I took my John Deere riding lawnmower to Mark. We discussed what was wrong and he thought it was a belt. He informed me that he was busy and it would be 3 to 4 weeks before he could service it. He picked it up on 6/8. On 6/15, I was away from my phone and saw that Mark had called and left a message. I thought that he was calling to let me know what was wrong with the lawnmower and to give me an estimate for the repairs. Instead, the message stated that my lawnmower had been repaired and that the cost was $998.40. I could not believe it. I was never told what was wrong with the lawnmower and I was never given a price for the repairs. My lawnmower is 23 years old and I would never agree to $1000 of repairs on a lawnmower of that age. When I called Mark back and questioned on why I was never called with an estimate nor was I given a chance to authorize the repairs. He simply stated that he would keep the lawnmower and sell it to get his money. read more
