Where do I start? I follow Mark's Garden on Instagram and drive by their beautiful display almost weekly. I have dreamed about ordering flowers from here for, so on Valentine's Day I thought why not? It's a good excuse to buy flowers for my daughters and me :-) , not to mention they had an adorable flower cart set up outside that I had to check out. I bought 2 arrangements and even though they were crazy busy the staff was attentive and so so sweet! Unfortunately the next morning one of the arrangements was already half wilted so I took it back asking if they can refresh them for me. Even though the driving back and forth was a pain, it was well worth it. And btw they even offered to deliver it, but I wanted another excuse to see the heavenly flowers inside their store. I went back today and they not only refreshed the original flowers they made it extra gorgeous and gave me 2!! I am now a forever and loyal customer for future arrangements..they're creativity with their arrangements & amazing customer service is unmatched. I might go weekly now lol read more

MArk's Garden clearly sold a list and mistakenly put my address with the name of the person who sent me flowers so I it's clear how this happened. I want to give these guys a better rating but im thoroughly dissapointed. I ordered an Il Mezzo and picked it up in store as it was close to where I live. When I went to pick it up the arrangement I ordered, while beautiful, looked nothing like the photos on the website. I understand that flowers could be out of season, but if that was going to be the case here i wish i was forewarned. Additionally, there is no excuse to put 3 dead hydrangeas in the arrangement. I ripped them out before giving the flowers as a gift. Im glad i didnt have them delievered or I wouldve been completed embarrassed. The roses in the arrangement have a lot of damaged petals as well. More professional shops usually check for these and pluck them. This seems more like a flower arrangement factory than a shop that cares about quality. RUINED VALENTINE'S Day - We've been using Marks's Garden for years and many very large events both personally and for business. Every year I order the Premium English Garden arrangement so my wife and I are very familiar with this floral array. But today's delivery was GARBAGE. The arrangement was a fraction of its normal size, the flowers were either fully bloomed or well on their way to COMPOST and the "accessory greens" looked like a dog took a few bites out of them (literally holes and tears in them). While they "replaced" this arrangement a few hours later, the "replacement" was even worse. When my wife complained over email she was IGNORED, with still no response. I get it that it's the busiest days for florists, but delivering WITHERING products like this and then ignoring customer complaints (especially on Valentine's Day) is pathetic. read more

I'm not a yelp reviewer but I felt inclined to talk about my favorite florist. Mark's Garden is fabulous. They've taken care of me for a decade. Wow, I can't believe it has been THAT long! Their designers are the best and their customer service is unbeatable. They are my 'go to' florist. Period. End of story. I send floral arrangements all the time to friends, business associates etc. I make one phone call and have complete trust that everything will be handled. They haven't let me down in 10 years. Very disappointed in Mark's Garden. We've used them quite a bit at work to send thank you flowers. I called and spoke about getting a custom arrangement - referenced one of the arrangements that I saw online, but asked if it could be bigger - as this was for someone with a large home, kitchen - and a little arrangement wouldn't make an impact. She was very curt with me on the phone - very rushed. She finally said that she would make the arrangement bigger - with delivery and everything, total was around $120 which was great. Day of event/delivery- I noticed the flowers hadn't arrived by noon (we arranged for delivery on the day of the event) - and when I called, the rep was again very short and rude with me - but stated the arrangement would arrive by 3pm as her driver was in Venice. I said that was fine - but the flowers needed to arrive by then as the event was just a few hours later. I arrive at the event - very busy setting up, etc. I begin checking in guests (event started at 7pm) and wouldn't you know - that a marks garden van pulls up between 7:30p-8p with the delivery. I was dumbfounded. No courtesy call that the arrangement was going to be late - AND The arrangement was small and pitiful. The white roses were beginning to become 'crispy' and brown on the inside. Seriously, an embarrassment and we couldn't give these flowers to our client - it would be awkward to hand them out in the middle of this event - and the presentation was COMPLETELY unacceptable. Marks garden does a lot of work for studios and apparently doesn't care about regular deliveries. Save your time and money and find another florist. Learned my lesson by using them for big events/clients. read more

