Listen. I travel for work and eat out a LOT. Always looking for something good, local and fun. Market Street Grill is all of those things. Food, for lunch they have an amazing old school salad bar. Highly recommend! Dinner, the steak on a stick is crazy good and I have no idea how it is so inexpensive. Gotta have the chili as a side. Be sure to try any monthly specials as they are usually very well crafted. I always sit at the bar and Cayla is tending most nights and is just amazing. Be sure to strike up a conversation with anyone at the bar and they will immediately become your friend. Stop searching for where to eat in Wabash and just go to Market Street Grill! read more

The train decor is amazing and includes a train traveling around the wall close to the ceiling. The best items were the lettuce wedge, NY strip (get the garlic butter!), and the steak on a stick. There are no bad choices on the menu. The staff is great, they work well together, too. Jasmine and Kennedy over several evenings took very good care of me and a colleague while visiting town. We had heard good things about Market Street Grill and decided to try it while in town for a show at the Honeywell Center. The front of the restaurant has a lot of character and charm, the back "overflow" room, less so. The 1lb Chop and BBQ Sampler will not disappoint. Highly recommended. It was very busy so reservations are a must. And on nights where there is a show at the Honeywell, their menu may change from what is posted online. The menu we got was missing several items that were listed online, including all the hamburgers! Our server, Cayla had several large tables to look after and her service was still fantastic. your hostess staff are in need of some retraining! when a customer leaves a voice mail to make a reservation and the message clearly says "this is the manger and if you leave your request and contact info we Will call you back" well then we expect a call back! we arrived 11/8/25 thinking we had a reservation for 6 people at 6pm only to be told that your hostess staff doesn't even check the voice mails, that is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! Popped in one Saturday evening just after it opened and the place was already hopping. I guess that's because it's one of the few decent, non-chain places in Wabash. When the Number 4 restaurant on Yelp! is a "Goodfella's Pizza," it says something about the area's food scene. Overall, Market Street Grill was decent but not stellar. Here are my reasons. First, as I do when I'm eating alone, I took a seat at the bar. At that point, I was the ONLY ONE at the bar, yet the bartender took her sweet time even acknowledging me. When I was tending bar, the very FIRST thing I did was acknowledge my guest, even if it was to say, "Hi! I'll be with you in a second." When she finally got to me, she took and filled my drink order quickly, and then resumed her conversations with the other servers. Little attention paid to her sole guest, and that didn't change much when others started sidling up to the bar, except for a couple of guests who were apparently regulars, and whom she knew. Professional bartenders engage their guests (unless, like one whose nose was in their phone, they clearly want to be left alone) and make them feel welcome. Not the case here. The food: Good, but not great. I started with the chef's special French Onion soup. The broth was rich, if a little salty. The cheese on top was skimpy, as were the onions. The soup could have used more. And the chef (more likely line cook) needed to pay more attention to the preparation. I found several pieces of papery onion skin AND a whole bay leaf in my small cup. Not a deal-breaker, but it shows lack of attention to detail. As did the prime rib sandwich. I'd expected shaved prime rib but that was not the case. Instead, it was a single thin slice of meat, which would have been fine except my slice had a piece of fat about the size of a Kennedy half-dollar (remember those?) smack in the middle. The kitchen should not have let the entrée go out like that. There are several simple ways to have worked around it, and they should have picked one. Given the lack of decent, non-chain offerings in Wabash, I may be back, though I probably won't sit at the bar unless someone different is behind it. read more

Had a Wednesday night date night out at Market Street Grill. It was our first time. It wasn't busy at 5:30 when we arrived but it was much busier when we left at 6:30. Food was excellent and service was great. My wife had the Tuscan Chicken Tower and I had the Bourbon Glazed Pork Chops. Highly recommend both of them. Was very good and we will be back! read more

