    To go "Smoked" meats
    Emily S.

I really wanted to give 5 stars but I think there are a few kinks Albertsons needs to work through. First parking. So set in kind of a spot with streets around it. Weird parking. And of course people in ABQ have a "driving issue" so makes it much worse. Second big big shout out to Starbucks baristas! Went on day opened and they were so nice and not that busy. It's actually in a good location. Third kind of set up with the little areas like bakery, specialty take out, and more. It's nice but no comparison to say the Pavillions I remember in California. Or even Winco in CA, AZ, NV and more. It's like a partially flushed out concept. Lastly I still don't get who owns what now. This is NOT the CA Albertsons, very confusing, but obviously part of what at one time was Vons as carry their generic brand I think called "organics". We never liked the meat department of Albertsons in CA and I have to say their meat is "meh". Kroeger, sprouts and Whole Foods will be our meat go to. Also the talavera etc pretty high priced. We were just in Colorado and their prices in touristy areas were lower than here. There are things I will go here for but hope they kind of review the design.

For teacher appreciation week, our PTO treated all the teachers to sandwiches!

I didn't get a chance to come here in person, but I'm hearing rave reviews. "It's like Whole Foods and Albertsons had a child". As an elementary school teacher, I was treated to one of their sandwiches for Teacher Appreciation Week! I chose the Tuna Salad Sammy just because I'm a fan, and am in search for the best one in ABQ. This sandwich was pretty good. The whole thing came with chips, fruit salad and a homemade white chocolate cookie! Great presentation, the only thing I would change is the ratio of bread to Tuna. I needed a bit more tuna for the huge slices of bread! But other than that the Sammy was a solid 7.5/10. Would like to check out Market Street in person soon!

With the exception of everything being quite pricey, this store is amazing! Hubby and I visited for the first time over the weekend after a swift trip to the RUST ER and we were pleasantly surprised. The bakery was AMAZING! Reminds me of Wegmans or Whole Foods! Awesome selection and quality - however you get what you pay for, it's not cheap. Same sentiment with the meat department. Gorgeous selection of everything however it does come at a premium. The hot food section was my favorite part as well as the sushi. We had sushi made to order and it was very good! The price was very competitive, and the sushi was fresh and well made! The deli carries my favorite brand of cold cuts - Boars Head! The service from start to finish was great and the employees very kind and helpful. The store was clean and well-kept however it is brand new so should be. Great store, lots of inventory and specialty items! Should definitely check it out!

Long line for the best smoked meats in town. Brisket! Burnt ends?

This is the newest kid in town. How can you go wrong with the best of the best? This is the Pride of New Mexico. The company is based out of Lubbock, Texas, as part of the United Family Markets. I can best describe it as Albertson's on steroids! Ha! They have their own smoke house with brisket, burnt ends, ribs, and more. Yum! There is a Japanese noodle section followed by the fresh made sushi. Then the hot bar with fried chicken, baked chicken, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, fried okra, catfish, salmon, meatloaf, chicken friend steak and tons more sides. Next is the amazing cheese section, followed by the freshly cut Boar's Head deli meats and cheeses. The bakery follows. The rest is amazing with fresh meats dnd fish and the usual grocery items. There is a pharmacy, and the best home goods section. There is a lot of Frida Kahlo stuff. Wonderful soaps and fragrances and stuff to pamper yourself. There is a Starbucks and 200 seats to sit down and enjoy your takeout meals. Across the parking lot is the gas station with reasonably priced gas. Put this place on your bucket list today. There is nothing like it in New Mexico.

Gotta love something different. This isn't your parent's grocery store, it's much more. Some stores have a small selection of ready to eat meals. Here you can choose from 2 large cases of different meals. If you want to eat something now there's fresh sushi, a pit bbq, comfort food and a large seating area to dine in. Can't forget the Starbucks coffee. Did I mention they have groceries too? Every employee we talked to was cheery, friendly & helpful. If you're tired of the same old grocery store this is the place you've been looking for.

    Fat removed from brisket.

My first time to eat at market street. BBQ was shredded and not sliced and very fatty -see my pic. Cole slaw was ok and pinto beans had strange taste. I ordered the 1 meat combo for $13. Did not meet my BBQ craving or expectation.

Worst BBQ avoid at all costs

The store bus great but the BBQ station is absolutely disgusting. Avoid the Smok'd BBQ food station. By far the worst BBQ I've had in RR/Albuquerque. Bad flavor, BBQ sauce is worst than Kraft, the prices are crazy. This plate was $19 and took me almost 15 minutes to get thru the line. Save your money and go to Rudy's

The berries looked lovely but simply too much frosting on the cake.

I felt slightly embarassed to not have tried Allsup'sburritos (e.g. chimichanga) for the past years…read morethat I lived in NM! I was recently in Santa Fe running errands and really stopped by Allsup because I just needed an hour to kill. I figured I would grab some snacks to eat...and decided to stop by a gas station that was nearby..and..surprisingly discovered Allsup's burritos for the first time!! I had a green chile and cheese burrito with a cold bottle fo soda..and...wow...I was so hooked that I was debating going in there to get a second burrto! It was so good to the point I had to look up Allsup's burrito online and that was when I discovered the whole cult following Allsup's burrito. Pro tip: the one that people usually talk about are beef and beans ones...but..I swear..I loved the green chile and cheese so much that I don't even think about trying other flavors! They do have other flavors like beef & beans, chicken and green chile and chicken and beans(?) as well. The only one star was..if you were to buy a burrito on its own, you pay close to $4 for one, which, in my mind, is expensive (esp for a gas station food!). I happened to beg the gas station manager to get the $5 soda/burrito combo, which usually only applied to pepsi & beef and beans burrito. Go try this! The next time I pass by Allsup, you bet I'm not necessarily stopping by for gas or restroom...but all for their burritos!!

They never answer my phone messages, gave them permission for delivery charges three days ago and two subsequent calls not answered. No texts as initially they sent. Today they said the house looked abandoned and they called several times and that USPS delviered on Sat and Sun. Wel they do not delivery on weekends and my property in Corrales has flood light and three house lights all night every day, and a cra parked in front of my entrance. They lie, and are rude. The supervisor was initially rude and seems her attitude spread to others, ONe said she was a pharmacist but I have never had a pharmcist talk to me in a coarse and rude manner. I am giving up and sorry I gave them a chance as they do not deserve my business. My foot is swollen and red and four days past day it was ordered. I am retired RN and have never had such indifferent and rude treatment by a pharmacy.
