I'm more of a do-it-yourselfer and have generally steered away from dealerships because I had the impression they always want to pressure you with sales. Since I've had some really good experiences over the last year or so with Liberty Cycle Center I thought I should share them: 1) Had a problem with my carbs and the guy behind the counter came out and looked it over with me. The problem came from some modifications I'd done so they didn't sell a bolt on part to fix it, but he took the time to look at it and troubleshoot with me for a minute. No sale. 2) Had put my bike back together another time and found a serious "ticking" noise. Thinking I might have ruined the motor I took it up to the mechanics here. After talking about the work I'd done and a couple minutes of listening the mechanic pointed out I likely overadjusted in one step which was an easy fix for me on the spot. No sale - they just asked that I give them a chance to earn their business whenever I needed parts and things. 3) Got an inspection the other day and inspector (the shop manager - I'm just horrible with names!) told me my tires were low. Well I've been riding off and on for 25 years now so I wasn't sure what he was getting at. After we checked the pressure and looked at some specs for the bike I realized I'd been doing this wrong for 25 years! $10 for the inspection - FREE education and airing of tires. So what I'm getting at here is everyone I've dealt with has been friendly, didn't pressure me on anything, and has been very knowledgable, fair and helpful. I DO actually buy things here. Don't know why yelp has only one besides this one but we all agree--it is a JOY to deal with these folks! They ARE Customer Service at its finest, and this is especially evident in these mediocre days of lack-luster customer service. Worked mainly with Duncan and Courtney, but the entire staff seems very accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. They did me right and I'm extremely happy with my motorcycle buying experience there. They will answer any questions, but are not pushy in the least - not at all like some car salesmen: "So - what would it take to get you in this car tonight?" or "So - how much per month can you afford?" They were extremely respectful and responsive to my needs, as well as flexible. I felt like family when I went to LCC. The guys were great and they were very helpful. I actually have fun when I go in. The Sales guy there, Duncan is very helpful and that means something when you're a women going into a motorcycle shop. The Service manager, Dave is also very helpful and I'll always bring my powersports to LCC for service. They're just great all around. The Parts guy, Larry was very helpful with my boys when picking out helmets. The overall experience was just fabulous! LCC is beyond the top! I will ALWAYS go to Liberty Cycle Center for any bike I wish to purchase or even service. Duncan has been the "go to" guy for years. Larry makes sure we are taken care of when we need parts (or even a new plow for a 4 wheeler in a snow storm) putting it partly together in the store and Duncan driving it to my house so I didn't have to get out in the snow! And then this last week, Kevin in service was EXTREMELY helpful and very nice. He's a keeper as well LCC! Make your purchases at a family store, they are better than the other guys! read more

I went to this awesome shop to get tires installed on my Harley. While this place will mount and balance tires that are removed from ANY bike, they won't install them while the wheels are on Harleys. Imagine my surprise when Dave in the Service Department was able to recommend a guy that could do the work for me! He went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. On my cross country trip from Florida to Alaska and back we needed new tires so I called LCC a day ahead of our expected arrival in KC, and was greeted on the phone by Dave the Service Manager and explained that I was stopping through but needed new tires. Dave said they where booked solid but for a Yamaha FJR they would find a opening. It was a pleasure at. Liberty cycle center is amazing. Duncan, Kevin. And Jeff all helped us every time we went in. This place will never give up they tried everything to get my husband his bike and it just couldn't happen then when it did they were right there every step of the way from paper work to us getting gear to getting my husband on the road. I took a set of wheels with tires on them to be balanced. They were quick and friendly in the service department. Even with a minimal job as such I received a call a few days later to ask if everything worked out for me after I installed them on my bike. I will return and more then likely have them do the service on my R1 for a manual CCT and to check the valves when it's needed. I purchased my motorcycle from LCC last fall, and I was very pleased with the level of service on the sale. Staff at the parts desk are also helpful, and go the extra mile to order what I need. Recently, I took my bike in for 8,000 mile servicing and assistance adding on a few options. The service department was very knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating to my schedule and my needs. I am truly glad that LCC is in my area, they are able to get anything I need for either bike of mine within a couple of days. The Staff is amazing, everyone from sales to the service and even to the guys in the basement turning wrenches. Buying from them is easy, no hassles no hidden fees. I recently had a terrific experience with the Liberty Cycle Center (LCC Powersports) service department. I took my Yamaha Raptor in to get it's first service done, and the service department couldn't be more helpful.