We stopped here for lunch based on recommendations from two separate locals. There weren't a lot of options, so we went with the Hoosier specialty, a breaded tenderloin. This tenderloin was terrific. It was large and had a ton of flavor. The onion rings served with it were fine, I'd probably go with fries or another side next time, but I would happily eat the tenderloin again. Pitiful.. I have been a customer for many years. I ordered off the menu crab cake appetizer. The menu clearly states crab cakes (plural.). The waitress brought me one crab cake cut in half. I asked her and she admitted my serving was one crab cake cut in half for $13.00. What a disgrace and deceitful way to run a restaurant. On top of that the crab cake appetizer was burnt. read more

I felt like someone should have yelled "Norm" when I walked in the bar area. The food was plentiful and okay. The signature stuffed mushrooms were more cheese on mushrooms than what I expected. Steak was dependably decent and the wall-eye was decent. The menu was varied from pork tenderloin to filets. Service was terrific. read more

My go to when I am in Wabash. Great location excellent service as always. I had the flaming young my friend had the barbecue ribs. Both were super tasty tonight. I decided to order the mushroom caps and while I was blown away, they were so good best I've had in a while, the strawberry butter that comes with a complementary bread is a must try. The only thing that I can complain about is I was seated right behind the hostess station three to four females and one male stood there and chitchatted the whole time, so it was quite hard for me to have a conversation with my friend. We made a reservation two months prior. If not three months and we were seated right behind the hostess station near the door. I walked in without a reservation and I've gotten a better table my only complaint, but I will always return when I'm in the area. read more

We went here for my friend's birthday and we had a blast. We didn't have reservations and we only had to wait for about 15 minutes! The service was good for being as busy as they were! Came for dinner before a concert. Made reservations and got right in, although busy. Parking can be difficult to find and may require a walk. Service was very good. Food was not great. Would have probably gone with a 2 star, but the dessert alone deserved an extra star. Ribs were very fatty and tough to eat. Fish was decent. Sides were average. We had such an excellent experience here on out first visit. I wanted to treat other members of my family here for my birthday dinner before the show. We have a well-mannered 12-year old with us. We arrived just as they opened and were the first ones there. They refused to seat us as they have a policy of no one younger than 16 is permitted. Pleading with the manager was pointless. As a life long resident of wabash I tend not to have time to go sit down anywhere for lunch. Decided to take time to visit MSG when they opened at 11. I had completely forgot how wonderful their salad bar is! It was packed full of options ( they have a lunch menu as well)! It was clean, tidy and easy to navigate Only thing I might change is the cracker basket was in a corner and I had to go back looking for them! Maybe a little sign or closer to the bar would be better! Hot items ( such as cheeseburger sliders, ham and cheese sliders, and filled wontons ) Two kinds of soup, ( Blt is their house soup and it's always amazing)!! fresh salad options, several cold salad options, ( macaroni salad, potato salad) a wonderful horseradish cheese dip, crackers, fresh veggies and three kinds of pudding desserts ( chocolate, strawberry and another I didn't have but looked amazing)! The staff is fun and attentive! Our waitress was super sweet and their sweet ice tea is great! Sorry no pictures I was too busy eating! Lol The daily hot section changes so if you go often it's always a nice variety! I got there at 11 and it was laid back! Very busy at noon which is always a good sign! Overall, we had a great experience at this restaurant when visiting Wabash. The service was absolutely amazing-friendly and quick and treated you like regulars. The food was decent, but my salmon was a little dry. My husbands steak was cooked perfectly and the peanut butter pie was the best we've ever had. I found this restaurants when searching for a decent place to dine at prior to a show at the Honeywell Center. I reviewed the menu prior to and found things on the menu that everyone in my party would enjoy with multiple choices on the menu. I made reservations well in advanced and was looking forward to dining here. Upon arriving, since we had reservations and we were seated very quickly. We began looking at our menus and thought there was a page missing from the menu. I was confused because the menu we received did not have all of the choices that were showing on their website. The sever came to our table to get our drink order and I asked if there was a page missing from the menu. She proceeded to tell us that on show nights at the Honeywell Center, they have a limited menu due to time constraints and getting people in and out. Totally understandable and I have no problem with a limit menu...the problem I do have is not be made aware that there was a limited menu prior to deciding upon this restaurant. I do not see anywhere on the website or the reservation site stating this information. So, not knowing that there was a limited menu, we agreed on this restaurant based on the menu provided on the website...otherwise we would not have chose this restaurant. We wanted tenderloins and burgers and none of that was available on the limited menu! Now, I have not one complaint about the service or the food we ended up ordering. Everything was tasty, service was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. However, I do think that the fact that a limited menu is served on show nights and not all menu items are available, should be made known on the website, social media, or wherever it needs to be seen. This place makes a beautiful crossover from the motif and menu of an upscale restaurant and the down to earth charisma of the service. The people here are small town sweet. I had a cup of Gumbo and the Jambalaya. Just looking at the dish you can tell everything was made from scratch and there is pride in the details. Most people come here for the hot dog and salad lunch buffet. Would be nice if there was Ubers or Lyft in this town so I can try a dinner and have a few drinks. read more

