They are an authorized retailer for brands such as Chrome Hearts, Jacque Marie Mage, Anne et Valentin, IC! Berlin, Theo, and many more. I was in the market for a pair of Chrome Hearts sunglasses and they had over 20 different pairs to choose from. Even the Chrome hearts retail locations do not carry this many different models in stock these days. I was able to find a pair that fit my face perfectly (see attached photos!) Naomi is the best! Market Optical(Tom and Evelyn specifically) were as good as it gets. Generally I'm not a big fan of looking at glasses or wearing them. It is partially due to most frames not fitting well or just looking plain embarrassing on me. I can honestly say I've spent the past 11 years avoiding the subject at hand, not to mention the countless optical shops I've been to that either had nothing appealing or the associates simply gave up on helping me. I finally decided one day to take a stroll into Market Optical and was greeted by the store associate Evelyn and my was she as ever helpful to me. Though I did not walk out with a pair of glasses, it strikes me as amazing that she really took the time to educate me on different styles and what may or may not work. It was basically an unplanned consultation without any crazy sales pitch. The most incredible part about the entire situation is that I hadn't gone back for roughly 2 months and as soon as I walked in she remembered me and pointed me straight to the pair of glasses that I now currently wear on a daily basis. Though I had thought I knew what I wanted, she guaranteed I would feel a certain with my current pair compared to the one's I originally wanted. It was the right pair with the right amount of flare to it. Best of all, they are flexible enough that my 1 year old won't be able to break it(something that I didn't even have to mention to her but somehow felt like she knew) The nicest part is the portion that hooks over the ears are interchangeable with different colors so now I can go from Green to Orange depending on how I feel a certain day. Tom was very accommodating in the whole process as well and especially during the fitting. He had me try them on and he made the right adjustments to the ear portion and nose portion ensuring the right fit so they don't fall off during any activities. He didn't budge with any of the silly questions I posed to him and he assured me that should I have any other questions or concerns to please contact him or his team and to not hesitate one bit about it. Heck, I'd be willing to bet that perhaps Tom could've been my optometrist if it really came down to it(as he's that good) It is safe to say that I won't be going anywhere else for my future pair of glasses should I ever decide to get another pair. You won't find a cheap pair or frames here but you're honestly getting what you paid for which is Top Quality and let's not forget how unique the collection they carry is. Market Optical WINS again! Of all the businesses I frequent on the Eastside, they are absolutely the BEST source of customer service anywhere. I've bought two pairs of glasses from Market Optical, one in 2001 and one in 2002. It's probably been five years since I went in the store. (My 2007 glasses came from Paris Miki in Crossroads -- what a DISASTER!) I walked in a week ago and Hunter smiled immediately. As soon as he was done with the customer he was helping, he came over, put his hand on my arm, and said, "Where have you been?! It's been FOREVER since I've seen you!" And he remembered my name. When's the last time Lens Crafters did that for you? Hunter and I had fun selecting frames for me to try on; my daughter and husband voted and we made some decisions pretty quickly. Hunter thought one pair was the most fashion-forward but there were two pairs that looked really good on me. I really liked the second pair best; the uber-fashionable ones were a bit too "boy" for me. He didn't have any issues with that and encouraged me to "follow your heart, you have to feel PERFECT in them!" Of course, not discussing price as we went, I'd gravitated towards two of the most expensive frames they had... I picked out a pair of titanium Theos from Belgium. They are GORGEOUS and will last a long time, though given that they cost over $1000 by the time I got through top-of-the-line Zeiss progressive lenses, coatings, and so forth, I do believe I might finally train myself to put them in a case overnight. It's easy to have a heart attack over the grand total, but given that I earn my living with my eyes and my fingers, and that I'm tired of having headaches from crummy glasses, it's worth it. OK, maybe the function is worth $500... the fashion is worth the other $500... I know these peepers will get me NOTICED and I have to admit that I enjoy that attention! Hunter was happy to file for insurance reimbursement for me and also gave me the paperwork I needed to apply for further reimbursement from my flexible spending plan. Tom, Nancy, and Hunter have all been with this store since 2001; Ginger and Mark are also very experienced. I really love that there are people in the store who KNOW me and who want everything to be perfect with my glasses. read more

