This Market Street definitely lives up to the HYPE! I was truly impressed with the bar inside. It's simple, but cute and quaint. They have a nice beer selection and offer champagne, mimosas and wine. They even offer HAPPY HOUR! The mimosas are made perfectly. The price point is great whether it's happy hour or not. Who doesn't like to grocery shop while sipping on a mimosa. Or just stop in and sit at the bar. They have a few television screens to keep you entertained. The bartender is friendly and helpful. Honestly I would return here just because they have great mimosas. My Market Street doesn't have this option. I am so envious lol and would trade our Starbucks in a heartbeat. The flower section is impressive! They have a Noodles Vendor for a fast food option. This store is well stocked and feels big. It was clean and the staff were friendly. So every blue moon I will drive to this location and drive past my local store. I just love some of the things they have in this location. I watched couples come in. Still a nice store even though they sold out to the Albertson's companies years ago. I can get a few things there that I can't find at other stores. Most items are priced higher that H-E-B or Kroger. Coupon deals are good. A few weeks ago they changed their sign in process to mimic Tom Thumb (also owned by Albertson's) and it is so difficult to sign in now. Talking to customer service is impossible. Sadly they will continue to lose business. read more

Just another reason to shop here. Since Market Street showed up in North Texas, I have had an on-again off again, love-hate relationship with these stores. At first, they lulled me into love at first sight with their small, well-stocked stores. Then prices continued to rise along with a few other irritants and I grew away. However, competition lifts all boats as they say. Since the Arrival of fellow Texas grocery competitior HEB in the DFW area, Market Street are busy "sharpening" its competitive tools. I am so disappointed lately on my frequent visits to Market Street, what happened to the best customer service ever??? You put in self checkout which is Ok for those that want it. If I had just a couple of things I used it! But then you took the checkout guns , why?? So fast and efficient with those!! Then on Friday I went in at around 1.00 pm and before I knew it there was a line 4 people deep and to checkers ??? This never happened unless it's a holiday or weekend ( which I avoid) and all check lines are filled with checkers!! The manager at the self checkout looked over at me and my full basket and said" If you want you can come self checkout " I felt like saying I can do that at Walmart!! Good grief management what are you doing!??? Get this store back to what it was obviously slow is the new service trait!! Ugh I have been a customer here for 7 years H-E-B is great fast and efficient with better prices but I like the special features of Market Street, the sushi bar, the help at the wine area, the butchers are fabulous, the deli and bakery are wonderful ! Flower shop is the best !! BUT Management... you are obviously cutting corners on customer experience!! I ordered several charcuterie trays, a dozen deviled eggs, three different types of crostinis. All the fruit, vegetables, meat and cheese was extremely fresh. The quality at Market Street is really starting to drop off. I went in today and bought 6 of their steakhouse burgers, and two of the loco burgers. I should have known something was up with the person working the butcher counter tried to convince me to buy 4 packages of burgers from the cooler. When my daughter and I went to cook the burgers we noticed a HUGE problem. The steakhouse burgers were pressed together unevenly, and weren't bound together very well. Not what we've come to expect from Market Street. We couldn't cook them as is, so we ended up portioning out 10 half pound burgers from the 6 we ordered. Overall... I'm disappointed in the way the burgers were prepared, but the burgers themselves were tasty, as always. It was just disappointing to have to take extra time to prepare a prepared product when you were expecting a quick and easy dinner. read more

Recent grocery pickup was not a good experience. When I got home o realized 1 item was missing ($9). I called them, said they couldn't refund because no manager was available and that I should call back the following day. Later on that night, went to cut open the watermelon that I purchased - it was rotten. I'll be calling tomorrow to complain about this + missing item. I had to post a review after such a positive experience this week at this Market Street location. I had been to five stores just trying to do my normal two week shopping. I had about 15 things on my list that I had been unable to find. I went to Market Street, and they had everything I needed and a few extras. The produce was fully stocked, as were many of the other shelves. One of the assistant managers, Caleb, was bagging my groceries. He was very friendly and said they were running scheduled trucks all day and restocking. Great job!! read more

