Maybe one of the most overlooked places and best kept secrets for lunch. Their "MB kitchen" has the best subs for pennies on the dollar. Comparing it to other local places, you can really get some good stuff at an affordable rate. Pizza starting at $10 for a cheese 18" pie cannot be beat anywhere. Originally it was Sal's but now it's just a spinoff. But quality is amazing. Third coffee counter is also something to check out. Smoothies, shakes, energy drinks, and of course coffee is a great value. Nice dining area also. The only downside is their restrooms are a total disaster. Nastiest place to go. I don't know why they don't teach people how to clean the restrooms. They have so much staff there it's insane. I've never seen any other chain grocery store with that many people on staff at one time. Train them to take a turn to get that restroom in shape. Management should be totally embarrassed. read more

Today I needed to get an item off a shelf that was being stocked. I said to the guy doing the stocking, "Excuse me, I just need to get something on this shelf here." He said nothing, stopped stocking, crossed his arms, and left his cart right where it was forcing me to reach over and in to get what I needed. If had rolled the cart about 6 inches or even offered to get what I needed, he would have done a great service. Unfortunately, he opted for acting all bothered and disgruntled. New location right off 495, in a newer shopping complex. I didn't shop there, but walked through to use their restrooms. It's a huge, well stocked and very nice store! Looks like they have a nice selection of pre-made food available, along with a cafe type place. Lots of cashiers available. read more

Generally I love this supermarket. Easier to park and navigate than the Westford location. My issues, yesterday and a few month ago is the in store bakery. Whoever manages it is very sloppy. The last time he put cookies labeled "day old." They weren't day old. They were undercooked Yesterday it was a wheat demi Parisan bread from the basket of fresh demi breads. Problem, the date end of the bag was torn off and the bag taped shut. In retrospect, I should have check others. When home and bread opened, it was old, starting to stale. read more

Today I watched as an employee who looked to be no older than 25 be turned away from a downed register, which would be fine, but when he mentioned he only had 10 more minutes left in his break they told him that employees were no longer welcome to be rung in at the courtesy booth, and that if he couldn't make it through the line he was out of luck, with a drained face he looked at the express lane I was standing in, likely about ten people long, and was defeated, I watched him put his things back and leave, why even give them breaks at that point? I don't feel comfortable shopping somewhere that the employees are clearly not valued or treated right, do better. Make it easier to take pride in the job. read more

No mask- no problem! Don't get me wrong- I love market basket normally but I have to say, the way they're handling protocol during the pandemic is atrocious! I was there today: the store was packed. No limit to the number of people in the store. Social distance need not apply here. I photographed not only a customer with no mask but an employee with no mask on. Really?! People not observing the one way isles. I hate it but I just cannot shop here again until there is a vaccine. If you have any health problem, I would definitely not recommend shopping here right now. I usually stop at this Market Basket location if I'm coming home from visiting my sister and her family or my brother and his family. The prices (as in all Market Baskets) are fantastic, the quality is outstanding, the store is clean and offers a wide variety of food and products. One of the teens who works there even stopped at my car on his way to gather carts at the the cart carousel to give me a hand loading my groceries into the car. Such nice service! read more

The store is okay most times, but if you're going to post signs that say "mask required" why bother if you're not going to enforce among your employees, let alone customers? Yes, they do have lower prices on many items than the other local grocery stores - but at this point that doesn't matter the me anymore. There is another Market Basket right down 495 in Westford, a Donelans up rt. 2A in Littleton less than 1/2 a mile away or a wonderful Shaws up 119 a few miles the other way. Any of these would be a 100% better option for you than this particular store! If you would like: ANY semblance of decent customer service, being made to feel valued, to be listened to, etc., then this is NOT the store for you. If you want to shop there on a weekend afternoon and you would like to buy a loaf of white bread, some milk, hot dog buns, pretzel sticks, boneless skinless chicken breasts, or any other 'popular' item then this is NOT the store for you. If you don't want to stand in the check-out line - even the express line, for at least 20 minutes no matter how many items you have then this is NOT the store for you. If you do like being totally ignored at the prepared foods counter then shop here - they are great a that! If you want employees to be rude to you - you're in luck; that seems to be the norm here. If you expect that managers of a given department have no desire to make you - or any customer, happy then good-to-go at the Littleton Market Basket. It's really too bad because I like Market Baskets and this is the closest one to my house but it just isn't worth the inevitable hassle. My family always goes food shopping here. The location is very convenient. Milk is slightly on the expensive side, but everything else is good. There is a little backers where you can get smoothies, fresh donuts, soft serve ice cream, coffee, hot chocolate, etc. The eating space there is also very nice. This store is popular because Market Basket/Demolus has the best prices hands down. The issue that this creates is that it's crowded. The fact remains that if you want to save money, then you are going to have to deal with the crowds. People on here are blaming management and the store, but lets be honest with each other here, its the shoppers that are the real problem. Some common courtesy and maybe an attitude that you're not the most important person in the store would go a loooooong way. The kids stocking the aisles are a pain and don't move for you, but they are kids and you just have to tell them excuse me. I used to love this store. Lately, however, I have encountered incredibly rude staff. The store stocks the shelves while customers are shopping, and God forbid if you're in a stock person's way! You are made to feel like you are holding them up. Today, I made a mistake and picked up an item I didn't want. When I went to put it back, the person stocking that shelf just began to grunt and groan because I had to reach in to place the item back on the shelf. While I was looking at bacon, a guy holding a carton of bacon came to stock, and just stopped and stared at me, as if to say I was in his way. When I refused to move and continued looking for the product I wanted, he just opened the carton and moved in on me, so he got in my way. No, "Can I help you find something?," or "Excuse me." Nothing. The people at the courtesy booth are just downright angry and couldn't be bothered to provide any type of courtesy whatsoever. And let's talk about all the brand name products that keep disappearing from the shelves, never to be seen or heard from again. And no, Market Basket brand is generally not as good as the brands I'm used to. MB is no longer my go to store for anything. I'll be paying more at Donelan's, just a skip down the street, where the staff is pleasant and helpful, where I'm never made to feel like an intruder, and where my favorite brands are readily available. Paying the extra $$ is worth not having to be harassed at MB. read more

I really want to like Market Basket. They have good prices, are very convenient, seem to be loved by their customers and employees. However, after having shopped at Hannaford for many years, Market Basket cannot compete in variety of organic and natural products. Many products I purchased at Hannaford are not available at Market Basket. Some examples are, unsalted organic peanut butter, Stonyfield Farm's non-fat plain yogurt, They do seem to have better produce than the Hannaford does at its Chelmsford location. Their organic non-fat half-gallons are a great price. The biggest problem is when I do find something I usually get or something new, they are often out of stock. I was in on Monday and they only had two half gallons of their organic milk. They were out of the Sharp Light Cheddar Cheese Serious Snacking (product Hannaford did not have), too. I will continue to shop there to see if the experience improves. Perhaps it takes an adjustment period. read more

Market Basket Littleton is my favorite of all the grocery stores in my area. The selection and prices are great. The people who work there are friendly and happy. The vast majority of the time it is well stocked. I love shopping there. read more

Great products and pricing. Excellent pizza too......but it's like 128 at rush hour most times. The store jams the aisles with impulse buy products creating choke points. Consequently people leave their carts at the top of the aisles jamming that traffic. Wake up Management. read more