I went to a wedding done by Mark and I was blown away. I felt like a little girl and practically begged my platonic and gay friend to marry me, just so I could have floral arrangements on a grand scheme, pleeeeeeease. So i remembered him, when my boss needed some flowers for his lady friend. I called them on the phone, and explained the situation. Ladies and gents who love flowers, you feel me. I was to the point, but I wanted classy and elegant, in season, and I didn't want any crap. I suggested going all white. The lady was pushing peonies, and I was having none of it. We decided on an arrangement of casablanca lilies and other flowers and named. When my boss's lady bird sent a photo of the arrangement she received it looked like a clown vomited a flower arrangement of peonies and stock for $150 even my manly man boss called it "gaudy" and shielded his eyes for a moment. When I called to complain, their remedy: pick up the flowers and exchange them for the flowers I originally ordered, even though they acknowledged their mistake. It took many phone calls (and I'm a lawyer (and billable hours down the tubes), and was just doing a flower-loving favor), for them to offer any other remedy. Five phone calls just to talk to a manager? What kind of conglomerate are they running? I took Mark's Garden out of my wedding album (the one in my head .... the one in my head, I promise!!!!), and now will wait for another more reliable florist who doesn't use clown costumes are inspirations and think remedies are taking flowers away from those who receive them as gifts. read more

Went in here the day after valentines day. I was severely disappointed at the wilted vase of flowers they claimed had been made especially to my order. So I ended up paying a large sum of money for some left over, unwanted, and sad-looking flowers. I should have refused payment and gone somewhere else but they had already taken my credit card number over the phone and had caught me at a vulnerable moment. Never will I go here again though. I should have gone to somewhere else. I thought it would have been worth dealing with their pretentious, and unfriendly attitude over the phone to get some good quality flowers, until I found their presentation to be worse than, and more exepnsive than an arrangement from a place called Flower Girl. I received a bouquet from here for an event and it was lovely. That is why I decided to stop in to inquire about wedding flowers. This is where things went downhill. I went in and asked at the counter about getting a small bridal bouquet. I am having a very small intimate wedding and did not want to give the impression that I would be buying 15 bouquets and tons of flowers for a large cathedral. However, I am willing to pay good money for good product, so I did not expect to get something for nothing. However the lady at the counter immediately began by telling me I could not afford their flowers because they "START AT $75!" She went on and on about how expensive bridal bouquets can be - "like $200 dollars sometimes." I am very aware of this and willing to pay the price. She basically refused to talk to me about anything but their prohibitively expensive prices until I got mad and told her, "I am not having a small wedding because I cannot afford anything else, it is because that is what I have chosen to do!" At which point she went and got a picture book, said something about "if you want to know prices talk to so and so because she knows the prices." Then she left us to sit with the book. My fiance and I half heartedly looked at the pictures because at that point there is no way we are giving them our money. If she had been nice and or sat us down with their bridal expert or even offered to book us an appointment, they probably would have gotten the easiest $300 sale ever, but instead they got a negative review here. I went to the Flower Girl instead and was pleased beyond all expectations! Go to her instead - on Riverside in Studio City. Unless you're a celebrity or having a huge event, their everyday arrangements are horrible and that's if you even get what you order. Once again I am disappointed with Marks Garden. They used to be the best- and sadly my husband continues to give them a chance to be good again- but honey- i love you but MARKS GARDEN is no longer our florist of choice- if you can't find a better florist in all of LA don't send me flowers. The disappointment of getting bad flowers is worse than not getting any. OK now that I have yelped my husband- Let's discuss the Anniversary flowers that look like they should be at a fall funeral. Lots of dead fall leaves with 6 red and 6 white roses stuffed into a glass vase. The arrangement is huge in volume- but not in flowers- where are the romantic arrangements they used to send- the overstuffed baskets? I placed an order of over $130 and before concluding my business requested Mark's Garden simply email / text me a picture of what would be sent to my client. The order taker refused. "It's our policy not to send pictures of our arrangements," she claimed. I requested to speak with the owner, who told me in a manner of fact tone, "We've been in business for 20 years and simply do NOT send pictures [of what you buy]." Rather than enjoy the apoplectic moment available, I simply cancelled the order and got my Yelp on. Not for nothing, the folks at Empty Vase in West Hollywood were more than happy to share a picture of what they created for this order. They handle simple requests like mine with aplomb. read more

I've had great experiences here and horrible. Horrible when I wanted to have them decorate for my wedding. I even used "Mistral" to get them to give me better service since that's where I had our wedding reception. The woman gave us the wedding flower book at us and told us to let her know. I've gone there at Christmas time and they did an amazing job. We had a very high budget for the wedding and had given them plenty of business so it was just their cavalier attitude that turned me off. Great experience with the people at the front - flowers are gorgeous. wedding - sucks. No, we didn't use them for the wedding and haven't been back. Wedding was quite some time ago, so maybe it's different now but I won't take the chance and go back. I've had friends say the same thing - their customer service sucks. read more

