I came here with my sister, who has been a loyal customer for over two years, and unfortunately, our most recent visit left a bad impression due to the unprofessional behavior of one of your stylists. As small business owners ourselves, we know how important it is to treat customers with respect--especially loyal ones. This experience did not reflect that standard. To the owners and management: it is important to ensure your staff are properly trained in both communication and customer service. Clear language skills and professionalism are essential in this industry. Also, not every customer is looking for discounts or free services--we are simply looking for quality work and respectful treatment. During this visit, my sister's beautiful hair was shaved in the back with a razor to correct a cut that had been done too short. Using a razor in that way on a woman's hair is highly unprofessional and unacceptable. We understand that mistakes happen. We are all human, and sometimes language barriers or misunderstandings occur. However, what matters most is how those situations are handled--with kindness, accountability, and respect. This is a business that charges premium prices, and with that comes the responsibility to train and guide staff on how to properly interact with customers. We are not asking for refunds or free services. What we expect is acknowledgment, empathy, and clear communication about next steps--instead of being immediately asked to remove a negative review in exchange for a free fix. I also want to be clear that this review is about stylist Maher not Eddie. I've been getting Brazilian Blowouts for years and have always loved the results. My hair is typically silky, smooth, easy to manage, and looks healthier after the treatment. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Maher After my appointment, I followed his instructions and washed my hair the next day. Immediately, I noticed something was wrong. I couldn't run my fingers through my hair. It felt extremely dry, brittle, rough, and damaged. The change was so dramatic that I was genuinely upset and spent days worrying about what had happened to my hair. I returned to the salon to discuss my concerns with Maher and Instead of acknowledging that something may have gone wrong, he made excuses and dismissed my concerns. What shocked me most was when he told me that he doesn't even like doing Brazilian Blowouts. If that's the case, he should not be performing a service he isn't comfortable or confident providing. I paid nearly $600 for this service and was offered no refund, no partial reimbursement, and no meaningful solution. Since then, I've had multiple professionals comment on the condition of my hair. I go to a blow out bar and the girl who does my monthly blowouts, immediately asked what had happened because my hair felt unusually dry and overprocessed. When I told her about the Brazilian Blowout, she said that should never be the outcome and that the treatment was likely not performed correctly. And today, I went in for a trim somewhere else hoping to improve the appearance of the damage. That stylist also commented on how dry and overprocessed my hair felt. Once again, when I explained what had happened, she told me that a Brazilian Blowout should not leave hair in that condition. At this point, I've had multiple professionals independently confirm that my results were not normal. My hair is still struggling to recover, and it will likely take months, if not years, to get it back to the condition it was in before this appointment. I don't leave negative reviews lightly, but I feel obligated to share my experience. My biggest disappointment isn't just the damage itself--it's the complete lack of accountability afterward. Based on my experience, I would not trust Maher with this service or any other services that require chemicals because he clearly does not care or does not know what he's doing.

Booking on their platform did not work for me so I called to book my appointment instead. I did a 10am on a Saturday, thinking ok I'll be done within an hour... *TWO. HOURS. LATER.* (haha) Honestly probably one of the longest blowouts I've ever had but it was definitely worth it and I wasn't in a rush. The chairs they have you lie down on for your wash are sooooo comfortable. My stylist Chasity gave me THREE deep shampoos and the last one I think I fell asleep as she massaged my scalp for the longest time. Anyone who knows me knows that I am a total sucker for a hair and scalp massage. For my conditioner she massaged my scalp AGAIN and then wrapped my head in a hot towel so it was a steam mask for 5-10 minutes. Like wow. The blowout itself was done with such precision. Using the Dyson hair dryer, my hair was gathered into small sections and every flyaway was tamed. I have a lot of hair and it's pretty long so I really appreciate her commitment to the process. My hair afterwards was sooooo soft, shiny, and silky. Chasity did an amazing job! Also, they're very reasonably priced. My blowout was $50... my salon in NYC could NEVER. Such a luxurious service for such a great price! If I ever need a blowout again while visiting my hometown, I will be definitely booking an appointment here.