I've had good food here before and the atmosphere and service is good, but the last time I went for lunch it was not good. I ordered the Rueben and it just seemed pretty lazy to me. Not much corned beef, a little tiny side of thousand Island and sauerkraut and the fries seemed old and limp. Given, we went in there for a late lunch, but if you're going to serve old fries you probably should just close it down until dinner. And how hard is it to get a rueben right? I would definitely go back to this place, but someone might need some better management in the kitchen. read more

Stopped by here last month during a business trip. Quaint little spot right in the heart of downtown, plenty of booths to sit at and a nice looking bar area. The restaurant is filled with tchotchkes but had a great nostalgic feel to it. Server was super-nice and very friendly when taking our order and serving our meals. We all started off with a specialty of theirs...BLT soup. It was creamy and really did taste like a BLT sandwich! For dinner several of us tried the drunkin' chicken (I had mine with a side salad). The salad was large and full of "typical" veggies, their ranch dressing was just fine. The chicken breast they served was HUGE! It was breaded and deep fried, then covered with their mushroom cream sauce which had a bit of a tang to it. The flavor was nice, but the dish turned out to be a bit monotonous. Highly disappointed in this place. The atmosphere of the front room looks pretty cool but the backroom is creepy and weird and looks like a cross between Cracker Barrel and your grandma's house. Service was hit and miss. The most memorable part of this place is that it has the worst pork chop I've ever had in my entire life. I couldn't even eat it. It's always a treat to have dinner here when Katie and I come to Wabash to visit her parents. Such a fun environment with an excellent staff. Great drinks and even better food! I ordered a New York strip with rice. Get your steaks with the market rub! You won't regret it. They also usually have many dessert pie options unfortunately they didn't have my favorite peanut butter pie but I got the turtle cheesecake in its place, was just as good. We decided to go here for dinner before a show at the Honeywell Center. This was my husband and I and another couple. When we went in, the place has low light ambiance. The noise level was moderate for in the middle is the bar and it is a whole circle and it has TVs there. On the outside anyone can be seated that is 16 years and older. I'm not sure why it is 16 but that's what the sign says outside the door. There is another room where we were seated were you walk through a hallway and you're seated in the back. I wonder if that is where all the reservations were. Because everybody sat down the same time as us, finished her dinner the same time as us and we saw a lot of the people at the show. Needless to say, the place was packed. Our waitress was very good and made sure our drinks were refilled appropriate times and helped us out with the menu. She definitely had a lot of people to take care of. She said once the show starts at the Honeywell Center then the place is super quiet. So if you want to eat on a night that there's a show wait until the show starts and go in and eat. They don't have a drink menu but if you ask them for something they can make it. I had a pineapple Long Island iced tea and I got it short. It was very good. As far as appetizers we started out with the stuffed mushrooms and the wontons. Both were very wonderful. The mushrooms are not what you see as typically "stuffed". It's stuff that's on top of these mushrooms that are flat but it's still very good. The wontons were very good and recommend. The two men ended up getting chilly that the restaurant just had a chili cook off and won first place. In both of them like the chili very much. My husband got a fish and chips basket and it was good. Oh I got the bourbon barbecued pork chops, with baked potato and or house salad. The pork chops they were just OK. They were dry and thinner than I expected for the price. Honestly I really didn't care for them. The baked potato was your typical baked potato in the house salad was your typical house salad. So everything was just OK for my plate. My friends plate was the shrimp on a stick. For the price of it, we were kind of surprised that it was only one stick with the skewed shrimp on it. Got the rice and a potato. Honestly, I probably wouldn't come here again unless it was the only restaurant in town. I felt the stuff that we got was not worth the price we paid for. As far as the atmosphere it's a good place probably to come and watch sports or if you want to do like a quick lunch just watch what you order. All four of us were really disappointed in our meal. This restaurant gives the impression that's its upscale, but in fact, it seems like it can't quite make up it's mind. While the menu and prices reflect a nice restaurant in the city, the quality and presentation of the actual food reminds me more of a casual diner. My ribeye steak was 50% fat, which was unfortunate because I paid $30 for it. The seasoning was decent, but the medium rare came out medium/medium well. I'm not exactly sure how one messes up a steak at a steakhouse. In addition, our waitress was very crude and rough around the edges. She kept interrupting our conversation and made it all about her (attention seeker). However, she was a nice person. She was clearly untrained and the service we received was inappropriate for the scale and setting of such an establishment. I personally was not impressed by my visit, but perhaps your experience might be different. Final note: avoid the cheesecake at all costs. It's not what you'd expect - and is more like a block of flavored cream cheese on a plate. read more

