We had a rock chip in my wife's Subaru so I immediately looked for a repair company - preferably mobile. Saw Mark's positive rankings - everywhere - and quickly determined he was the guy for us. I called and he came out the next morning. The windshield was covered in condensation. He explained that to dry it for a successful repair required heating the windshield to a high temp to remove all humidity. I instantly had visions of the heat cracking the windshield and that is exactly what he explained next. He recommended we wait until the windshield was dry from the sun and then cover the chip with tape. That's what we did and he came back to fix it the next day.