First time in the store today 2/20/23. Product selection was fine, somewhere between an Albertsons and a Whole Foods. The checkout experience however, was not friendly. The checker was friendly and talkative to the person in front of me, but when it was my turn to checkout, no greeting was given, no thank you was given either, and no good bye. Just stuck out her hand to give me my receipt. No eye contact whatsoever. Maybe it's the color of my complexion or the shape of my eyes. I don't make these statements lightly, but having grown up in Texas in the 80s, I know what this feeling is like and it felt the same today. Writing this review while it's still fresh in my mind. I ordered and picked up my child's food for his class Thanksgiving lunch today. I was little worried about ordering here because it was my first time having food catered. But let me tell ya, my kid's classmate's loved their lunch. They were asking for seconds and even thirds. I am so glad I bought extra food. They nearly ate it all! What I ordered: 1.) Sliced turkey breast (they sliced it extra thin for the kiddos -- super moist! Would highly recommend!) 2.) Mac and cheese (kiddos loved it, very creamy, ate nearly the entire pan) 3.) Mashed potatoes (creamy and garlicky, again, they loved it) 4.) Brown gravy (nothing to write home about) 5.) Premade salad 6) Fruit salad bowl (nearly all gone, kids loved this, but wish fruit was cut into smaller chunks) Also, I loved how they sell the hot food by the pound! I bought just enough. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. I had a food allergy I was trying to accommodate and I was able to look at all ingredients beforehand. That was a big plus for me. I love Market Street but this location is a mess. I went on Saturday afternoon around lunchtime for a quick nosh and walked in, stoked to see I was in time for free samples! Hooray! I like to grab and peruse but one of the ladies told me I had to eat the sample there at the table so I left and was almost sidelined by a teenage employee who looked at me like I was in the wrong. I grabbed a soup from the hotbar and a little wedge salad from the salad bar and went to check out. The salad wouldn't ring up and the girl refused to call a manager until about six tries. I walked over to the cafe area to eat and it was the boulevard of broken dreams....men in sweatpants and sandals, hunchbacks, you name it. My soup was cold which added fuel to the fire and I jetted out of there. I hate this location and will stick to my regular location. read more

Hey Market Street, I like you - but "No" means No. When I grocery shop, that time is sacred. Your store's team members need to understand that when a customer kindly turns down the offer of a helpful carry out... take that "No, thank you" seriously (especially from a guy like me). They literally attempted to force me to allow them to escort me to my car. If I walked in alone - there's a good reason and that's exactly how I'm walking back to my vehicle (and I have tons of energy, so taking my cart back inside is something I do - without being told). I seriously love this place! Always a great selection of fresh produce, friendly staff, and hello free wine/champagne tasting!! I love that I can find everything I need, get in and get out in less than 30 minutes. Great wine and beer selection, fresh sushi which isn't bad for grocery store sushi, and amazing fresh sliders (get the jalapeño one, often on sale, and delish!) One of my favorite things is their store brand tortilla chips. They are delicious and perfect for parties (only time I'll buy them bc I don't need the temptation in the house). Not sure how they keep them from going stale even if in the pantry for a month...not even going to ask...closing my eyes and ears at anyone who tries to tell me! Don't ruin the crispy goodness for me! I also love the fresh meals you can take to go. The meals are a great deal (meat and two sides for about $6). Salmon, green beans, and carrot soufflé are yummy (carrot soufflé is more of a treat...no way that thing is healthy). Place has a good selection and variety of all products, but the customer service is just hard to get over. The employees are even nice, but that only goes so far. Every time I am there it seems like more employees are on break eating or in line at Starbucks than actually working. 20% are actually working and the other 80% are there to socialize or get their steps in. Went to buy fresh corn on sale. There were only about 10 ears on display and what was there was literally rotten. Nearby produce employees explained it was early in the season and this was all they had. I suggested that they should just close down the display. Okay, time to find a new store for my catering needs. Last year I'd used Market Street for my kid's birthday party and was disappointed by the service and quality from the bakery due to issues with a cupcake cake (see previous review). However, I had been happy with the quality of the food we'd ordered through the catering department. So when we had a party this past weekend, I naturally used the catering department again for a sandwich platter. On the positive side, the bacon gouda sandwiches are really, really good. Definitely a crowd pleaser with great flavors. On the negative side (see photo): the second type of sandwich we ordered for our platter was "deviled egg salad." The confirmation email I received said that yes, I indeed ordered "deviled egg salad." However, we were given these gross little cucumber dill sandwiches instead, which I didn't even realize until the party was OVER and I had already told our guests the sandwiches were deviled egg salad. Just to clarify for the catering department at Market Street: deviled egg salad is NOT the same thing as a gross cucumber sandwich. Also, the email said we should expect a confirmation phone call 24 hours before the order is to be picked up. Never got one. Had to call ourselves. Not a huge deal, but don't promise us a confirmation call if you have no intention of giving us one. Would have been down to 1 star were it not for those tasty bacon gouda sandwiches. For a $50 sandwich platter, I expect them to at least get the order correct. Done with this place. read more