Went for dinner with some friends. Ordered the two pork chops picturing in my mind some thick juicy chops to eat based on the price. My friend ordered the medium rare prime rib. When my chops arrived it looked like two 1/4 inch thick slices of spam. My friends medium rare prime rib was maybe a half inch thick,WELL done and looked like a piece of shoe sole. We went last evening for my birthday dinner and had no problem with being seated. Waitress was nice and took our drink orders and we ordered the stuffed Mushrooms Caps. They were pretty Good. I ordered the Chicken Scampi which was a kinda small portion and the pasta sauce was really thin and lacked good flavor. The chicken was grilled and moist and not rubbery at all and was really good. My husband ordered the Zydeco Shrimp and the shrimp was really good just a small Portion again. We were only offered bread once and never asked again if we would like any more. The ambiance there is pretty Cool. The only thing is the size of portions is small for the prices and food could use a kick in flavor big time. read more

We drove up from Indianapolis to see a musical at the Honeywell Center and Market Street Grill was a great choice for dinner. It's within walking distance to the theater. We ordered filet and shrimp. Both were very good and the filet was very juicy and grilled perfectly to order. The salad dressing was particularly delicious (the French was so yummy that we dipped our bread in it). The BLT soup was interesting...it took a few bites to figure out what I was tasting. I've never had soup with small bits of lettuce in it. We ordered cheesecake which were really good size pieces...definitely could have split. read more

Small children aren't allowed. The front room has a bar in the middle so no one under 21 allowed. We were told small children aren't allowed in back. I can't believe this wasn't mentioned somewhere. Nicki was our server and she was beyond awesome. We are in from out of town and she helped us with menu selections and activities in the area. Our meal was really good. We started with the bangin' shrimp. Delicious!! Nicki kept the bread coming and the strawberry butter was wonderful. The steak on a stick was delicious and very tender. We also enjoyed the vegetable alfredo, and shrimp scampi. And the chocolate cheesecake and coconut cream pie were to die for!! read more

My wife and I went for a special event, and hoped for a special dinner, but alas, it was not to be. Ordered the Prime Rib, and it came out lukewarm. The au jus came out in plastic cups. I ended up paying $100 for the meal, and we don't drink alcohol. I wish I could give them a glowing review, but unfortunately I cannot.