I am sooo glad that I stumbled upon Market Optical. Everything about my experience there was awesome. Hunter addressed me right as I stepped in and immediately started helping me find frames that would look good on me. Hunter is a good salesperson because they are honest, kind, and genuine all in one. He found a frame that we both liked. Signing up for the glasses was a breeze because they can just call whoever has your prescription and transfer it over. The glasses came in at exactly when they said and they were perfect. I get compliments everyday! I mean, these frames really give me a "look" instead of just regular old glasses . I like that. Yes, these frames are pricey! I bought the first pair of glasses that I actually think look good on me! Within 5 minutes, I was matched with a pair of glasses that were stylish and fit my face well, difficult to achieve with nearly no nose bridge and big cheek bones. The frames were made by Bevel and I decided to purchase them. *note that they don't have an optometrist onsite and you will have to bring in your prescription. About a year into wearing my glasses - I averaged wearing them about three hours a day in the evenings - I noticed one of the lenses had permanent smudge/scratch marks. I procrastinated taking them into the shop but decided I should because no other pair of glasses had ever shown this defect. The lady who attempted to help me stated that because the glasses were out of warranty that there was nothing that can be done. But a guy who worked there overheard our conversation and decided to make an exception since the glasses weren't too far outside of warranty and couldn't come up with any rationale for the defect on the lens. I got the new lenses put into my frames - took about a month - and no sign of defect yet, but I do notice that with this pair of lenses and the ones I had previously, the lenses get dirty really quickly (usually less than an hour of wearing them in the house while I'm doing "normal" things like watching tv or using my laptop). With benefits expiring I had intended to purchase another pair of glasses from here - once again they were able to find me a spectacular fitting pair in minutes - but had second thoughts because of the lenses. I asked to purchase just the frames and learned that you must purchase the lenses with them "because of the warranty." Bottom line, love the frame selection. For me, the lenses didn't work out as well as other pairs I've had. I'm buying my next pair from another local shop and hoping to have better luck with lenses. If not then I'd be happy to return here for their great frame selection. read more

Attitude Attitude Attitude. I walked in there looking for a pair of glasses and was approached by the older lady withwhite hair the glasses. After showing me a few pairs of glasses, I mentioned that I was looking to spend about $500 altogether on a pair and asked if she had anything that would fit that. She looked down her glasses at me, took the glasses right out of my hand, said "not here," did an about face and walked away without another word. I have a few pairs of glasses and have spent more and less than 500 on them, and I can understand that certain stores only carry "higher end", atleast in terms of price if not quality, glasses. But the attitude?? I know that I will never walk into this store again and will steer anyone I know clear of it. Tom and his team go above and beyond! The staff clearly want to give you the best experience possible. I bought a pair of Lindbergs from an unrelated store in Chicago that refused to honor the Lindberg warranty. I was desperate to get my glasses fixed without buying a new pair, and I called MO thinking it would be a long shot. Tom replaced my glasses, contacted his Lindberg rep, recommended new lenses, and even lended me a pair of backup frames without charging anything for the help! The staff are super helpful and generous. I'm grateful that this store is around. A lot of high-end glasses shops tend to have unfair practices or hidden charges and pricing, but MO is transparent and helpful, and the staff are all clearly interested in fashionable frames and very high quality glasses. They do a lot for you without asking, and their hard work is reflected in how their customers feel. I could not be happier with my experience at this shop! Ginger was very helpful in picking out my frames and showing me the more unique colors they can order. Since Bellevue isn't quite the best market for really wacky frames they don't stock as many fun colors but a lot of their frames come in really unique ones. I ended up getting some awesome turquoise titanium frames. The bad news is you end up spending $700 on a pair of frames with lenses. The good news is I beat the crap out of my glasses and a year later my Kirk Originals that I bought there have nary a scratch. The Kirk Originals I bought last year are ridiculously handmade in France and take forever and a day to show up but are the most amazing glitter bombs I have ever seen. The Bevel titanium frames I bought this year showed up in 3 days. I only wish I could rationalize getting a pair of sunglasses there but I think I've spent quite enough money on glasses for now. read more

