wrinkly old fruit and pancakes that are burned on one side, then you'll love this place. You'll also really love it if you enjoy sweating while you eat indoors, and having to change your clothes when you get home because they soaked up the non-vented cooking odors, while you waited for the waitresses to finish standing around, discussing the schedule. Went with our 3 year old for an early lunch today around 11. We decided to sit outside (heaters outside were really nice on an early spring day). We both got the FGTBLT (my favorite, it will never disappoint) I had a side of fries and he had cheese grits, both were great! My son had a big chocolate chip pancake and a side of bacon (he cleaned his plate, which is rare!) an overall great Sunday meal! The server and manager made sure to check on us while we were waiting for our meals and our drinks stayed full. `We went on a Thursday night for dinner. It has about a third of the seating at the Main St. location. At one point, at about 630 pm, the place was about 75% full. They might need more space soon. Our party of four had about a 15-minute wait for our orders. I ordered the "Fish and Chips" special of the night, and it arrived with homemade potato chips, not the usual French fries. I had inquired earlier if the "chips" were crinkle-cut and was assured they were straight-cut. If you like thick home-made potato chips, you'll like these. I prefer them less well done and thinner. Maybe a misunderstanding. There was one server and she was a little busy. The food quality was good and approximated that of the Main St. location. The menu was pretty much the same. My companions had a burger combination,, a club sandwich and an omelet and they were quite satisfied. The cole slaw was agreed to be a little vinegary for their tastes. Parking is free and much easier than at the Main Street outlet, especially during construction. Aside from the issues above, service was friendly and good. The ambiance was much like the other outlet with the same sturdy tables and chairs. I'll go back mainly because this area needs a restaurant like this where one can get a quick meal. Prices are about the same as the downtown location. Whatever opening day problems they had, judging from earlier reviews, seem to have been resolved. read more
