We are regulars at Hareli since the past few years now. It sells produce, halal meat, frozen food items, idli / dosa batters, ghee, etc. They also sell ready to eat chapatis. We love coming here. Not only you get everything you usually need but also the staff is very friendly and helpful. It's my suggestion that you shop during the weekdays because the store gets very crowded during weekends. There is plenty of free parking available. read more

Clean. Easy to figure out the lay of the grocery. Ailes are wide enough that you don't feel cramped. (Tho, I went on a week day) They have a small bakery on the side where they make fresh bread roti. Have not tasted their in store made pastries but it looks good. Produce looks good, selection good. Cashier courteous. I was so very excited to find Hareli Fresh Market and also learn of the frequent shopper program. As a new "Youtube Follower" of the holistics, I'm trying to eat healtier, take care of my hair better, and offer better options to my family. Hareli's has alot of the name brands that I would normally have to wait weeks for if ordered online. The fruits and veggies are offered at a great price per pound. The variety of the spices are outrageous. There are also a huge selection of oils that can be used for the hair, body, and massaging as well. I was able to find very large pieces of ginger, garlic, and different varieties of onions (purple/red and yellow/white). Ladies they also have amla, fenugreek, tulsi which is great for hair growth! I frequently visit the Hareli location on Main Street, but for a change, I visited the Frisco Hareli for the first time. I purchased some meat (chicken and heart), but unfortunately, both had a strong, unpleasant odor--like they were spoiled. I've never had any issues with purchases from Hareli before, so this might be a one-off situation. I see debating on such issues in Desi stores(not checked in Hareli). Hareli Fresh Market is a wonderland of organic Indian products, snacks, and fresh produce. There is a counter where goat and chicken meat are sold as well as an in-store bakery that makes and sells fresh rotis and chappatis. Just tell them how many you want and they will make it fresh for you. I will order some on my next visit. I found myself browsing each and every aisle - honing in from time to time on items that sparked my interest (parathas, murukku, banana leaves, ragi crisps, and millet noodles just to name a few). As a first-time visitor, the quality, range, variety, and availability was quite impressive. I was even able to find the Arabic Flatbread that I enjoyed many years ago. It gave me vibes reminiscent of childhood. The customer service I received was excellent. Sushmita - at checkout - greeted me with a smile. She engaged in conversation and was knowledgeable about the establishment. Furthermore, she was friendly, attentive, provided assistance with locating particular items, and signed me up for the store rewards program. There was another lady helping bag the items, but I cannot recall her name. It was her first day and she was also very nice. This will be my go-to Indian Store for my future purchases. Me: This grocery store is close to our house. Hubby: Hareli? (sounds like "Ah really"?). If you like to juice, this is the place to get fresh ginger and turmeric for cheap! I will get pounds of both to make ginger and tumeric shots. These are expensive at other grocery stores but reasonably priced here. I also like to get egg plant and other veges. They have short hours so make sure you check before you go. Also, the smell when you walk in is at times off-putting. Don't let that deter you though because this little grocery store is worth exploring. In addition to veges, they have an awesome frozen section if you like Indian and South Asian cuisine. If you don't know what to get, just grab something and try it! I like to get naan, plain clay-oven flat bread to use as pizza dough. They are already triangle-shaped, so you only need to pop some sauce, cheese and toppings on top. Bake in the oven and you'll have a little slice of heaven. I also like to get frozen roti, which is kinda like a tortilla. I use them in place of pita bread which I think tends to get heavy. Roti is airier and has teenie holes in them. We use them to make homemade gyros and they are delicious. Again these are clay baked, so it gives it an extra added flavor. I also recommend the aloo paratha (slightly spicy flatbread with potato, reminds me of pupusa) and porotta which is this flakey flat bread that you put butter on and sit back and just remain speechless while you enjoy. This has many items from the Indian sub-continent. I have to keep checking expiry dates on the products. Expired items need to be removed from shelves on a daily basis. They have a meat counter, but recently the meat seems stale tasting. Their supplier is probably screwing them, owners need to look into it !! read more

Cool brand-spanking-new (was informed by the owner it's about a month old) International type market place. It's perfect location @ SW corner of Main and Teel by The Community Grill, boasts an extensive array of Basmati Rice, Indian ethnic spices, fresh produce / vegetables, nice dairy selection, amazing frozen instant food AND organic section... to say the very least!!! Great parking area up front, nice grocery trolley carts, absolutely clean & well-maintained establishment. My family & I were VERY impressed with everything we saw in the store. My hubby approached the owner who informed us that they'll have their meat section opening up in a couple of months time. Needless to say, we're incredibly excited since Hareli's is situated close proximity to A LOT of our fave conveniences around town. THUMBS UP!!! read more

