The food here was pretty good. We've had trouble finding decent places to eat so far in Niagara Falls, so were relieved to enjoy what was put in front of us here. The toast was great, and my son's waffle looked incredible! I do, however, have a couple of gripes. First off, they are cash only- and this wasn't indicated anywhere at all. We didn't find out until we tried to pay with credit. I don't often have cash on me, so I was grateful my fiancé did this time around, or we would have been in a bind. A sign at the front counter, on the outer door, or an indication on Yelp or on their Facebook that they only take cash would have been nice. Second, our waitress was gruff and standoffish- if not blatantly rude. When we came in, we walked in with our Starbucks from the morning that we hadn't yet finished... I know sometimes this can be frowned upon, but frankly, I'm pretty particular about how I like my coffee- and most restaurants don't make it that way (nor carry all of the espresso and special drink options you can get elsewhere). Being that I'm there to spend my money in your restaurant, and that I still bought the ($4 a glass!!) orange juice, I'm not sure why this would matter-- but as soon as we walked in, we heard this waitress and another chit chatting loudly about how rude it was for us to bring in outside drinks. Ma'am, what's actually much more rude is complaining about paying customers within earshot before you even seat them. We asked her to split our check and the response was "well, I've already written it down, but I GUESS I can"... And then our check came all together and she disappeared, so we didn't have the chance to ask again. Third- it's crowded. The tables were so close together that we couldn't sit down until the woman at the table next to us had finished getting up- there isn't enough room between the two tables to pull out a chair on each side. Fourth, there are very limited options here. I'm talking one page, one sided, double-spaced for the menu. Which is fine, it's just breakfast, but I was a little surprised at the lack of options. The menus were paper and very coffee-stained which honestly isn't that awful, but i don't understand why they wouldn't be using laminated menus that can be wiped clean if they want to reuse them. All in all, not a terrible experience- but it could definitely have been improved upon. And maybe do some customer service training with the wait staff. read more

It is a cozy place and im not sure who he was, but a gentleman came around judt to ask how we liked our food. The food is amazing! Fantastic breakfast and would recommend 1000%. We were welcomed by extremely friendly owners and staff. As our coffees were poured, the locals came in for food and gathering in this clean, homey breakfast spot. They have a special breakfast called the Sal Maglie--a delicious loaded skillet but you can order it as you wish. My son ordered the pancakes and fruit and it was a beautiful plate. Everyone was happy with their selection and they have toast with bread from a local bakery. On a side note, it also looks like there is plenty of outdoor seating for warm weather dining. The place is a bit hard to find and not in the nicest area of the Falls, but the customer service and food more than make up for anything else. I had the breakfast sandwich, which was served on delicious bread and was appetizing, filling and a steal. I highly recommend the breakfast sandwich. We sat outside and they were more than happy to pull up additional tables for our group and even melted some cheese on a bagel on request. Went on a Niagara Falls trip with some classmates recently and we stopped at this diner. I ordered a plain "Sal", aka an egg and potato dish, which came with toast. Looking around at other ppl's orders, I could see that the food is made well. Only real criticism I have is that the food isn't really seasoned, but take it with a grain of salt because I frequently crave burn-your-bootyhole spicy food. First, let me say the owner of this restaurant was so sincere and nice to us. He greeted us in the dining room while we waited for our to-go plates and since we're from out of town gave us background on what the community has gone through during the lockdown. Such a great guy even gave us free drinks. I ordered the sausage breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. The bread was buttery and the eggs were cooked perfectly. We also got the French toast which didn't last long in the car. Lol The community was pretty quiet since the pandemic has impacted businesses. This restaurant is only 5 minutes away from the falls yet it is 10 times better than the breakfast available at most other establishments. I highly recommend the pancakes! They're light and fluffy and delicious. I also got the spinach and feta omelette which was superb. The homemade Italian bread that came with that dish was heavenly. The service was great and the people were friendly. This restaurant has been open for 50 years and cooks everything on cast iron. I found the space to be quaint and pleasant. My boyfriend and I visited Niagara Falls and wanted to visit a breakfast spot. This place had good reviews so we were anxious to try. Upon arrival of the place, we were greeted by, I believe, the host. She was very welcoming and sat as down. Next, once we got sat down to our table it took a while for us to get attended to. However, I do understand that the place was extremely busy so we both took that into consideration. Once our waitress came to our table she greeted us, gave our drinks, and took our orders. The coffee that she brought to our table was so rushed that the coffee spilled on the table (waitress did not apologize nor clean it), but we cleaned it ourselves and ignored that. This is where things kind of got worse. We waited SO LONG for our food. Customers that got in after us got their food before us, so that is quite odd... We never got an update from our waitress. We see her having side conversations with other customers and coworkers but not with us. So we had the feeling we were feeling isolated in a way we weren't for sure of. We had to raise our hand and get her attention for a while to get a update. Anywho, food was great, just the service was not. I wish I can get our waitress's name but she did not even give that info. This is one of them, from the moment you walk in and here the owner talking to a vendor like they were neighbors.