This is an update to my prior negative review. Mark's Garden contacted me to say that they were very sorry for the issue with the prior delivery not matching what was advertised and with the problems my MIL encountered on their review site. They offered to send me a replacement bouquet to make up for it and said they are working with their vendor on the website review issue. I received the replacement flowers today and they are extraordinary. In my view these match the photo and they have really redeemed themselves. Thank you Mark's garden for your excellent customer service and the fact that you care about each order that goes out. I am very impressed by this and will recommend you in the future. read more

I really do love this florist. They have wonderful arrangements. Their best are those in baskets. However, those in regular ol' vases aren't bad either. My company uses this florist exclusively through the year but we have them send the most out during the holidays. One of our clients is way out in the Santa Barbara county. In the past, Mark's Garden used a local florist to arrange the flowers to be sent but they were never as good. However, they recently started shipping their arrangements via FedEx and so now we're able to send their actual arrangements. You could order them online through their website but I find it's much easier to talk to someone over the phone. I can tell them exactly what I would like to send and the amount I want to send versus selecting a pre-priced arrangement. read more

PRETTY FLOWERS, BAAAADDD SERVICE!!!!!!!! DON'T DO IT! I should have known better than to try a new place without first checking Yelp to see the reviews. I was looking for a florist in the San Fernando Valley because that is where my boyfriend's office is located. I had to have something elegant and out of the ordinary because my boyfriend sends me flowers all the time from my neighborhood florist, Larchmont Florists, ( Unfortunately Chatsworth is out of their delivery area) that are always exquisite, so I wanted his to be the same. I found Mark's Garden on the internet and was immediately attracted to their beautiful designs and sophisticated arrangements. I called Mark's Garden at 12:30pm to see if I could possibly get a same day delivery. After being on hold for 8 minutes someone came back on the line and just started asking for my information. So again I asked if they were sure they could deliver that day (and before 5:00) and she assured me they could. At 4:30 I received a call from Mark's asking what time the business closed, because the driver was running behind. I informed her once again that they close at 5:00 and she said they should be there by then. Just in case, I thought I'll give them my boyfriend's office extension and cell phone number if the office phones happened to be forwarded to the vm system. At a few minutes after 5 they called my boyfriend's cell phone and said they were sorry if they were ruining a surprise, but that the driver was on his way and should be there in a few minutes. He waited until 5:50pm and they never showed. After I found out that he never got the flowers I thought for sure I would hear from Mark's the next morning apologizing, with a promise to deliver them first thing. No chance. I finally called them at 11:00am to find out what was going on. I was placed on hold for 10 MINUTES and she finally came back and said she was sorry and that they would waive the delivery fee! So what about the delivery??? I informed them that he was only going to be in the office for a couple more hours (they've had all morning at this point) at 11:30. The good news is he actually got the flowers after all this hassle- the bad news is, it wasn't what I ordered. I ordered something masculine with deep blues and burgundy in a square vase and they sent him pink and orange flowers in a round bowl with water. UGH!!! NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE ALL THE WAY AROUND. ALSO, NOTE THAT THE PEOPLE WHO WROTE THE GOOD REVIEWS WERE PEOPLE THAT RECEIVED FLOWERS- THEY HAVEN'T HAD THE EXPERIENCE OF SENDING THEM. read more

(I have updated my previous review based on a very pleasant exchange with the owner.) In my case, I ordered online, and called to confirm the order and what I ordered. The delivery date and time worked out fine. What did not work was what they delivered. i realize there is always variance in flower delivery between pictures and whats available, however in this case i ordered the $250 Contemporary bouquet marked (as shown) and my Girlfriend received an Easter bouquet I would send my Mom. It wasn't anything close to what I ordered. It was very disappointing to not have bouquet I ordered arrive as expected. I think it is more that fair to have high expectations when the price point is at the very top end of the floral business. In fairness, I am giving them 2 stars because they refunded 50% of the order. But who even really cares, I would have much rather had them deliver the correct flowers and save me the aggravation. (update) The owner did private message me and offer a free delivery of flowers to make up for things. I politely declined because I am not trying to milk the situation and I understand that we all make mistakes. Because the owner privately reached out and didn't make an offer in exchange for anything other than good customer service I am giving Marks Garden 2 additional stars. it is very rare to have that happen and they deserve the credit. read more
