This place is a joke…read more I brought in a $400 wallet to get cleaned up. The guy working told me he could fix it in 40 minutes for $5. I thought to myself, "What a great deal!" I come back 40 minutes later and all the guy did was paint over the dirt marks. He even had the guts to tell my that my wallet was not leather! Infuriated, I asked him if could undo what he did and what do you know, he hardly knows any English. How does a place like this even exist? I went to two other cleaners before this one and they told me, honestly, that they couldn't do it. Why couldn't this guy do the same? The only repair this place does is paint. If you want your $20 dirty leather goods to be painted over for $5 this is the place to go. If you want the guy to get something done the way you want it to you better go somewhere else or speak Russian. Almost forgot to mention, Maksim is the son of the guy that works here.

I just happened to see my shoes in the window and after a series of questions he agreed the shoes were mine but were not ready (one day after the ready time). I came back two days later, still not ready. Came back three days after that and he gave me two pairs and wanted more time for the third pair - he hadn't started the repair. I asked for a refund for that pair of shoes (which he gave me) and took my shoes home. When I got home I realized he did not repair the shoes I did pay for! So one week, four trips and $80 and still have three pair of shoes in need of repair.

I found him thanks to Yelp, and noticed he was local to my home and quickly reached out regarding my unfavorable damage to my vintage LV wallet. This 2004 coin purse wallet combo has seen better days, and when my wallet was rejected for repairs from the original source, I didn't want to give up on it. Paul asked me to send pictures of the damages so he could quote me properly due to the amount of work involved. We agreed on a price and even the amount I had to leave for deposit wasn't an issue. He wanted to make sure that I would trust his judgement and value his work. Paul said to give him a week and he delivered it to me in 5 days time! Be sure to always ask him what the store hours are, as he unfortunately is experiencing flood damages to his work space. How he was still able to fix this wallet for me in such dire conditions, I'll never know. He's chatty and friendly, and could use more foot traffic as this kind of work is clearly dying in the industry. He seamless repaired my coin purse compartment that kept leaking coins all over my bag, as well as the bills compartment that was fatigued. The work is perfect; beat that 5th ave! I called at 2:42pm, didn't recognize the voice who answered, asked again if the shop is open - in English - and got yelled at for speaking English! Was told not to play games (!) and not to be rude (for speaking English!). Naturally, I hang up and will not place any orders with this so called business. PS. Seeing response to my review insulting me for trying to give them business confirms this is a nasty place, totally unprofessional. I do NOT recommend anyone to deal with them, ever!
