We were looking for a good breakfast place in Niagara Falls, well we found it! The food was very good and they served plenty of it. Everyone there was very friendly. The owner went to every table to make sue we were all Good. read more

We were site seeing in the falls and were looking for a quick breakfast. I was able to find this gem using the Yelp app and the reviews looked great. This is a very small quaint diner with a lot of flavor! When we first walked in, although they were packed we were greeted by a very friendly server who sat us right away. The menu is small, but you have the basics. A MUST have is their French toast! Thick sliced smothered in syrup is a must. I ordered the "works scramble". It was very tasty and not greasy like you traditionally see with some scrambled breakfasts. My husband had the "traditional breakfast sandwich" I had a bite and was pleasantly surprised with how tasty a sandwich could be! The owner came around the restaurant and was very friendly, making sure we were happy with our meal My only complaint is they are cash only, and that wasn't mentioned or displayed anywhere in the restaurant that I could see. Luckily they had an ATM in the restaurant, but wish I would of known beforehand. We will be back if we are in the area again read more

Hands down our favorite meal while visiting Niagara Falls! Marketside has that true mom and pop diner feel with the best diner style food to boot! They have the best pancakes I've ever had. Dang good breakfast...Period! We waited a bit because it was really busy, but totally worth the wait. Everything tasted great. Even the Italian bread plain toast was good. Plain toast people! If you have good plain toast you are doing things right. Quality of the food is high, we took some leftovers back to the hotel and when we snacked on the day old pancakes, they were still better than the ones served fresh in the hotel the next morning. We stopped here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We were seated immediately and given coffee that was hot and tasted very fresh and good. Our server was very friendly and helpful, explaining the menu items and that the Italian bread for toast came from a local bakery. I had the original Sal, the story is that Sal Maglie an American Major League Baseball pitcher, always ordered this breakfast so they named it in his honor. The Owner came around and checked on everyone. The restaurant is clean and cozy. Cash only so make sure you are prepared. We will definitely go back and feel like part of the family again! read more

They changed their pricing. Cost me $37 for 2 simple breakfast. Nothing elaborate. They charge separate for each item now. eggs, bacon, toast and God forbid you want hash browns. Food is good but not like it's high quality. Popular place but not worth the $. I'm not cheap by any means either. read more

What a hidden gem! We were visiting the area and were in dire need of breakfast and this place had some great reviews... the experience didn't disappoint! A great local spot for breakfast! The staff treated us like family ! The owner came out to personally ensure everyone was happy and the food was to their satisfaction ! Came in here on a Saturday morning at 11:30am and the place was hopping. Our waitress quickly greeted us and set us up with a couple of coffees. The place isn't that big but it has a decent number of tables. It was pretty full as they close at noon on Saturdays. All the staff is outstanding. They were all running around giving the customers what they want in no time at all. Our waitress was super friendly. The menu is one page, breakfast on one side and lunch on the other. I could not find a combo of bacon, eggs, and toast, which I found a bit odd. I ordered the bacon omelette which came with toast. That was just over $4--the prices here are very reasonable. Cash only. The decor is old and could use some major updates, but if that's how they keep the prices low, then that's certainly okay with me. Our food came out within 5 minutes. Wow, I don't remember getting my order that fast at a restaurant! The omelette was really good with thick pieces of bacon in it. The thick white toast was perfect being just lightly toasted, just the way we like it. The thin rye was toasted a bit too much for me, but tasted good nonetheless. Can't wait to head back to this place, maybe try them out for lunch! read more

The food is fabulous! It's definitely a little hole in the wall, but oh so good. The veggie and cheese sal (sal is eggs mixed with home fries) has fresh sautéed spinach, zucchini, and many other fresh veggies. Great local breakfast place! All the food we ordered was simple yet well executed. Staff was efficient and friendly. We showed up at around 10:45 and this place was packed! We only waited about 5-10 minutes to get seated which surprised us. What I loved was all drinks were the same price, which is usually not the case at other places. I'm a juice person and my husband is a coffee person and I'm always feeling guilty for ordering a juice which for once didn't cost twice the amount as a coffee! Score! read more

Marketside Restaurant was first opened by the Forcucci Family on East Market Street in 1939. Today Marketside Restaurant is owned and operated by Mike Poletti who works alongside both of his two sons. Our mission is to provide delicious food in a friendly and comfortable environment. We have been on the road for almost 1.5 weeks now. I was sorely missing a home cooked meal. After our first choice for breakfast was found to be closed for renovations, we chose this locally owned place. I'm so glad we did! When we entered, we were immediately greeted and told to seat ourselves. The server greeted us and took drink orders. She asked us if this was our first time here (yes), asked where we were from (Florida), told us what their specialty was (Sal maglie), also what bakery their Italian bread came from. I ordered the former with Italian bread and yes, best damn breakfast I've had in a long time! We ordered some food to go for our children and it came out in a timely fashion. My wife noticed this place had great reviews, we decided to give it a try, and it did impress. My boys had the pancakes which were great. The homeless situation is out of control and Mike the owner refuses to not let the homeless people into his restaurant where paying customers are eating. He allows stinky disgusting homeless people in to eat with normal people. What does that say about this restaurant and cleanliness??? I've even seen these homeless use the bathroom. read more

According to the manager, when it gets cold and they close off the outside patio dining area, they light up that fireplace and keep it burning all season. I would love to return in the winter to sit by that fireplace.