Why would I review a grocery store you ask? Well this place is seriously the bomb and just might be my happy place! The store has a good layout that is perfect for shopping and the employees seem happy to be at work. Nothing annoys me more than people who work with customers and are not friendly and just plain grumpy. The hubs and I don't cook , so we frequent the sushi area, made to order food area and premade sections. We have never made a bad choice in dinner! The food is always hot when its suppose to be, fresh tasting and the price is right! The Turkey Burger from the grill is amazing! This is also our Coffee stop - not only do we always get friendly service from Satero and his team of peeps, but unlike DD and sometimes even Starbucks they always get it right! They even have a loyalty card - buy 10 coffee, get your next one free! Yes Please! We don't shop here for "everyday goods," like a jar of mustard but we do like the produce, meats and wine! Can't say enough about Market Street. They have it all and it's all at a GREAT price! They have an excellent Hot food section where you can actually eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their salad bar is top notch and the coffee and smoothie shop is awesome! I don't know all the details, but I know they have cooking classes as well. They have excellent customer service and the freshest products! Their Meat section is similar to Central Market in that it is Fresh and on display, not in a sealed bag until you order it! Their seafood is cut right in front of you! The produce has to be strait from the field it's so fresh. I like the use of local brands with their meat and produce! Makes me feel good knowing I am supporting local farmers and growers. If there was an option for a negative star I would give them. Not the first time the quality was at disappointing level for this kind of grocery market, our family have been shopping at market street for a while (the one in Waters Creek in Allen TX,) and we never experienced anything than flawless, but here in Frisco Store they have horrible management that doesn't keep up the store at the expected level, actually its below walmart. Please look at the picture of chicken parm which we purchased for our party , since we we didn't want to cook that evening we went tho the Market Street and got ready meals, later on we discovered that all the chicken that we bought was completely raw on the inside, not just chicken, brussel sprouts were hard and uncooked, potatoes in potato salad were raw as well, it was a disaster, everything we bought here. Imagine your hungry guests, you offer them to eat and they find out a surprise that is very disappointing.... Just an awful experience. I went back to talk to the management and the service manager just returned my money, she actually returned less then what we spent there on the bad bad food so I went back for the rest of refund. She seem to want just to get rid of me and not make enough noise about this. PLEASE BE AWARE, IMAGINE IF YOUR KID ATE THIS , IT COULD GET SERIOUSLY ILL. I wanted to share my recent experience related to the holiday catered meal service at Market Street. This Christmas holiday, my wife and I opted to order our Christmas dinner for a small gathering. We have stopped by many times for there single dinners and we dined in the cafe area. Very impressed with the food prepared onsite. The roasted turkey dinner was great. We selected a couple more sides and also picked up some of their potato rolls. The meal was great and more than enough for 6 adults and even left overs. I really appreciate having this store near us. Great Bakery and fresh foods. I think the quality in the deli needs to be a bit better. It's hit and miss. Sometimes there deli has good looking food. But too many times lately it looks like a bad buffet. Also missing the PHO soup offered vat other stores. The Market Street on Legacy and Lebanon in Frisco just seems like it has better fresh quality if Fresh Food. Also I noticed today that when I went online to look for a new Vegan Dairy Free dessert, all the other Market Street Store's except Dallas Tollway Market were listed as having them. It is Wink Frozen Dessert. I hope who ever is in charge of buying for non dairy Desserts will add more choices in the future. Also you need a better Fresh Organic Vegetables section. I recently went to this store in Frisco, Rx on the Dallas N Tollway on Friday August 24, 2018. They have a salad I love but I normally go to the Market Street in Plano. I also decided to pick up a hot prepared rack of ribs for $12.99. I have to say I'm very disappointed. I thought I would be getting quality food and fresh food but it was awful. The ribs were so tough we had to throw them out. I threw out most of the salad too. The strawberries were brown and gooshy. The pecans were stale. I'm never going to this store again. The salad only showed the red side of the strawberries so I thought they would be good. read more