I've had a hell of a time getting my latest pair of glasses. Let's just say that for a two week order it took over 6 weeks to fully complete. But very litle of this was due to Market Optical. They're good people and they want to do right by their customers -- If I need new glasses again next year I'll definitely be heading back their way. Their sales staff is simply awesome. My wife and I dropped in with the intent of browsing, and were so appreciative of their staff members (damn, I wish I could remember his name) that we both ended up getting new glasses on the spot. They were friendly, helpful, approachable, and provided great advice. Their inventory is awesome, which is what allows them to be so helpful. They don't carry only your standard list of small-sized plastic frames, they have more exotic types and sizes -- for instance those that actually fit my dome. Amazing! But more importantly essential when you stare at a computer all day. My complaint with Market Optical is simply that when they encountered delays in completing my first pair of lenses (they goofed and didn't include one of the specifications the first time), they didn't call to let me know. I had to call them when things started running over schedule by a week or so. For the price I paid for these glasses, I expected much better notification and follow-up. To be fair, they did credit me back $50 for my pains, which was much appreciated. And they did a great job of getting my wife's glasses done early and done right the first time. And they were very accomodating when we determined later that my optometrist had screwed up my prescription. If I had just gotten a bit more notice from them I would give them 5 stars. read more

I wanted to take a minute to compliment the excellent customer service I received from Thomas McDonald at the Bellevue Square Market Optical. I'm pretty hard on lenses--I'm trying to get better--and I recently decided my current lenses were goofed up enough to warrant replacement. Same prescription, so I ordered over the phone and went to pick-up in person. Not only did Mr. McDonald swap out the lenses for me on a busy Sunday while I waited, he informed me that the lenses being replaced were defective and he'd be sending them back to the manufacturer--no charge to me for the replacements since the lenses were still within warranty. Apparently, the scratch-resistant coating hadn't been properly applied by the manufacturer. That kind of service and advocacy for one's customers is why I will be a customer for life and happily refer others without hesitation. Thanks again, Thomas! read more

One of the sunglasses I chose did not work well with my prescription and made me feel dizzy. I checked the lenses with my eye Doctor and he said the lenses were done perfectly and with high quality glass, the issue was the curved design of the lens. The team at Market Optical did not hesitate to offer me a full refund and ability to choose any other frame and lenses, free of charge, which I did. I was in the market for a new pair of prescription glasses to use as my primary set (I have redundant backup sets distributed throughout where I commonly would need a backup set), so after researching Yelp, I decided to stop here and take a look. Upon entering this establishment - I find myself looking upon a variety of high quality brand-name stylish frames, in a brightly lit store front. The staff here are very friendly (and take pride) in assisting you in finding a frame that will best compliment the attributes of your facial features. Some of the frames were of contemporary modern design, and others are of the most conspicuous and colorful designs. I was assisted by Hunter, which after I told him what I liked in my tastes for fashion, he found a couple of frames for me to try. Talk about finding a frame pretty quickly that I like right off the bat. Afterwards, it was time to conduct paper work and wait for the glasses to arrive, which took about two weeks. I'm happy with my selection here, and I'll be using this facility more often when I need prescription glasses or other eyeglass accessories. A couple of notes 1. It's pricey, but well worth it. 2. They can provide an itemized invoice to you so you may claim it with your Vision Insurance Provider. 3. It was busy on two of my visits, seven or more customers and only three sales associates. Don't get bamboozled like I did!!! I paid full price (nearly a grand) for a pair of new glasses and I was given the ones off the shelf. They never contested this and offered to get me a new pair... The replacement they tried to push on me was a different color and they made no attempt to resolve the issue. i knew from commercials that this was an upscale,expensive place so when the plastic (I think they are plastic) thingies that hold the glasses in place on the nose broke I did not think that the Market Optical people would help. But I was kind of desperate since one piece had chipped off and was digging into my nose. So here I was walking by the Market Optical place in the mall and decided I had nothing to lose by walking in and asking them for help. I fully expected to pay something but the fellow looked at my glasses and said this would be very easy to take care of. He just went somewhere to the back got come spare pieces to fit into the glasses, fit them in and finished! I asked how much I owed, he smiled and said nothing.