What a great Indian grocery store. Do not hesitate to investigate this store no matter your ethnic background. There's a world of food variety and flavors to discover! We decided to try this store vs. our usual Indian market when we were looking for spices to make Gordon Ramsay's chutney recipe. Tamarind paste and/or block? Check! Desiccated Coconut? Check! Coriander seeds? Dried Chili Peppers? Mustard Seed? Dried Curry Leaves or fresh? Etc. etc. they had it all. Then we noticed their take-out restaurant conveniently near the check out lanes....sooooo, of course we looked everything over, asked questions of the staff and customers making purchases, and just like that? We had a delicious lunch of Tandoori Chicken, Samosas, puff-pastry triangles with spiced beef inside, and these really delicious (hot!) onion fritters! We purchased chicken from them and what was supposed to be whole chicken cut in pieces in one pack turned out to be chicken cut without any leg or breast pieces. This is simply cheating and that too at a higher price than what I pay to other vendors. I have already called them so am waiting for Hareli to respond back with a phone call. My 75 year old senior mother with heart failure was rudely publicly insulted by Hareli management when she tried to return frozen roti that expired nearly a year ago from their store. Hareli Fresh Market has a lot of things going for it, but management is not addressing several key issues. For starters, the check out lines can get quite busy due to inept and untrained cashiers, and unpredictable crowds. For someone that lives close to this place (and that's the ONLY reason I visit this establishment), a quick 5 minute visit to pick up some veggies could easily turn into a half hour drudgery. Not only that, after a long wait at one of the counters, the management would randomly open another counter to cater to someone that has just started their wait. Moving on, the vegetables are nowhere as fresh as what one would expect at India Bazaar (just on Preston and Main). Speaking of India Bazaar, they offer fantastic rebates for repeat customers. I know, as I have been shopping at India Bazaar for a while. For those of you who are not aware of the rebate system, if you are a shopper at India Bazaar, they identify you by your phone number, and after four or five visits, they give you cash back off your purchases (so your 30 dollar bill will be reduced by 10 dollars for example). Hareli also identifies you by your phone number, but they do nothing with it, other than probably using the data for their own purposes. In addition, the customer service at Hareli is non-existent...there is nobody who can answer any of your questions or queries. Hareli has a great fast food counter where people can purchase snacks and other eats including fresh chappathis (India tortillas). The offerings are great and fresh. That being said, good luck purchasing anything during rush hour. There is no line or any modicum or order. He who shouts loudest gets the attention. I would recommend management (geniuses no doubt) fix this ASAP. That would really help us all. In the end, here is my assessment FWIW: Pros: Nice establishment in an underserved location, clean, well lit and decently organized, decent take out snacks. Cons: Less than stellar vegetables, no rebates, zero customer support, unskilled cashiers, shout fest at the fast food counter. read more

Frankly I heard about Hareli from a friend in my community. And I had been here few times now hence writing this review. It's a nice Indian grocery and well spread out with excellent choices. Fresh vegetables and most of the food grain options are pretty exhaustive. It also has a eatery inside but I never tried it. The best part is its pricing is fairly on the lower end and I guess its because of this store being a new one on the block. All in all it's a good option if you are in North of Frisco AND otherwise also if you are price conscious intending to save good dollars on monthly grocery bill. read more

I used to buy Goat Meat from th butcher counter for the past few years and the quality was good. Recently the meat tastes bland and does not appear to be fresh. Either the supplier or the owner is cutting corners with quality. Or maybe the meat is kept outside on the cutting table for too long. I had two instances when the items I bought were spoilt. First time the dosa batter was sour and second time when I bought milk powder it was spoilt. I took the sour batter to the lady (I guess she was the owner or owner's wife) refused to take it back, but eventually agreed and warned me that we don't entertain any returns. Been visiting almost every week, I see them going south in customer happiness. They want to expand rapidly without having right people. I wouldn't put this big business in hands of part time student cashiers. They have very little knowledge of how to handle situations or price mistakes. You may get 10 cents extra for purchase but that will not encourage a customer to comeback. I would recommend all the customers to make sure you get the advertised prices on vegetables and grocery aisles. One more visit one more disappointment with cashiers they are very manipulative. Cashiers - Like many other posts here, really don't have skills, and also the empowerment to fix mistakes, they cannot make decisions even for 10 cents... check out line is slow and slowest I have seen. But the owner's greed has increased exponentially - rotis used to be good , now thinner and smaller - most items - same brand are $2-$3 more expensive than other Indian grocery stores. - they defraud people. Hello fellow Indians! Hope everyone is keeping themselves safe & sane during this pandemic situation! I wanted to bring to your attention about this neighborhood store in Frisco 'Hareli'. This is the store which I have been shopping for Indian groceries from the day they opened. This is one of the well stocked and clean stores around. Later they also added snacks, Curries and meat which became very convenient for the shoppers. Now in the last 2 weeks, because of COVID19, people started panic buys and were hoarding up groceries, which is not correct, but that is human nature and is understandable. In these difficult times, Hareli management decided its time to make some quick money and took advantage of the situation and increased the prices suddenly. They also removed the price tags for some of the items, so people don't notice it when picking up. A small example, they went to the extent of selling garlic at $5/lb where it was usually $2 and many items like this went up. I feel this store should have infact stepped up to its community and supported its own people by keeping it normal. We are the people who have supported this store from day 1 and they unfortunately didn't appreciate it and when the time came to support the community, they just started making profits out of it. Customers have plenty of other options and it is easy to take business elsewhere and now I felt I should not go back to this store. I am sure like me, there are other families who thought about it. Once you loose trust of a customer, it is difficult to gain it back. So please wake up and stop taking advantage of situations like this. read more

I have been going there from sometime, I do shop at other stores in area when I am around them. Difference is fresh vegetables, Hareli always got them, they are responsive when I ask for help. They keep vegetable section clean and grade out the veggies, same like lot of American chains. I keep seeing lot of new brands and store getting organized well, I wish they add more items to their deli. read more

Just a great store. All the vegetables are fresh and well refrigerated. You get everything- what one really needs. The staff is very attentive and helpful. Their meat market or section is somewhat hidden in the the corner and I like that. It just shows that the management respect to the vegetarian folks who visit the store. Very Well designed. The Chatt is a bit pricey. It is good and worth the price - I guess. Disappointed - the paani puri / gol Guppa was missing from their menu.
